Going off of Duddahs' post...wouldn't it be great to be able to apperate? I'm thinking that when we go to the beach for the day, we need to pack everything up, drive there, pay for parking (if we're going to the ocean), and usually use kind of gross bathroom accommodations. Wouldn't it be great to just spperate there, and zip home when you need a snack, or to use the bathroom..and not have to pack everything? Ah..to apperate, and have a house elf (who I would treat very nicely)!

I agree Erin, I have wished many times that I could apparate. I don't think I'd like the side effects but still there are times when it would come in soooo handy.  My thought for the day-I was thinking that in the story of the three brothers, the only hallow that really worked out well for the brother who got it was the cloak-and this was the one that Harry had. Don't know if it's signicant but I just think that's kind of cool. |

Duddahs thought for today; Are skunks and Blast ended skrewts related? Oh goodness. What a combination?  My Harry Potter Thought for the day......... Scabbers. Was there ever an original Scabbers? We know that Wormtail was able to turn himself into a rat before he joined the Weasley family, but did he kill the original Scabbers and take his place to do so or was he always the one and only Scabbers?  |

My Harry Potter thought for today;
Ron was smart enough to keep Scabbers in a carrying case, Harry kept Hedwig in a cage. Why then oh why did the Longbottoms allow Trevor to go to Hogwarts not in a cage or carrying case? They were an ancient wizarding family and knew that Neville was not truly the sharpest wand in the box.

Oh I love this of the day because this is something I never, ever thought about before! Maybe Neville's Gran was just too busy with other things to bother herself about a toad-but this is one of those little things that you never think of for years but then when you do, it makes your life so much easier. This kind of thing happens to me all the time-life with Trevor in a carrying crate would be easier for everyone, not just Neville. |

Duddahs Harry Potter thought for today;
It was Duddahs Great Nephews birthday (age 7) as well as his nephews grandfather, Duddahs brother in laws 60th birthday today.
Duddahs Grand nephew Zavier received a Harry Potter array of gifts from the ole bird and Zavier went absolutely nuts over his own hand made wand from Alivans along with some sweets delivered by owl from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Did any of us believe that children born almost decades after the release of the Philosophers Stone first edition would actually be more excited to receive Harry Potter gifts over gifts received concerning the Marvel Comic recent movie characters?
Duddahs is very proud that Zavier's favorite gift of many was his Alivanders wand!

My thought for the day. I wonder if each Hogwarts house has their own special elves for doing the cleaning or do all the elves take turns at each different house? For me I think it would be really interesting to work at all of them-comparing and maybe getting gossip from each one and trading it with all the other elves.

Duddahs, I've wondered that about the fairies too. And afterwards do they just go back to their own fairy houses or wherever they live? I always figured Flitwick must have some kind of pull somewhere to be able to do that.

My thought today-something I noticed while watching the first movie today- a Christmas tradition for me.When they are at the zoo and the glass breaks, if you watch Harry's face you can almost see him making the spell that did it-even though he didn't realize what he was doing , you can see the concentration on his face. Just thought that was kind of cool.

I was thinking about all the great things that happened to Harry-finding out he was a wizard, learning to play Quidditch, competing in the Triwizard Tournament, going to Hogsmeade, riding all kinds of magical creatures to name a few. But I wonder if the best thing of all for him was meeting the Weasley family at Platform nine and three quarters. I wonder what Harry would say to that too and all of this is my thought for the day.

What became of Vernon and Petunia Dursley after the final battle.of Hogwarts? We know that Harry reunited with Dudley years later but what became of his Aunt and Uncle? Also, did Dudley go on to reside at Number Four Privet Drive?

I always felt that after the death of Voldemort there would still be a few deatheaters around who went into hiding. And I wonder if they would go after Narcissa and the Malfoys since they must have realized she lied to LV when asked to check if Harry was truly dead.
