Yesterday, before we were about to leave the house to go out for the day.... someone asked me where we were going. I could not think of the name of the herbal store I was going to go to for something I ordered... (I'm going to try out a migrane remedy to see if it will work.) Well, I could not remember the name of the place so I called it an Apothecary. Weird thing.... that is all I could think of to call it. Too much Harry Potter huh? ;D

My Harry Potter Deja vu....
The other night, I rented a movie that I thought was the original Nightmare on Elm Street. Turned out at some point in time they made a remake of it. Not near as scary to me. But what I thought was funny.... there was one scene where in the dream, it was snowing inside the room the girl was in... I yelled out HOGWARTS!
oh goodness....

I came here to post a deja vu and found all the stuff about Miss Charlotte's trip to the Theme Park. Somehow I had totally missed it before, I know it came out when My computer was crashed. Absolutely fascinating and wonderful! Miss C, thanks so much for sharing, it was like being there with all those details. I have been hoping someone would go and post all about what it was like, I thought your descriptions were fantastic. This was just what I wanted, thanks again for taking the time to share all of it.

Thanks for commenting.... Also, over at the Seven Harry's section, I posted links to images we took of the park. Thanks for bringing this up.. I still have much left to do on my to do list. One is to send out those owls as well as to retake the pictures of the things we brought back with us. We usually keep the house a bit dark for medical reasons, so to find a place where there is plenty of light to retake the pictures is going to be a challenge. OH and I found where I placed the postcards this morning. I have the stamps, I just need to figure out what to write on them. ..... Another HP deja vu.... It's so funny how you can be watching some television show that has nothing to do with Harry Potter, then out pops a reference to it. Last night, I was watching a show called 'Lost Girl.' Mainly about a fairy realm. Not what you would expect. Some things I'm not so keen with the show but the rest I do find interesting. I do love the different kinds of magical folk they introduce each week. Very interesting types of peoples too. Anyway, last night the main character Bo, told someone that this ain't Hogwarts where you can just walk up on a platform and ride a train..... Oh great. I can't believe I can't remember the exact quote? I guess I'll have to rewatch the show later on this week and edit this post.

My Harry Potter DejaVu....
Right now, my daugher is at that age where she notices every boy around. One of her good friends, she's had for over a year now, has long shockingly red hair. Well, last night she was showing me pictures of one of his two pet rats. Funny, because he named one of them Percy.
I had to crack up laughing. ;D

Love it, Miss C.!
Today, I am giving one of the statewide tests to fourth grade, and in the directions, they tell you to make a "dark mark" when choosing your answer. Of course, you all know what I thought of! LOL

I am watching my Aunt's DVD of The Gardens of England. I was amazed to see one couple made a "chess garden" with these huge chess pieces in it-reminded me so much of the one in the movie.

Lol. I just have to laugh. What is popular right now among our 4th and 5th grade girls are mismatched socks. They actually sell coordinating, though mismatched pairs in he stores now! Dobby would be so proud...who knew he was setting a trend?

;D My daughter does that too. Here I gave up earlier this year trying to match her socks up when it's wash day. I just dump them all in her drawer clean for her to choose which sock she wants to wear with another one. LOL. .... Oh I just wanted to add... While I was in the hospital with my daughter... she slept alot. I didn't so much as have a pen or pencil to write with. So many old memories came to mind. First.... wanting a pen to scribble any thought for a Harry Potter storyline that would enter my mind. It reminded me of how JKR was stuck on a train and didn't have anything but her thoughts to get her by... just hoping that once she got home she could remember all that popped into her head the day Harry Potter entered her life. I had not thoughts for fan fictions just yet.. But when I was sitting in the waiting room for her to get out of surgery, I laughed at the old memories of when i was sitting right there in that particular seat nine years ago waiting for my son to get out of a six hour surgery. I was reading my set of Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them for the first time. I remember how I was kept occupied with all of the magical creatures with abilities attributes that I had never heard of in any other lore to that date. I remember that was about the same time I was working on researching Dragons and the Occamy for role plays I was doing at that particular time. JKR's mind really is enchanting. It helped to keep my thoughts from being overwhelming having to do with the surgery my son was going through that morning. Anyway..... Someone I was talking to on the phone, mentioned that they have a cart that goes around with books on it for the patients. I really wanted my own copies of the HP books to keep me busy. Still, I took them up on it. I asked for the cart lady. (snickers) Once she arrived, she really looked at me perplexed. She was trying to think of something, she would have, that the mother of a child would be interested in reading. I said, "NO problem... ANY Of the Harry Potter books would do. Surprise me." Her eyes got big. Lit up in fact. She said she too is a Harry Potter fan... Then when she came back from where ever they kept the books, she handed me what? ? HBP. Oh it was a new copy. It's been ages since I saw fresh pages. After all, it's my favorite book of the series. She never knew. Cool!

;D Sometimes I crack myself up.... Today, while looking for a book that I wrote many years ago about my son. (I need to update it.) I found my shrunken head that I just threw into a drawer and forgot about. ;D It was a souvenir that I picked up while in Branson Missouri. Ripley's Believe it or Not museum.

The other night, I was watching one of my tv shows, Lost Girl. I always love watching this show because they have their own take on Faery folk lore. Just like JKR has her own take on the magical world and was inspired from other lore and real life occurances. Well, the episode last week had their own idea about the Hand of Glory. It was quite gruesome but made more sense from what I've heard of before. I can't wait to see what they spotlight in there next week.

Today while walking in the woods I saw the prettiest little orange and black bird. Too small to be an oriole and not quite the right markings, in fact I thought it was a butterfy at first. It made me think of Hermione conjuring the little birds that attacked Ron although hers were probably not so pretty as this. Then I also got to wondering, I wonder if whoever invented that game angry birds had Hermione in the back of their mind?

I've never played that game, but I have a big black one that looks like a bomb that my daughter gave to her brother for Christmas... as well as a blue Tee shirt I gave him. I've seen others play it but don't want to get hooked. (right now, I'm addicted to bubble sniper game on my hubbys and my daughter's Ipads. good grief. I'll play it for hours) Still, I know what you mean with the Hermione connection. ;D

When I was watching the live coverage of Comic-Con there was one of the guy hosts who wore a Gryffindor tie beneath his vest. He said to the girl host standing beside him that he didn't think that anyone would notice, she said she noticed it straight off. YAY POTTER!

Hey Duddahs... You crack me up. You posted this on the favorite quote thread:
I forgot to mention that when my daughter was in the first emergency room, she made a comment that it's too bad that Lockhart was not there. It took me a minute to see what she was talking about. ;D
