Duddahs is looking forward to seeing Gary Oldman (sirius black) in his new portrayal as Sir Winston Churchill. From what has been reported, his role may well earn him an academy award even if the movie itself does not.

I can't believe how different he looks-I actually had to google who plays Sirius Black thinking I had the actors mixed up!

Duddahs also spied Michael Gambone in Victoria and Abdul. Loved the movie and always a joy to see Dame Judy Dench in anything!

Have not seen these movies but want to see them all! I loved Gary Oldman's speech at the Academy Awards. He looks so much older than Sirius to me in person.

Duddahs and Miss Jenn along with Monty watched the first half of the recently made Murder on The Orient Express. Another unusual role for our Gilderoy Lockhart as Hercules and now that Johnny Depp has joined the firm, he too is part of the cast. So far it is a very good movie. Hopefully we will find the second half just as compelling Saturday night.

Just watched the first part of the new Masterpiece Theater version of Little Women, a favorite of mine as a child. Mr Lawrence played by Michael Gambon, and very well too!

Duddahs thoroughly agrees that Gambone was excellent in this new role. Duddahs particularly enjoyed the piano scene.

I intend to watch it because of all of the wonderful cast members in it. It slipped my mind entirely that it was released a while ago. I'm putting my foot down this summer insisting that it will be a calm one. I was on Netflix just this evening and just thinking about looking up to add Agatha Christie back on my to watch listing. Still, this particular story is one of my favorites. Such a unique way to have the story end especially for Poirot. Wait...... Here I am, getting ahead of myself and finally finished reading your post. YOU DID finish watching the second half. Ugh. Yep. I slapped my own forehead. *tiptoes off to the Head table for an announcement* I see I have a lot of work to do here soon.

So glad that you watched LW too Duddahs. I had not realized how distinctive MG's voice was until now. I also loved Angela Lansbury as Aunt March.

Duddahs and Miss Jenn just watched Ladies in Lavender starring Maggie Smith, Judy Dench, Miriam Margoyles and Toby Jones plus many other greats. It is a brilliant must see film!

My husband likes a movie called "Now you see me". He's been watching it on TV a bit recently. Pretty good movie, with Woody Harrelson. I haven't had a chance to watch it in full. Well, I've probably seen the whole move, but in bits and pieces. They just released "Now you see me 2" for TV, and my husband watched it last night. Daniel Radcliffe is in it...again, I have only seen bits and pieces...but it seems like he's a pretty tough guy. I'll have to take some time to watch it from beginning to end one of these days! It's hard to follow if you miss any of it.
Anyone else get a chance to see it? Erin

Did you see him in Wonder Woman? It was hard to picture him as a fairly evil, all-powerful deity...but he did a good job!

I want to see Ladies in Lavender too. I can't recall what it's about, but I remember the name and the cast and that I had seen the trailer for it and that I said I wanted to see it. LOL.
Erin, we have seen both of the Now You See Me movies. I loved them both. I will say, it was strange seeing Dan playing this part. He did the part well acting-wise. It just was not a part I imagined he'd play. It's definately a movie to see. I've seen it several times when I have found it on TV.
Wonder Woman, you know I loved that film. I grew up loving super heroes. She, being probably the most famous female Super hero from our childhood and a cool one at that. It was weird seeing Thewlis in that one as well. I think he normally plays bad guy parts. Aside from Lupin I can't name many roles where he's the good guy. Still, it was weird

Ezra Miller.... Oh goodness. I always get the DC movies names mixed up. Still, it really shows the acting range of this guy. Ezra plays the Flash. Oh I love him! He cracks me up. He plays in part of the Justice League along with Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, Aquaman and another guy that I am not sure who he is. That guy is a cyborg only kept alive this way. Anyway, Ezra Miller is the fun part of the movie. This is the one where Batman and the group are trying to bring Superman back to life. Anyway, it's definitely any fan of superheroes a must see. … OK. Now for else. My son LOVES monster movies. Well, he loves the Hulk and Dinosaurs mainly because they roar. He loves the roaring. So, we definitely went to see the newest Jurassic World movie. Before it came out, and I had noticed that Toby Jones was playing in it, I made a mean statement. I said, I wonder if the dinosaurs are going to have a little Dobby snack tonight at the movie? then I laughed a little. I knew it was not something nice to say. But it was my way of letting my daughter know that Toby Jones was going to be in this movie. Unless you have not seen this Jurassic World movie yet, I'll let you find out if that statement came true on your own. Such a mean thing for me to say. I should iron my fingers or something. Bad bad me.

Duddahs was watching the first episode of the TV show MERLIN again last night and noticed the Mundungus Fletcher was in this episode. Would you believe he was playing a low life thief shill? Talk about type casting.

Clicking back and forth between Hook on Freeform and HBP on SCYFI-and Maggie Smith is in both!
