My Harry Potter Dejavu..
Right now, I'm watching the original Star Wars. For years, I've been trying to remember why Wizards Chess seems so familiar to me. There is a scene on the Millennium Falcon where C3PO is playing some sort of holographic game with Chewbaca. It shows some sort of a round tabletop that looks similar to a chessboard. The pieces upon it had one person's piece pick up the other person's piece and throw it down. There is was. After all of these years.

My Harry Potter Deja vu.... Oh this is a good one. I just now looked up from my laptop only to see on the BYUTV channel we are watching a movie called, The Cat From Outer Space. It's a Disney film from back in the 70's. Well, there was just a scene where the guy was riding a motorbike and flew up over a chain link fence. Yep.. the Hagrid bringing Harry Potter to the Dursleys popped into my head.

My Harry Potter Dejavu.... I seem to be collecting them this week. I've seen the movie trailer ad for the new Lone Ranger movie. I have to laugh looking at Johnny Depp trying to pull off a Snape Boggart with Neville's Gran's hat on like that. .... Last night I was watching a movie and it goes to show... any time from Deathly Hallows book release onward, no matter when or how, if I ever hear someone say, "for the greater good" I will always think of Dumbledore and Grindelwauld. ..... When I was watching the movie "Calendar Girls" a week or so ago... The guy who plays Aberforth Dumbledore played Helen Mirren's character's hubby. His character's name was HARRY!

My Harry Potter Dejavu....
Just now, I was switching channels on my Sirius Music stations and the song Black Magic Woman, by Santana came on. Suddenly, I had a flash of Bellatrix Black pop into my head.

My Harry Potter Dejavu... Today, I had in the first part of the two Deathly Hallows movies... Well, I was commenting to my family how years and years ago, back when I used to roleplay. Chamber of Secrets movie had just came out in theaters.... Well, I had a bag just like Hermione's where it was a small bag, but it held more things than any other bag in the world... I got the idea from Mary Poppins. Well, then later on in the movie today, I was sitting there watching them in the pup tent. I said to myself that "It's bigger on the inside" and wondered why that sounded SO familiar to me. Then it hit me... I LOVE Doctor Who. And his space ship time machine is called the TARDIS. It's this little blue police box the size of an old fashioned phone booth, but when you step inside there are miles and miles of corridors and rooms to explore. Anyway, each time anyone ever steps inside of his TARDIS, they all say the same thing... that it's bigger on the inside. Now I wonder what inspired JKR's idea for her tent?

OH I am just so horrible. I can't believe the Harry Potter dejavu that I just had. I'm sitting here watching the GOF on ABC Family and actually WATCHING it. I keep pausing it to fold a load of laundry then unpause it so I may Watch it more closely than I have in years. I'm where Moaning Myrtle is in the bath with Harry, and I think to myself how I know I just saw her a few days ago... but I can't remember where. Then it hit me. An old friend of mine from decades ago, comes to visit me about once a month. She came a couple of days ago too. I never realized that if they had the same hair style, they could be dopplegangers. NO kidding.

My Harry Potter Deja vu.... Today, while out, we were sitting at a red light. There was a McDonald's right there on the corner. I noticed something odd about the sign. The capital letter D had popped out. So we were sitting there trying to pronounce the name of the place without using the D. Someone said, McGonagall's burger restaurant. LOL. ok that was dumb. But still, it brought a smile to my face.

Duddahs has been shopping for a several new vehicles to replace his Pick-Up and his VW Passat wagon...
Been looking at a number of vehicles but has come down to the BMW X5 and a 328XI or the new Passat Wagon and a Toureg.
Anywho, while Duddahs was test driving and pulled into a rest area off the turnpike to listen to the Sales rep's sch-peal, Duddahs received a notice on his tablet.. It was a post to his facebook by a co coach he likes and works with who had just posted an image of a license plate she had just passed on the same road Duddahs was on at that moment.
The plate read "HORCRUX"
Duddahs almost burst out laughing but barely kept it together for the sale's reps sake.

Most mornings I do the Portland Press Herald crossword and it's surprising how many times I can find answers that remind me of Potter. Today there were two: Prestidigitator and the answer was magician(I'd heard that word but didn't know what it meant) and shacks-answer was huts. We'll see what the crossword brings tomorrow.

Recently, one of our favorite Barbecue restaraunts closed down. We were so upset. Grandpa's Barbecue was the one where I posted had the best Pig Pies. Well, then we were driving pick our daughter up from school. We found they were moving within walking distance to us. They reopened a couple of days ago. We went there to buy dinner there tonight. Not an open parking spot in the whole lot. Funny because this is a bigger place than their last location. Well.... My Harry Potter Dejavu.... Right next door I saw a store that I never noticed before. My eyes just about bugged out. You guys... I'll let you know, I'm probably going to die of sugar shock right now. It's called "The Candy Jar" I could hardly stand still while placing our order at Grandpa's for wanting to hurry next door to check out what the Candy Jar has for us. All I could think of is this building is huge... this will have a LOT of candy in there... I can see this Honeydukes being within walking distance and not be a good thing for me..... ohhhh dear. Well.... turned out.. They have the sign up with the hours and everything on the door... but nothing in it yet. They have yet to set up or open anything... YET. Oh what a tease.

I would be so excited to see what they will have too. When I was a little girl, they had a store that had, among other things, all kinds of penny candy-this was on Main Street in my town. I remember I loved these little colored candy ice cream cones. They had a real little cone and instead of ice cream it was marshmallow in different colors. The funny thing is I'm not crazy about marshmallow but I just loved all those different colors. They also had the little tiny wax soda bottles where you bit off the top and there was flavored syrup inside.

My Harry Potter deja vu.... well in reverse this time. I was sitting here this morning, googling searching for a particular image of Minister Fudge. I kept wondering why in the world they keep putting these plates of yummy looking fudge pastries up here? My tummy's roaring. Do I have my head screwed on backwards or what?

They have a TV set up playing the first Willy Wonka film non stop. Last night, as I suspected would happen, there's my daughter telling me that she'll probably be home late each day because she and her friends will have to go in there on their way home from school each day to try out all of the cool stuff. You know... I ought to talk to the owner to give them a heads up to all of the Harry Potter stuff. I was still very very out of it on heavy medications when I went in there to the point that I could not really carry on any real conversation with anyone at that time. But I don't recall much other than regular Bertie Botts. I didn't so much as see any chocolate frogs. If this is going to be a specialty candy shop... they have a good start... but there is room for improvement. Which IS a good thing. OH and daughter was sharing with us a bag of mini jawbreakers she bought just yesterday. Not sure if the one time I was in there if they had any of those marshmallow candies you are talking about but it does seem like they had a whole section of stuff with that theme. A ton of stuff I never saw before too. I can't wait to go in there again.

I went to the Fryeburg Fair this week and in one of the barns they had a lot of birds-I saw the word phoenix and got very excited. It turned out to be a kind of hen-the phoenix hen. It had some pretty gold feathers, I don't know if maybe that's where they got the name from.

My Harry Potter Deja vu.... This afternoon, my hubby was using his computer to listen to this man preach. He paused the talk and asked me what the word hypocrite means. I did a double take because I happened to be on Pottermore site and thought he was asking Hippogryff.

My Harry Potter Dejavu... Yesterday morning, when I dropped my daughter off to school, there was this girl getting out of the car in front of us in the car rider line. It took her forever to get out because she had... no kidding THREE HUGE bookbags. I think I just saw the Hermione of my daughter's school.

I think this fits here... I was cutting up onions earlier and ever since I switched from contacts back to glasses, my eyes tear up REALLY bad when I'm cutting onions, to the point where it almost becomes unbearable to keep my eyes open...I couldn't help but wonder why the onions affect me like this now, when I was reminded of poor Harry wondering why the dementors affected him more than anyone else.
"The dementors affect you because you've witnessed true horrors in your past...horrors your classmates can scarcely imagine. You...are not weak." <3
