Funny.... See the one that seems familiar to me is using the exact wording as the name of this film. It was the first line in fact. What's killing me is that I can't remember the rest of it. I used to go around spouting it off when I was a kid. Yep.... I was once one of those annoying little sing song kinda girls who used to skip as I went down the street. As and adult I almost always have a song in my head, but as a kid if it were not a song it was a rhyme.

I came across a version of Alice In Wonderland the other day-George Wendt from Cheers and Robbie Coltrane played Tweedledum and Tweedledee. I was embarrased-I didn't evern recognize Hagrid at first, just knew he looked familiar.

That is so cool. I really can invision the two of them in those roles. Thanks for telling us about it. Hagrid to me really does look so different to me when I see him in other things. I am so used to him being so hairy. I have not really watched too many different versions of Alice in Wonderland.... I still have yet to see the one with Johnny Depp. I'm not really sure if I will. He's so weird. This was not the one you are talking about... Directed by Tim Burton? If so, then I might have to.

No it wasn't the Johnny Depp one but that's what I thought it would be too when I started watching. It had Whoopie Goldberg as the Cheshire Cat, Miranda Richardson as the Queen, Christopher Lloyd as the white knight, Martin Short as the Mad Hatter, Gene Wilder as the Mock Turtle. I didn't remember this one being made, guess it's an older version.

Wow! A lot of that cast seems so familiar to me. Recently, I had to order online an older film that has Miranda Richardson and Martin Short in it. I'm getting ready to stick that particular film in to watch in a few minutes. I didn't realize they also played in another older film together. And I never heard of the particular Alice in WOnderland film. It makes me want to see if I can find it too to watch it. Hagrid and all. ... Hmm? But Whoopie playing the Cheshire Cat does in fact sound familiar to me for some reason. Maybe because back then she was the only one who I knew played in films I watched up to that date.
OH and sidebar.... Christopher Lloyd is a cousin of mine. My Grandma Lloyd told my father that we were related back when Christopher Lloyd was starring in the tv hit Taxi. We never met him though.

One of my absolute favorite roles that had Alan Rickman was I believe a made for T.V. movied called Something the Lord Made.
If you ever get the chance to rent it, it is absolutely Brilliant.
Also, Rickman was the voice of the Blue Caterpillar in that Johnny Dep version of Alice in Wonderland.
He has done a number of voice jobs for big movies that you might not even remember that he was part of!

JB, I never saw Nanny Mcphee when it came out but saw it not too long ago and really liked it. This has probably already but mentioned but HP alums Gary Oldman and Kenneth Branagh are nominated for Oscars this year for other films. I also read that best supporting actress nominee Janet Mcteer is in that new Woman in Black movie that's coming out starring Daniel Radcliffe.

I was watching the animated movie RANGO while I was in my sick bed last week only to find out that Bill Nighy was the voice of the Rattle Snake.....
Nighy has been in a plethora of movies over the past few years and he is really good too!

ooo yeah... I will say ever since Pirates of the caribbean I've been a fan. that is when I first noticed him. ThenI had to go look up his many works. I have to agree, he is a pretty good actor. sometimes that is enough for me to watch a new film without really knowing what the film is about... just because an actor or actress I like is in it. he's not let me down yet... and so diverse too.
Rango? I didn't realize he was in that.

I"ve never seen the updated version, but I have the original classic. If I remember correctly, it was all in black and white. Very suspenseful. ..... Had to come in here to post this. If you like good scary movies which are not gory, but a suspenseful, mysterous and thrilling.... Try " The Skeleton Key" with Kate Hudson and Gena Rowlands..... and our very own John Hurt.

I just saw on a T.V. show the mention of a classic movie.
The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie Poster Starring Dame Maggie Smith way back in 1969.
I was taken by surprise to realize that I have never seen this movie and now I have to find it on Netflix and watch it.
I love Dame Maggie Smith and she is Brilliant on Downton Abbey too!

We had the new (2010) Clash of the Titans on earlier today, and I kept looking at one of the characters, because I knew him from somewhere... I stepped out to do some housework, and my husband said, hey...that sounds like Voldemort! Sure enough...Ralph Fiennes plays Hades in the film. Having a nose threw me off!!! LOL
