This time of year I have a running gag with my sister about my dog Andy. I'll say how he's on 'Santa Paws" naughty list. Then he'll be good and he'll be off the list, then he'll get into something and I'll email my sister-we just got notified, he's back on again! I can just picture these notifications appearing out of thin air and I just realized I may have gotten the idea from Harry Potter. Remember Harry getting those notifications-you are expelled from Hogwarts, and then an owl saying Dumbledore says to stay where you are, and back and forth?

I'm sitting here and I look up only to find a family member turned on the Harry Potter movies this evening. SS just went off and now COS is on. YAY!
My dejavu is that I've been thinking about all of you here a lot over the past couple of weeks. I'm so glad to get to sit down and post here tonight. <3

:DOK here's a Harry Potter dejavu that happens nearly daily here in my house.
My Loki cat is all black. From time to time we don't see her until she opens her eyes and scares the bajeebeez out of us.
Just a second ago, I KNEW she was cold and had been underneath the fuzzy blanket I'm covered up with. I thought she was getting into another comfortable position when suddenly, I look down and ONLY see her eyes shining looking up at me from the blanket's edge. Reminds me so much of Dobby peeking at Harry from the Dursley's bushes.

My Harry Potter Dejavu.... Right now I have the monitor on then suddenly, I hear snoring coming through. (it's my son. I need to go tend to him for a moment.) But my thoughts are of those sleeping portraits at Hogwarts. Makes me smile. Tootles!

My Harry Potter Dejavu....
I can't remember what it was I was reading last night, but it mentioned something having to do with a living room. My Harry Potter thought that popped into my head was a room that was living. WOW! What could that mean? A magical room???
EDITED: I just found the words where I saw the words "Living Room" LOL! It's from Pottermore's new updates.
No wonder I was thinking of a room that was living. It was referring to Lovegood's living room and my sleepy mind filled in the weird point of view of that.

I have just started playing Candy Crush on Facebook-fun but I'm not very good at it. I said to myself the other day that I had just passed a level "by sheer dumb luck." Then realized this was the McGonagall quote from the movie and it has become part of my regular vocabulary!

I love that quote of hers. Now I can think of both of you whenever I hear it again. I have several Harry Potter Dejavu's to share.... Over the weekend, while we were on our trip looking for river rocks, we found ourselves passing through a couple of rinky dink towns. I had to do a double take when I saw the signs. One was, Haggarville. My Harry Potter mind was seeing HAGRIDSVILLE. Just a few minutes later we passed Pottsville... and of course I first thought it said POTTERSVILLE. THen a few minutes ago.... WHen I was getting ready to wish Erin a Happy Birthday, I had to backspace because I was typing: HARRY BIRTHDAY to Erin. UGH! What would she think? THen a minute ago, I went to peek on my son, and had to tend to him for a sec. I looked out of his front window where our carport is at. I had used the water hose earlier to wash off the mud/dirt from the river rocks. I peeked to see how they are drying. THen there he be.... TREVOR! He was looking at my rocks outside. I guess Neville will never keep that toad in check... He's FREEEEE!!!

That's interesting because isn't Hagger what Grawp called Hagrid? We always have toads in our garden-we always call them Teddy because my Mom would always tell us "Teddy the Toad is back" every summer. I'll have to name one of them Trevor now that I've seen your post!

Wow. I completely forgot that Grawp called him that. LOL! I love your Teddy story. We too have toads that like to come up on our porch at night. When we lived out in the country we had more tree frog. They were so cute.
ANother Harry Potter thought for last night... After I did my last post here, I peeked again and saw a 4 inch slug by the rocks. I laughed knowing what I just posted and thought to myself, I guess Ron's been around here too. Possibly looking for Trevor.

My Harry Potter Dejavu....
I am currently watching en episode of Poirot on Netflix. I had to do a doubletake. Once Poirot and Haystings exit a person's house, I noticed as they were walking down the front steps, that over to the side of the door were orange bulbs growing up the wall in lots of leafy green vines. I suddenly thought of Mr. Lovegood's Daridgable (sp?) Plumbs growing next to HIS front door.

I have a talking skeleton for Halloween which right now is hanging on the inside of my kitchen door. He is getting low on batteries so instead of saying the line ":another guest, so good of you to come" , he keeps saying less and less, sometimes doesn't even get through the word another. Reminds of the party Gryffindor had-I have to read it again but I think the twins had enchanted fireworks or something that kept saying less and less as the spell wore down(I think they were taunting Umbridge). My skeleton reminds me of this every time.

We usually bring out our talking skull to place outside, on the porch next to the front door only to greet the trick or treators. However I do recall a few years ago, my daughter liked to hide it next to the hallway at night so she could scare the bajeebeez out of me. Such a goof. So far, I've been digging out the jackolanterns (not home made) but ceramic etc. to decorate in the living room. I found some more just a couple of days ago and placed them on my TV stand. Oh how I'd LOVE to have one of Hagrid's giant ones to sit out in the middle of my front lawn.

Watching The Polar Express and I guess I'd forgotten all about the scene in the big room with all the discarded toys. Did it remind anyone else of the Room of Requirement?

I only saw that movie once. Eek. I think I remember the room you mentioned. My Harry Potter Deja vu.... I was watching Doctor Who last night. They are recapping some of the episodes from the beginning of this season. Only differences are the two parters are both played back to back each Saturday AND they have twitter pop ups where people comment on what they thought/saw the first time around. (as well as behind the scenes comments by the maker.) OK... there was one scene where there was this one guy who is a snake man. He was hissing at the Doctor. The Doctor (can speak tons of languages, including horse, and baby infants etc. LOL) well, he understood what the hissing was saying and answered him back in our language. Some fan popped in to say the Doctor can speak Parceltongue. LOL I died laughing. What's bad? I didn't catch it and here I'm supposed to be this big Harry Potter fan.

We rented Goosebumps movie today... My dejavu moment was when the INK came out of the books and the creatures came alive, then vice versus. I remember how cool it was when Harry killed the diary that it was the ink that died Ginny's hair and flowed out of the book into the nearby water, that was magical after the Diary Tom died.

My Harry Potter Deja Vu.... I was watching Star Trek the Next Generation this afternoon. They had another marathon on. I had it on while tending to son's lunch. I really wasn't paying it any attention until I heard Dr. Crusher speak to a member of the crew, calling him "Salizar". I thought... WHAT? Then later on within the same episode, Data was talking about his brother Lore, saying something about "the greater good." Ok anyone who does not know it already, Lore is a bad bad android. Evil some would say. Corrupt. LOL. I looked up the date this episode came out... 1993. It really makes me wonder how far JKR was in her writing of the Potter series when this episode came out?

Deja Vu

Post by Duddahs on Mar 24, 2016 8:25:25 GMT -6
Duddahs had a Deja Vu moment this morning while he was at the Ice Box.
It was 6:00am, there was not a living soul in sight, the ice box was opened just moments prior to Duddahs arrival by one of the Zamboni drivers who comes in early each morning. Duddahs did not see him, came into the darkened arena, turned on the lights, music, put on his skates and proceeded out onto the ice box surface to warm up his chilled ole bones.
While waiting for his little chickadee to arrive for her early morning lesson (she is the little one who survived the Sandy Hook School massacre and is now age 9).
For a brief moment, Duddahs was struck by how quiet and beautiful it was there, no one to bother him, no one to answer to, and suddenly Duddahs was struck with the deep feeling of the past when he would teach an early morning Moms and Pops and kids pre school learn to skate class.
Duddahs clearly remembered how he would come in early, go into his office, put on the coffee, put on the music, the partial lighting and set out with super sized magic markers to draw all manner of Hogwarts associated paths, castles, creatures etc on the surface of the ice. These drawn images were then used to teach the little ones how to follow paths, make directions by reading and associating the images with the words, how to bend down and pick up small stuffed animals like Dragons etc and where their directions would lead them to places like the dungeons, the quidditch pitch where certain dragon toys were to be deposited and then they would have to follow the drawn paths to go to the different places and events from the book series.
Duddahs had a little bit of time holding back the tears but then his little one showed up, all bright eyed and bushy tailed.
Everything is back in order, yet Duddahs misses the little one's the most since his semi retirement. Does not miss all the early AM ice times but still misses seeing the little ones growing up to become who they must be today!

Oh Duddahs. Why don't you do that for her even today since SHE is still a little one and you have her very early in the morning? I think she'd enjoy that very much. Hmm? Or was that something you taught your ones just starting out and she's past that level by now?

Today we had pizza for supper. I love it but don't have it that often-it reminded me of when this site was new and Miss Charlotte was doing a thread for some kind of test or experiment and named it "pizza" just so it would have a title. But we all got to posting about pizza on that thread, different kinds we liked etc, and it went on for quite a while, it was fun. If we ever get a thread of Lovegood Lounge memories like we have for the WB, this will be one of mine!

Oh you are so sweet.... Just to let you know, (in case you didn't already) That thread is still active. If you look over to the far left of this site, WAY up top, just beneath that picture of Xeno, I have a link (where there's an image of a map.) If you click it, it will take you to the page where ALL of the threads are much easier to find. (The Lovegood Map thread.) I had to smile when I found where I had stashed the Pizza thread ages ago. Our site is filled with so many memories (as you said) that even for me, I have to use that handy thread finder just to know where all of our threads are. Oh and I cooked pizza just the other night. ...... My Harry Potter dejavu.... The other day, when looking up pictures of old abandoned mansions and forgotten castles, for some reason I had wandered into finding pictures of what I imagine Malfoy's home to look like in all occasions. So beautiful.
