Dumbledore as James Bond! Wow.. I missed reading THAT when you put it up. ;D Sorry... Sean Connery is the best one. No way Michael Gambon. ;D ........ SOmethihng equally funny to me... Right now I have Galaxy Quest on with Alan Rickman playing an alien dude. I've seen it before.. have it on VHS in fact but it's been years and years. So I am sitting here cracking up laughing. Seeing Snape with alien head makeup and the things he's saying.. expressions. I have to shake my head and laugh. ;D

I"ve been busy all morning enjoying the beautiful cool summer day. It's simply divine. So, I suddenly got the urge to clean out stuff and rearange this's and thats's.
I finally sat down for ten seconds with my family. I noticed they are watching Shanghi Nights with Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson. Then there she was, Madam Pomfrey stepping out of a coach all dressed like the Queen of England.
LOL! It's been years since I've watched that film that this was a surprise to me.

Yeah, It was on again the other night. Here I was, sitting there with my hubby. Once it was over we both looked at each other and asked why we sat there and watched it? We then laughed. See, this film has a different meaning to both of us since many times we used to be those crazy fans sitting in the audience at Star Trek Conventions. And seeing Alan in this is simply too much. I often wondered what possessed him to take on this role. It's not his normal choice. LOL.

I remember now what I came here to post.
This has been a Shakespeare week for me.
Only this morning I turned on the TV and got interested in something that was already tuned on. It was The Tempest. I thought to myself.. So that is what that is about.
See, when I was a kid I hated Shakespeare. I'm not one for the Romeo and Juliet storyline. Even when I was 15 and it was required reading. I just could not read it. The English was like a foreign language and so frustrated me so. Well, I guess I had to wait until my brain grew enough to where I could make sense of it all. The other day I tuned in to a You Tube link to a BBCA show. I'd love to buy the film it's self. It was Shakespeare's King Henry V. To my surprise there were some of my favorite actors. One of my newest favorite is a guy named Tom Hiddleson. He plays the king. In this film there was John Hurt, Julie Walters and Uncle Vernon. It was pretty good. However, I wonder how much of this story was true from Shakespeare's version of what happened?

I remember growing up we would all go to my Aunt's house every year to watch the Oscars and eat refreshements she prepared for us-our annual Oscar party. One year the best actress was won by Maggie Smith for The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie. I remember being mad because I'd never heard of her and wanted one of the more famous actresses to win. Little did I know she would end up playing one of my favorite characters if one of my favorite book series of all time.

OK.... Fangsfan mentioned that Emma is going to be in a new film soon. I think it was on the million thread. I commented that what I saw a few months ago as that she was going to be in a new film that was a far off cry from her role as Hermione. Come to find out when I went to look for it, that Emma is going to be in TWO films.
Here they are:
The Perks of Being a Wallflower. (this one I just heard about today.)
The Bling Ring (this was the one I knew about from before.)

I wish I remembered the name of this film. I DVR'd a movie that has Mcgonagall and Pettigrew in it. It's a nice little ghost story. It was made a few years back but I really enjoyed it. I watched it just yesterday, then deleted it or I could post the name.. Phooey. And I cried there at the end.
A good family movie.

OH I just had to come in here before I hit the sack. It's been a long day. During my day out, I was reminded that this movie that I've been wanting so badly to see is out for rent. So, I did. I just finished watching it and it's most definately one to purchase. Yep it's on my wish list now. So, after wards I had to check out the cast list. I recognized a couple of voices but could not place where. I LOVE Kelly McDonald (Gosford Park, Nanny McPhee.) I thought I was right. She's the red haired girl in my avatar, named Princess Merida. Then there is John Ratzenburger from Cheers. To my horrible surprise there are THREE Harry Potter actors in this movie and I never realized it the whole way through. So embarrassed. Trelawney plays the Queen Elinor... mom of the girl with the red hair. Then there is Molly who out of all of the characters plays an old witch lady who lives in a cottage in the woods. Then there is Hagrid, who plays one of the three suitor's father, Lord Dingwald. HOW could I have missed this? Anyway.... it's definately one not to miss. Good night everyone. I'll see you in the morning.

A couple of nights ago, we rented the new Amazing Spiderman movie. Before I saw the film all I could think of is how much this new spiderman looks just like a guy I used to hang out with when I was 16 and 17 at school. He was a pretty cool guy. Then I like Emma Stone and was happy to see she was in this movie too. She's not playing the same girlfriend that is normally in these Spiderman shows, but a new character.
So we stuck it in. To may shock there was our very own Xeno Lovegood with one arm. I never heard that he was going to be in this at all. Turns out in a way he was the bad guy. However there was this one scene where Peter knocked on his front door. I suddenly had a flash of Xeno opening the door to Harry because both Peter and Harry wore glasses. I did miss the diridgable plums growing beside the front door. LOL

Duddahs watched The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel over the weekend...
Oh what a truly special movie!
Duddahs absolutely loved Maggie Smith, Bill Nighy and Judy Dench and the rest of the cast...
If you get a chance to rent this movie, Duddahs strongly suggests it as an excellent choice.

This one looks to be very interesting. Just imagine Emma Thompson has gone over to the dark side? She sounds like she could give Voldemort a run for his galleon.

You know. I've been trying to find this show for ages. At first, every time I heard the name of it, I thought it was a tv movie. I didn't know it was a series. It was not until recently that I found out that it was a tv show AND that it had Maggie Smith in it. People were all looking forward to a certain episode comming up. Well, I kept doing a search on my satelite search option. I kept spelling it wrong... Downtown Abbey. No wonder it would not show up on search. So I gave up. But seeing these two posts here I realize the correct spelling. Still, I can't find it on any channel for the next week or so. Could someone please tell me what channel and what is the timespot it normally comes on so I can keep an eye out for it. ALSO... I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me how many seasons I've missed already? I'll say it now... Thanks ahead of time.

I heard some people talking about Downton Abbey just yesterday and they said it was the third season, not sure if that's right though. I got the movie Hugo, which I've wanted to see for a while, with a gift cert I got for Christmas. At the end credits, I saw the name Richard Griffiths, isn't that Uncle Vernon? Now I'll have to watch the movie over so I can spot him! I also got to see a little of the movie Camelot, with Dumbledore (Harris) as King Arthur, the other day before work. So much younger, I don't know if I'd have recognized him if I hadn't already known.
