My Harry Potter dejavu..... Tonight is July 4th.... I'm sitting here in my home watching COS on mute, while trying to read some in my Potter books. There's so many explosions, fireworks all around my house that I had to smile for thinking about the night people were celebrating in book one for thinking baby Harry had defeated Voldemort.

My Harry Potter, dejavu.... I had to laugh. The other day, when talking with my daughter, I told her I had to take her car for the day. (Really, it's our car. It will be hers when she finally graduates. She's just using it for now as her own.) I told her that I had to take her dad to an appointment and the van is a bit too bumpy for him to deal with right now. She laughed and went into character sounding like the shrunken head and quoting his line about the "bumpy ride." Then she said, we ought to get a shrunken head and hang it from our rear view mirror just for fun. I added that I'd love to do that and have the van painted purple to match. Oh what fun!

I have been reading the fantasy series Shadow Campaigns since book one. Now in the fourth book of five, it seems like my favorite character, First Consul Janus, is being set up to be the bad guy, very, very bad possibly, which is really bothering me. However it had given me such a strong deja vu, remembering HPB and Snape-everyone wondering if he would turn out to be good or evil. I'm hoping this series will turn out the same way (the character turning out to be on the side of good) but it doesn't look promising. Fun to relive all those old memories and all the many, many Snape threads back then though!

My Harry Potter Dejavu.... Hubby took me out for breakfast yesterday morning at the Cracker Barrel. For us, this is our favorite place to go get a home cooked breakfast. In case you have never eaten at one of these resturants, they are old fashioned country style food. The atmosphere is wonderful. They literally have a huge fireplace with a fire burning in the dining room. The food is more like what your grandmother would make with home made buttermilk biscuits and white gravy, scrambled eggs, country ham or thick sliced bacon or sausage links, baked apples on the side, pancakes too if you want. The walls are decorated with very old fashioned antiques. Old black and white framed portraits from back in the early 1900's or older. Think of an old country store, from back in the 1940's era. Remember the old advertisements on metal signs.. (a bottle of pop for 2 cents, oil cans from companies no longer in business) or seen old washboards, a dress maker's mannequin from the old days, a lady's hat from 1930's, or a gentlemen's old top hat from earlier than that. Old farm equiptment, or those old bicycles that have a HUGE front wheel and a tiny back one.... Those sorts of things. Well, for my HP dejavu, I was facing a wall that had the old hats I mentioned above and a loom and dress maker's mannequin. In that area, there was also and old brown suitcase from the 1930's era that reminded me so much of Newts suitcase. I had to smile.

Duddahs attended a traveling street holiday party last evening and came home after visiting 4 of his neighbors open houses located on his street. It was fun, festive and wonderful to meet the new couple that just purchased their first nest 10 doors down from Duddahs nest. Great company, discussions and decorations.
When Duddahs returned home he and Miss Jenn. decided to have a night cap and watch a Blu Ray DVD of White Christmas that he was given last Christmas as a gift. Duddahs had forgotten that he was also given a special copy of Sorcerers Stone with some added scenes and dialogue on Blu Ray.. it was such a surprise that Duddahs was suddenly transported back to when he first popped in a DVD of SS. Tonight we will live it all over again but this time without Dudespup and also in Blu Ray. Hope the added features are fun too. It appears to have even more than the previous Blu Ray with extra's. This has interviews from the Actors which were taken just a few years ago!

OK.... Saw a very very Harry Potter dejavu last night. Hubby and I like to watch Gold Rush every Friday night. He got me hooked on it a couple of years ago. Well, this year there was another show that caught my eye that came on right afterward. I love any archaeological. This I forgot what the whole show's name is, but it's something about "Snake Island". There's a team looking for hidden Inca gold. It's supposed to be about 400 million dollars worth. They've been traveling the deep jungles and rivers etc looking for clues and reading their symbols that they used to tell their own tribes where they've moved the gold too in a way that the Spanish could not read/understand to know where to go next. Well, this guy has been doing research for so many years, he's made a journal, writing down the meanings to all of their little symbols. He said he has most all of the ones that exist. Well, here's where the dejavu comes in. Last night's episode has him finding this hidden stone. It looks like a large black egg. It has a symbol on it that looks like this: The only thing is, there's no line in the middle. My mouth dropped when they showed it on tv. Now, the guy who has his little book said that's NOT an Inca symbol. He's positive. When he looked, he found out that it's really a symbol for alchemy. Now what's the odds that JKR saw that coming. This rock's been hidden for about 500 years. I thought she actually made this symbol up? I guess she did her homework much more in depth than we already knew she did.

My Harry Potter dejavu, I went to church the other day. I asked one of the sister missionaries what is the name of the new sister she's been given as her companion. She said it's Sister Crookshanks.

This must have truly taken you by surprise Miss Charlotte. Crookshanks surely has the mannerisms of many a Nun Duddahs has encountered. I have not had the chance to meet my Sister Crookshanks. She seemed sweet from what I could tell. She's the age of someone who's finished High School and has yet to begin college. When I saw her she was playing the piano during a service.

I was just on Youtube searching for a band called Room Sounds. Instead I got this screensaver/white noise kind of thing with Gryffindor Common Room-it had the squishy chairs, the fireplace, etc. They also had a whole bunch of other ones like Slytherin Common room, Hagrids hut, Christmas at Hogwarts, Dumbledore's Office. It's really pretty cool, check if out if you get a chance.
PS Came back to add-it's called Harry Potter Ambience if you wanted to search for it.

(click image to zoom in.) Here it is.... My Harry Potter dejavu. A couple of weeks ago, I was sitting at Taco Bueno in Conway Arkansas, having lunch. The line at the drive through window was so long it wrapped clear around the building. I turned my head and saw this blue little car with the Weasley license plates. I just wanted to run out there and knock on their window to say Hey! And welcome them to stop by the lounge here anytime.... I'm sure they'd think I was some nut. LOL! So, I just kept put.

Miss Charlotte, that must have been so kool to witness. The Fiat 500 as well as the Mini Cooper have always reminded Duddahs of the Ford Anglia. Duddahs tried to get his dad to nickname his 1961 Morris's Minor Travelor 1000 after something pertaining to the Weasley family. Alas, he nicknamed it after his first Travellor 1000 which was named Snowy by its original owner from Oxford England. So became his toy Snowy II' which still reminds Duddahs of Hedwig the Snowy Owl.

I was going through some old notebooks trying to find my Amazon password and came across some HP questions I had jotted down for something or other. I had written whey didn't LV die? and why didn't DD kill LV? Wonder what I was referring to? ?? Ooo! Was it just the questions or was it your thoughts on the matter? I'd love to hear them if you can remember. ========================= My Harry Potter dejavu.... Yesterday, my hubby and I were sitting here watching the BYU channel. It's General Conference weekend. We have them every six months. Before the channel was created, all the members of our church would have to dress in our sunday best and go to church to watch the broadcast via satellite sent to all of our meeting houses. Anyway, now that we have this on TV (if we get the channel) we get to sit at home being comfy and eating popcorn if we like. Turned out, after the first session was over, hubby had to tend to some things in the yard. I'm giving my feet a much needed break so I just stayed in the living room with AJ. Some other show came on that channel afterward. I was online and sneaking in a nap. Then I noticed some show produced by the college students were doing parodies of different movies. It was so funny seeing them mix Star Wars and Harry Potter characters into their little skits. One skit just has Voldemort sitting at a diner with some girl he just met when he walked in. He tells her that he has this stick AND he has a wand. She goes... OH! You know magic? I love magicians... do some tricks for me. He looks a little hesitant at first. Then a waitress walks up and he says OK. Then he avada kadevera'd the waitress. She falls down dead on her face on their table. The girl gets real excited and says COOL! Do it again! He looks hesitant again, telling her that he only knows the one spell. I just died laughing. It's so good to see people are still doing things like this with Harry Potter, even after those movies/books have been finished for so many years now.

I am reminded of HP every day on my way to work. The radio morning show I listen to has a deejay who is an HP fan. She plays a game every day, and has to go into a soundproof booth while the other deejay asks a caller questions...so that the HP fan deejay can't hear the questions or answers. Then she comes back and answers them after, to see if they can beat her.. Anyway...they call this booth the Deathly Hallows. One of the other deejays started calling it that...and a lot of people explained that the Deathly Hallows is not a place, but once they started using it, the name stuck...so every day I hear "And there goes Kennedy into the Deathly Hallows." LOL
