Yeah, she helped me put the groceries up on the counter at the store a little while ago, then once we got home, she helped me to bring everything in. Not to mention, she steam mopped her bathroom floor. She's doing pretty good so far. Knock on wood. Hey guys.. I did something really stupid. I went out in this heat... I thought, 'so the sun is out we all know there is bound to be heat.' Then while driving down the road, we noticed the bank said it was 112 degrees out there. Normally, with the heat index it's at least 4 degrees more than the actual temp. (heat index means what it FEELS because of the humidity etc added in there.) I've never been in heat like this before! Then I take my whole family with me during rush our afternoon traffic to the next town. So stupid. At least we are home and in where it's cool. Welll.... I"m off to take daughter to the skating rink.

Right now there is a special on TV featuring the science of Dr. Who. I'll have to admit that back in the early 80's I watched this show and so I do have somewhat an idea as to what this show is about. BUT as for this day and age, Dr. Who is new to me. I've watched a marathon a year or so ago that they had on of the new ones for a day. This one had our Barty Crouch Jr. playing the lead role. Anyway... I have so much to catch up on when it comes to this show. Still, the reason I'm here posting on this thread.... I found a dejavu moment. Yep... I can't watch anything it seems without still seeing Harry Potter's world. THis time, I'm really surprised that it never occured to me when watching or reading book four. The Doctor's Tardis is exactly like the tent JKR gave the Weasley's to stay in for the World Cup. It looks small on the outside then once you step in, there are many many rooms and hallways. This being a very British show, I can't help but wonder if this influenced JKR when she was writing? Still, I say I like both versions... the Tardis and the tent. I love people's imagination.

I saw what I think was an otter last week-in the same place I saw one last year. Of course I always think of Hermione. And I still kind of wonder why JKR picked that patronus for her-you always here of otters described as playful and somehow that's not a word I really think of with Hermione.

LOL I read somewhere that Ron's patronus, a jack russel terrier, likes to chase otters! I wonder if that's true, and if that's why JKR gave them those! An otter doesn't really seem to fit Hermione, but there are other things that affect patronus'...think of Snape's doe, and how Tonk's changed when she was depressed. Perhaps Ron and Hermione's patronuses knew what Ron and Hermione themselves did not! LOL

I hadn't heard that about the terrier, that's a riot! Somehow the Jack Russell seems perfect for Ron to me.

I never thought of that before..... but I agree, an otter does not really fit her.. BUT I LOVE otters. I know what you mean, they are playful. We have them here. And maybe you are right about the two of them together. Maybe it takes a Ron to bring out the playfulness in her when others are not around. LOL.

My Harry Potter deja vu... It's a beautiful morning today. We have had our windows open all night, just as we have for about a week. So, here I am sitting here thinking about Harry Potter and friends. Suddenly, I heard dogs barking in the distance and a toot of a horn. I KNOW that sounds familiar to me! Then it hit me... remember back when we all used to hang out over at JKR's site, looking for Easter Eggs. Solving the clues and taking the tests? I loved that background music, the dogs barking and that toot of a car horn in the distance. OH what a day this will be, waking up to warm memories.

I loved that too and it always sound so mysterious to me for some reason. And didn't there used to be an owl hooting once in a while? And then you'd hear a funny noise and it would say "Peeves was herë", I loved that too.

Yeah, I think that was him knocking over the pencil jar. BOy those were the days? My Harry Potter Deja vu.... Today I was sitting here finishing up the Once Upon a Time marathon I was doing. There was one episode where I mentioned that this looks more than just familiar... I was normally trying to place which storybook characters were doing what... anyway, My daughter called it. The girl was going after the dragon. The dragon was flying all around, spitting fire at her, all the while she was trying to get a golden egg that opened up. DUH! Why didn't I spot that one a mile away. She said hey that is just like in harry potter. cries... but laughs because she was so right. LOL!

My Harry Potter Dejavu.... My son was fully awake most of the night. So, I turned on his TV to a dog show that was on this morning. They were counting down ... I don't know.... 101 dog breeds... something like that. Well, one of the times I went in there to tend to my son, I happened to look up and see the dog that was Sirius Black. I always thought he was some sort of a mutt. I never thought he was full blood. ;D Turns out the was an Irish Wolfhound. Funny, they said that he leads the guard group march.... This dog also has a short lifespan. Now, I can't help but think they chose this dog on purpose. Too many Sirius Black traits. Cool.

Wow I bet you're right Miss Charlotte! I have always loved Irish Wolfhounds too. Today we went shopping and went by the gift shop Abercrombie and Fitch. I did a double take because for a moment a thought it said Filch. THen I had to laugh because can you imagine Filch running a gift shop? I would love to see what kinds of items he would sell.

I've been doing a lot of housecleaning and trying to declutter my house-it can be fun because you find all sorts of things. I found an old grade school report card of my mother's, she did quite well too, mostly all A's. But the lowest grade you could get was an M which reminded me of Harry Potter and the T for troll. Still can't figure out what the M stood for though?

Hmm? M.... Maybe for "Magnificent!" My Harry Potter Dejavu... It's this thread period. I'm still into Harry Potter, but this year I've also shared that love with new discoveries or better put rediscoveries. I've gotten so accustomed to keeping my eyes open and finding links to things I love for HP that I'm doing that with other things I love. (I'd see a soldier and think of Captain America. Now when I see a long haired girl with a red cap on I think of Red Riding Hood. Or when I see it snowing on TV, I think of Snow White. Oh and most definately, red apples are reminding me of the queen of that story.) Now funny thing... my hubby has a text ringtone of the Harry Potter theme. Whenever it goes off I get this blank stare and think of Dumbledore walking up Privet Drive to the Dursleys house in the opening scene of the first movie. I LOVE that scene. Now I'm having this happen all through the day because I mysteriously hear the music. LOL

My Harry Potter Dejavu....
This morning, while watching all of the Black Friday deals being featured on a tv show, one item was a cross between a video and a photograph. I laughed because it reminded me so much of the Harry Potter portraits on the DVD's.

There is a sign on one of the buildings I walk buy most days advertising a "Kettle Bell Dance Studio" or something like that. I do a double take every time thinking it says Katie Bell!

We went out to eat dinner tonight at Grandpa's BBQ. So funny. they have the whole place decorated with pigs and hogs of all sorts. They also have signs hanging on the wall for fun.
One says: I choose to please only one person per day. Today I choose that person to be me.
Another one says: Absolutely NO complaining, whining or caterwauling allowed!
Of course all of the pig/hogs as well as the word caterwauling, I could not keep from thinking about Harry Potter.

I don't know if I dreamed it but I thought I saw something somewhere about a new tropical storm Draco. Can it be true? ;D ;D ;D ;D Oh that is simply a brilliant name for one. .................................................. OK... My Harry Potter Dejavu.... I meant to come post this a couple of weeks ago. I recently discovered this new tv channel that has been hiding. It once was a christian channel and now it's one that shows more tv oldies than the TV Land channel. Well, a couple of weeks ago, I tuned in to watch an old movie. Remember the old late night hostess named Elvira? Well, apparantly there is another guy who calls himself Svengooli. Yep... horrible makeup complete with top hat and standing up coffin. This guy hosts old movies that are so bad you can't help but keep watching. Well, there was this old movie called "Ssssssss" No kidding. that IS the name of it. Well, it had the guy who played Face from the A-Team back when he was very young. There was this crazy old guy who was a snake doctor. He was doing experiments and ended up turning a couple of his helpers into hybreds of snake men. LOL. Yep... Face ended up having a face very much like a green version of Voldemort! ;D I laughed so hard. Then when the whole movie was over my hubby and I could not help but look at each other and ask why we watched that show? Well, I've been a fan of Mystery Science Theater 3000 from the Syfy channel. So I like watching old crummy movies that make my mouth drop. It was just strange to see hubby sitting there watching this sort of thing with me. Yep.... I could not help but think of Voldemort!
