This week is particularly fun, as it is "redemption week" Once Kennedy loses 5 times, they bring those callers back, so Kennedy can try to redeem herself. At the time when the caller has finished answering the questions, and Kennedy is coming back into the studio, there is a voice clip they play where a guy says "KENNEDY!!!!!" When Aidan was little, he used to imitate it, so one day I videoed him, and sent it in...years ago. Well, it just so happened to be redemption week, and they played Aidan's "Kennedy!" for that whole week. Since then, it is his voice they use for redemption week...so I get to hear my son on the radio, on my way to work this week!
They also have an after show, where they video discussions with the deejays, producer, interns, etc. that they put up on facebook. I can't let Aidan watch those, as they are not for kids...and rarely have time to watch them myself. But back in October, I brought Aidan in to see the show live, and we made the whole crew some wands, since we know Kennedy is an HP fan...and we didn't want to leave anyone out. But every day, the producer is holding the wand Aidan made that he got that day. I've shown Aidan a short clip so he can see it. That kid thinks he's famous!!! LOL

Duddahs has struggled recently with a decision to have one of his students move on to a high level sanctioned coaching team vs. trying to make his way forward with his charge.
Duddahs decided that his little one was simply becoming the big fish in the little pond and felt it is in the best interest of the little one to move her into a larger pond.
This so reminds Duddahs of the many steps of maturity that Harry Potter and those who helped him become the great wizard he was ultimately to become.
It is a saddened yet hopeful heart that allows ones own passion and love for another to be forged in memories and ultimately lead to their coming into their own.
The woes of every parent and teacher yet the gift that makes us all realize that we have been on the side of good.

My Harry Potter Dejavu....
I saw some old movie the other day, I forget what it was right now. But then I noticed the guy was wearing Potter eyeglasses. I forgot about that being a fad back in the days when the films and books were still being made/written. It brought a smile to my face.

My Harry Potter dejavu.... Today is October 13, 2017. In two days, we will take down our humming bird feeders for the year. Their migration south has pretty much ran through our area anyway. We get about one each morning. Two days ago, I heard one out there, I turned my head and saw the fattest one I've ever saw. My first thought, "Hey there's a Snidget." Honestly, she must have been pregnant... that's all I could come up with. This is also why she was bringing up the tail end of the migration line of the species. She was very round just like this. I only wish I was quick enough with my camera... but you know how quick humming birds are. LOL.  |

I would love to see that! Our hummingbirds usually leave sometime near the end of September. This year they left midway through Sept which was earlier that usual. Wondering if that means we're going to have a hard winter?

I am currently reading the Lightbringer series by Brent Weeks. There's a boy named Kip in it who's going to a sort of school for magic. He has a tendency to make smart alecky remarks in classes, even though he tells himself not to. It reminded me of Harry and how he would sometimes mouth off in class, especially with Umbridge.
I find lots of times I get deja vu for the HP books when reading other books.

I once had a friend named Kip. A couple of days ago, I took a quick online quiz. "What's your cat name?" None of the questions even came close to anything resembling anything Potter. Still, mine did NOT come back MsCharlotte either. It was Luna.  I wondered how in the world did they come up with that?  Love it. ===== I finally backread the earlier entries on this page. Lots of good stuff. I'm so glad you guys posted. Oh and guess what? I had chocolate in my mouth while reading these too. Perfect ending to the day.  |

My Harry Potter Deja vu for today.....
I was watching American Movie Classics this evening. I was watching a movie called, "She" with Ursula Andrews and Christopher Lee in it. She played a 2,000 year old immortal living in Egypt. (I only caught the last part of the film.) Anyway, She finally found the reincarnation of her true love and wanted to make him into an immortal as well.
Well, There was a magical fire they had to step into that changed color from red to blue and was cool enough to stand in where they won't be burned for the process to work. I laughed because they acted like the blue flamed tickled them. Also, along the wall was a goblet that was filled with flames that the camera focused in on. You all know what I first thought of.

Got home from work and checked my mail and there was an ad from Chewy.com. It had a pic of an adorable Boston terrier and of course I immediately thought of Duddahs and his Monty. I find I often have things that remind me of all of you. I have thought that I should post some of them in here so here is my first post. |

The other day I was on my computer and kept hearing a cat cry-I thought it must be my Royal but didn't see him anywhere. I finally realized OOP was on tv and I was hearing Umbridge's cat plates in her office crying! It made me remember our discussions about how some of us would like to have one of those plates, I still want one!
