I've been thinking about that one. Didn't know he was in it though. Thanks for the heads up. Hmm? Maybe that was where I had recently seen his face. I knew he was in something, I just didn't remember what.

OH my! We are getting ready to cut back on some of our tv stuff for a few months. Hubby said Netflix has to go for a little while. SO... I have been binging on my Poirot episodes/movies all week. The further I go, the more episodes I am finding loads of Harry Potter actor's in it. I watched on a couple of days ago that had four in one film. Madam Pomfrey's been in quite a few too. I think one she was the murderer. So when I saw this particular one, I knew I'd seen it, but thought it was the one where SHE was the killer. LOL. NOT this one. LOL. Oh this is so crazy. I always remember who I THOUGHT was the murder and even though I've seen them ages ago, I still get them wrong. LOL.
....
Last night I set my DVR to record Sense and Sensiblity with Snape, Trelawney and Madam Pomfrey in it. I have it on dvd already, but too lazy to go find where it is. However, there was another one I HAVE to buy. I nearly forgot that I still don't have, Much Ado about Nothing, with Trelawney and Lockhart in it. I got to see some of it while I was cooking dinner. I totally forgot that we get to see a very young and lively Umbridge too. I think there was someone else from Potter in there too. I really need to go look it up.

Ha Ha! Just saw Maleficent...and Imelda Staunton as a fairy....hilarious...and even more so when she reminded me of Umbridge! I called my youngest in to see, and he thought it was the funniest thing!

I know I've been going on an on for ages about how I had seen this Harry Potter actor or actress in the Poirot films. I then got to thinking I had not seen any of the students in one. Then there she was.... Let me see if I get this right. Katie Leung.... You know, Cho Chang. She was just a bit younger than she was in Harry Potter. I was not aware she had been in anything before Potter. Cool. I love surprises sometimes.

I recently read online something that I never thought before. It said that most of the british shows/films have at least THREE Harry Potter actors in it. I thought to myself about this thread. Then I thought I'd see if the very next movie I watch has that many in there. Sure enough, I watched Dragonheart the other morning while I was doing house elf chores. There they be. Of course I remembered Lupin right off, but totally forgot about Lucius Malfoy and Madam Rosemerta as well.

Duddahs and his prettier half recently watched the movie; "The Hours". Low and behold, there on the screen appeared Miranda Richardson who also played Rita Skeeter, one of Duddahs favorite characters from the Movie series Harry Potter and the..... I tried to watch that movie just a few weeks ago. I think it must have been during one of my periods of exhaustion (where I was falling asleep throughout the day often.) I'm caught up now and want to revisit that movie again. I barely remember seeing her in it. Love that actress.
....
I recently watched Dan's new movie where he plays Igor in Victor Frankenstein. I don't remember if I've already posted about it, but I was quite impressed with it. I've seen so many different versions of that story, but really, to be honest, it is NOT that story.. it was from Igor's perspective. They opened up so much more background to the character. I just loved it.
The only thing that bugged me... they kept saying his name wrong. Frankenstein the S is pronounced like "sh". Hey, I ought to know. I've been to his castle countless times when I was a kid living in Germany.

I've watched a couple of movies recently with other HP actors in them.... I watched Heart of the Sea with Chris Hemsworth... YOu know that movie that tells the true story that inspired Melville to write Moby Dick. Well, I will not be watching it again. It's really a good movie, it's just a lot of the content was hurting my stomach. If any of you ever watched it, you know what I'm talking about. However, the acting was good and I just LOVE our Madeye Moody's beard in it. AND!!!! I was completely blown away when we recently bought the newest Star Wars movie. There was Bill Weasley playing a BAD GUY! He did a great job too. I guess the talent for acting didn't skip a generation in that family.

YOu know..... that new saying I mentioned above where if there's any good movies that have british actors in it, there will be at least TWO Harry Potter actors in it. Well, this afternoon I rewatched Theory of Everything for the second time. It was back ages ago when it first came out for rent that when I last saw it until today. Then there they were. I totally forgot that Lupin played one of his college professors.... and of course our new Newt played Hawking.
Wow.

Duddahs went to the Redbox in Newport yesterday and got a movie called "Eye in the Sky". It stars Helen Miron and Alan Rickman.
It was the final movie by Alan Rickman, our own Severus Snape. True to his talents, he was simply brilliant. The movie was good, not the very best I have ever seen him in but he and Helen Miron were excellent and make this military drama a must see for any Alan Rickman fan.
RIP.

I wondered what his last film was. Since I saw this post the other day, we picked up a copy for rent. Heart wrenching to say the least.
I love Helen Mirren in just about everything I've seen her in. It's even more fitting that she was in this with Alan. I had seen images earlier this year where they both played in plays together and was a hit. I think it was Anthony and Cleopatra. I would have loved to have been sitting in their audience back then..... Hmmm? I wonder if someone recorded it for people to watch. I mean, I loved Richard Harris in Camelot on stage, almost as much as I did when he played Dumbledore. Thank goodness for HBO sharing that with us back in the day.
I agree about this movie as you do. He did a good job, but to me, the part wasn't much for him. Then again, after the fact, we know he was not in good health during the filming. He sure hid it well. It makes me wonder.... who was the doll for? Was it a daughter or granddaughter or niece? No matter, she had to have been a loved one. OH and did they ever say if this was based on a true event? I never saw. But it did seem very realistic.

Whoa! You know the guy who plays Stan Shunpike? Well, he had his own TV show for a while. I found it on Netflix and watched a marathon. A detective show called George Gently, placed in the 1960's. It sure was something different to watch. To me, not only did the show solve crimes, but it tackled the old prejudice views of that time. Stan as I still call him, had a lot to learn and played his part well. Funny thing. In the very last episode, when putting someone into his police car, he told them to "Mind your head" I could not help but laugh.

I've seen a few HP actors in some films recently. David Thewlis (Remus Lupin) had a prominent role in the new Wonder Woman film and Jasoc Isaacs was in a film called The Infiltrators, and voiced a really convincing American accent.
Both really great films btw!

Watching the Emmys and just found out David Thewliss is in the Fargo show on tv. Speaking of Jason Isaacs I just saw scenes of him on the E network from something he is in, maybe the movie you saw Miss Charlotte. He looked so much younger than Lucius in the movies to me and I don't think I would have recognized him without being told.

Yeah, I can't wait. Later today we are going to have to make a trip to the store to buy Wonder Woman. Today's it's finally released to the public for sale. I was glad to see David in it. He plays his part in it well. It was one of my favorite films of the year. Yeah... we saw it at the theaters. I've always liked best, the origin storylines when it comes to the super heroes. OH! As for Jason Issacs, I can't wait for later this month. There's a NEW Star Trek TV show that is coming on TV. It's not going to be a long series from what I hear. It's supposed to be taking place early before Kirk and Spock's time period. Anyway, Jason Issacs is supposed to star in it. I think he'll be perfect. I'm not sure how many of you know this about me, but I've always been a huge Star Trek fan. I've been to so many conventions that I can't begin to count. I'm a Next Generation fan mostly, but really, I love them all.

Watched Emma Watson in Beauty and the Beast. She did a wonderful job. I'm still a fan of the old story book version. When Gaston showed up then I knew it was going to go by the Disney cartoon version. Duh, after all it IS a Disney movie too. Later on during the movie I had another 'duh' moment, I remembered I heard Disney was in the process of creating live versions of all (or many) of their cartoon films. I wonder what one is next? Hmm? I don't think Malefecent was a Disney film, much less a version of their Sleeping Beauty. I loved that film in a way. It was a different version of seeing things that's for certain. LOL.
