My family and I went out of town over this weekend. We all packed up the van and drove down to Gulfport Mississippi to spend some time at the gulf beach. It was nice. 70 degrees. I'm probably going to come back in here and add to this post throughout the day as things I remember I saw... Two right off the bat were not so much Harry Potter Deja-vu's but Lovegood Lounge Deja-vu's...... First one was so cool. I saw a street with the same name as Fangsfan's given name. It brought a smile to my face thinking about her. I miss her posts. Then about an hour later I saw a Charlotte Street. OK... that started me looking for more Deja-vu's.

My Harry Potter Deja-vu.....
Yesterday morning, I was getting my son ready to start the day. I had on Dr. Who but knew that I was recording it, so I was paying more attention to what I was doing than what was going on in the show. Well, anyone who has any knowledge of this show would know that every so often they like to have the Doctor do what is called "regenerate." I have yet to come across any particular episode in these newer seasons where they do what I call, "pass the baton,".... where the actor who plays the Doctor is changed for a new actor who will play that particular role for a while. Well....
Yesterday when I was looking up I was shocked to see the guy who plays Merlin in one of our other favorite tv shows. He was guest starring on this episode. Funny, the HP connection is that our Barty Crouch jr was the actor playing as Doctor Who in this particular episode. Wow... a triple whammy. LOL

I'm not sure if this is the place to put this but I'm rereading the Wicked series, in the first one there's a quote I just love where someone says he will answer the Witch's question because "You try very hard at life." I just loved that idea and thought how well it fits Harry and also Dumbledore. Both of them had some hard times in their lives and made mistakes sometimes but always tried to do the right thing. I guess this could also go in the old Öbsessed With Harry Potter thread! You know yoú''re obsessed with Harry Potter when every book you read, you end up thinking how it fits with the HP characters!

A true Harry Potter DejaVu
As most of you know, my little C.J. passed through the veil last week.
One of my past students who is an adult young man now, and owns C.J.'s brother, Bernie gave me a beautiful little statue of an Owl with a little solar light on it to put as a marker for the pup in the puppies garden....
It looks exactly like Duddahs the Great Barn Owls traditional signature image....

OK.... This happens to me quite often. Remember at the beginning of book two when Harry is out doing yard work at the Dursley's? He is already looking at the bushes when suddenly eyeballs appear and scare the bageebeez outta him? Well, my solid black cat Loki does this to me all of the time. I happen to be looking in a direction when she suddenly opens her round eyeballs and there she is..... scaring the daylights out of me because she's been right there the whole time and I didn't even know it.

I not only have HP deja vus but also deja vus of people and conversations from here and the HP boards, I think Miss Charlotte has mentioned this as well. The other day at work I heard some people talking about the new Wizard of Oz movie that is out now, then asking if L Frank Baum had written other books besides The Wizard of Oz. I rembered a conversation with Duddahs and how he knows so much about all the different Oz books-so a Duddahs Deja Vu!

Well.... every time I go out shopping, I see owls everywhere. I saw two tonight. One on a t-shirt and the other on a purse. Of course I think of Duddahs and our owl thread here... AND how YOU and I both keep seeing them everywhere. LOL.
Fangsfan.... I want to go see that movie so badly! Did they say if it was any good? It sounds like they might have thought that.

I don't think they had seen it yet but they were going. I know, I wanted to see it too, it looks good. Amazing how many versions of that story there have been and they keep coming.

It is so funny that what was recently mentioned on this site about the Dobby Eyes peaking out of the bushes.
Every night since C.J. passed, I go to the large back french doors and look out to where he and the other puppies are sleeping, and I say goodnight to them.
On the other side of the yard in a garden with a small pond and stones that are a waterfall of sorts, I was suddenly shocked to see way back in the corner, where the Arborvitae line the back of my property, a pair of gleaming reflective eyes looking toward me..
After the initial shock wore off, I just stood and watched as a small opossum slowly made its way out of the bushes, walked up to the pond which has water in it from snow melt and it proceeded to drink for a few minutes only to then turn around and walk right back and disappear into the darkness of the arborvitae once again.
I wonder if it knows that the pond has been there for years and maybe this is a regular drinking site for it. It really was nice to seem a living creature out last night.. Made me remember both this site, and my pups as well as that scene in the books.

I was cleaning the house today as we have family coming for Easter and realized there was still a Christmas plate still hanging up in my living room. So I switched it out and chose a plate with three beautiful white kittens in a pansy bed. Guess who I thought of?

I was reading a book today where there was "a spider as big as a hamburger" and one of the characters was deathly afraid of spiders! Not the first time I've had HP deja vu while reading other books.

Oh I love those. It always brings a smile to my face.
The other night, while watching Pawn Stars. I saw an old episode I've not seen before. This one had some guy who brought in one of those police mug shot kits. It was from back in the 80's. In the box, there were all of these clear films. Each had different a different facial feature of all different types. So, once you choose the perfect eyes that match, you would overlap it with the proper nose... another for the lips/mouth... so on and so forth. Well, ChumLee decided to stand right there and find Rick's face in there. He left off the nose all together. Rick stood there looking at himself, bald head with eyes and a mouth. He said that he looks like someone from a Harry Potter movie.
LOL!

We have an shop in town that always has really cool window displays. Lately I've noticed this tray with all kinds of old perfume bottles-different shapes and colors. I couldn't think at first what it reminded me of. Then I realized-remember in the first Harry Potter movie they have the extras for the DVD and one of them is Snape's challenge for the trap door with all the different bottles which do different things. This bottle display in the window reminds me so strongly of that, now I have to stop and look every time I go by.

Fangsfan, that sounds so cool that you were reminded of the potions masters enchantment protecting the Sorcerers Stone. I can almost imagine what it must be like to walk past that window display myself!
