If you kill someone in Vermont driving under the influence of alcohol or another drug you will be arrested for driving with intent to kill, and you will go to jail for a long time. I don't think Vermont is alone in this new stance against drunk driving.

To imagine a place where people on purpose will aim their cars for every pedestrain or car that is on the street just because they might have had a beer with supper. Creepy. Sounds like they are trying to bring back prohibition.

OK... it's way past time for another question to be thrown at you guys.... so catch! In YOUR minds eye...... If you could create your OWN Honeydukes candy.... What would it be and what would the magic in it do?

Ooo my mind is racing already on this thought....
Lets see...
Oh.. Some of mine would be more for medicinal purposes and be shipped out to hospitals around the world.
~ a hard toffee that would take all pain away immediately, no matter the intensity.
~ a chewy toffee that will be eaten once a day that will allert the witch or wizard of an ailment coming on before it does.
~ a butter cream that will grow a witch or wizards hair back.
~ A nutty nougat that will make you speak in a different language for an hour.
~ a sourball that will have some skelgrow inside the center... to help completely heal the bones from the inside out.
~ a flat chocolate chip with properties that will cause you to fart in colors...... Definitely one for Fred and Georges' shop.
Ooo I'm gonna have to post more of these later.

Think stretchy man or Lockhart's no bones curse.

In YOUR minds eye...... If you could create your OWN Honeydukes candy.... What would it be and what would the magic in it do? Ok, I know I've talked about lemon a lot, so I'll do a lemon one. I'm also thinking about lemon as in cleansers-because I'm taking care of an old dog right now and he keeps having accidents and I have to keep washing the floor. So my candies are called Lemon Lavers. The wrapper is yellow with a picture of a mop on it. You take off the wrapper, pop the lemon candy in your mouth and throw the wrapper right on the floor. It turns into a magical mop and washes whichever floor you throw it on-choose with care! Each candy is good for one free cleaning.

I'll bet you anything that it will also make your house smell like lemons. ;D I'll try to update this thread soon with a new question. I had a good one the other day, but like usual, by the time I was able to get to a computer I had already forgotten what it was. I know it had something to do with the films for some reason... hmm? Thanks guys for posting thusfar.

Miss Charlotte, I loved all your candy ideas. I'll bet St Mungo's would buy out your supply too! And that chewy toffee one might finally be the cure for the common cold-you could bombard your system with Viatamin C and Zinc when you know it's coming and maybe stop it from coming at all.

No thoughts huh? OK.... What are your thoughts on Ron Weasley? My thoughts on Ron Weasley are that he is truly a brave person who lived through a great deal of harassment brought on by his friendship with Harry Potter. A true friend, through and through

OK... New one... In your minds eye.... The Inferi in the Horcrux cave I have to get caught up on this thread. Miss C I remember, reading some very interesting views of yours on this topic before, can't remember now which site it was on. The idea of the inferi I think was horrible and disturbing and I think maybe JKR used it to show how evil LV and his minions were and that he would use any means to get what he wanted. The most disturbing thing about this to me was what if the inferi who appeared had been someone DD or Harry knew? Every time I read this section I think how awful that would have been. And I think if they could have committees on things like Misuse of Muggle Artifacts, why wouldn't they have a committee to try to invent some kind of spell to counteract the spell which created inferis? Surely such talented wizards as Dumbledore or Snape could have invented one?

I have said this before, I have always invisioned the Inferi all to look like Gollum from LOTR.

Funny.... for some reason I always saw Dobby to look similar to Gollum even though I KNOW that is not HOW JKR described him to be. OK... New one... In your minds eye.... The Inferi in the Horcrux cave I have to get caught up on this thread. Miss C I remember, reading some very interesting views of yours on this topic before, can't remember now which site it was on. Ah.... that would have to be over at the WB... Where I mentioned on a severe note how I saw that JKR was attempting to add zombies to her book series. I mentioned if that really was where she was going and if in the next book I would see that they would start eating other people I would then close the book never knowing how JKR would have ended the story. I can't stand zombies in any way shape or form. They are simply gross, not scarey in the slightest. And I don't see the need for zombies to be in this story. But I was willing to turn my back on this series and even give up going to hang out at any Harry Potter website. That is how strongly I feel about this. I know back in the days when I was doing in depth research trying to see if I could guess as many theories correctly as to what we might see in DH.... Well, in my research, I noticed that there was only one described to have worn a wizards robe. I always held to the belief that that had t have been RAB or Regulus Black. The rest are more vague in description.

In YOUR mind's eye.....
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

In YOUR mind's eye..... Harry Potter and the Chamber of SecretsThis was my least favorite book of the series. It was hard for me to figure out why. In thinking about it I decided part of it was: The first book was introducing everything and everyone, books 3 through 7 for me had more of an adult turn and held my interest more. The second book just didn't seem to fit in as well. I will say that after reading the entire series I began to appreciate COS more. I felt it was import to the series because it introduced the history of Tom Riddle which became crucial to the series. Also the introduction of the house elves which I felt also became very important to the series. Another important thing: the idea of pure blood wizards and "Mud Bloods." This I thought was a theme of the whole series, fighting prejudice. So although it's still not my favorite, I decided this book was very important to the series as a whole. Hope this makes sense!

Wow? Least favorite? I guess for me it's because of what you just said is the reason I liked it more than most of the others. Tom Riddle.... I love to see the psychology of a person... What makes them tick? Why did he choose this or that? So with Voldemort being the bad guy, I so wanted to know what made him that way. Then to get that glimpse into the younger version of him... Oh and in a very different sort of way that only JKR could do. Then we also get a look at Draco's background in a round about way. I loved this book. I saw it close to the top of my list. I would say the movie is within the top three for me. But what I think is funny, is that I know how you feel about book five. The two of us have the same ideas but about the opposite books. Uhmmm... I mean I feel the same about book five that you do of book two and vice versus. Even though I didn't care for that book... I did have to take a real good look at it to see just how important book five really was. Aren't we just a hoot? ;D
