Dragon's World? You definately have my attention. Is it an old film? You know anything dragons I'm there. I loved Reign of Fire even though it was a very different kind of role for Mathew McConagey (sp?)
There is one I was trying to rent at Redbox the other night called "How to Train Your Dragon." I originally was not that interested in seeing some cartoon about dragons, but I've seen little bits and pieces to the point I broke down to go look to rent it... They were out. I think they replaced all of the selections with things related to Valentines Day. So I'll have to go check it out next week.
I DID see the last Shrek Movie yesterday. I love that series... but was not so into the one where they had their kids... I got a little bored with that one.. but this last one where Shrek had a taste of It's a Wonderful Life (so to speak) this one was pretty good. It kinda hit very close to home for me. Go Fiona! RA! ;D
JB.... I remember when Mask came out.. the one that you are referring to. I've always tried to steer away from ones I KNOW will make me cry. I was so tempted to watch it anyway but still have not. Thanks for letting us know there are good funny parts in it as well. Who knows I might watch it the next time I see it is on tv.. you know.. give it a chance.

I rented a couple of movies to watch for me on my weekend (today and tomorrow.) I watched Paranormal Activity 2. I've not seen the first one so I was not in the know what to expect. This was hard for me to stay awake, but after a while I had goosebumps. It's filmed in such a different way than just the ordinary movie... sort of a hint of how they filmed Blair Witch. The other film I watched was Remember Me with Robert Pattinson. It's alright... but there at the end I had goosebumps once again (and it's quite warm out here so it's not me sitting in a draft. ;D ) A small twist in the story that is all. Now for later, I'll watch Robin Hood with that guy who played with Richard Harris in Gladiator. This guy plays Robin. Like with the old tales of Merlin and King Arthur, I have always loved the stories of Robin Hood... Wonderful Classics. Let's see how this guy does.

Watched the movie RED and loved it! The action was so much fun. I forget sometimes that I actually do like Bruce Willis... It is a great cast too.
Also I watched a very controversial movie that I did see the Broadway show to 4 years ago. It is call the History Boys.
I knew what it was about so was not shocked in any way about the content, which is not really dirty or anything, just kind of controversial to some.
The actor who plays Uncle Vernon and the actress who plays Madame Maxim were both in the Broadway Show and the movie... They were both OUTSTANDING!
If you have an open mind and are not offended by some subjects I strongly suggest this movie. It will make you cry, laugh and then cry and laugh again at the same moment. At the end you will feel both good and bad but then as the closing credits roll and the final scene wraps up you will feel EXTREMELY GOOD inside for a long time.

Having finally gotten the chance to watch the Blu Ray of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows with the cut scenes, I realize how much we all had missed out on the Dursleys at the beginning and the extremely touching scene where Hermione is walking away from her home...
For some odd reason, I had never thought of what the area of England was like where Hermione lived looked like. It was very touching and I think that being so close to the death of Hedwig it would have made the Movie so much more important had they included those scenes and characters. I believe the redemption of Dudley Scene and the confession of Aunt Petunia scene were very important to how we ultimately feel at the end of Deathly Hallows 2. They made another big error there I believe cutting these out.

i got DH last saturday!! woo hoo, it was on sale, too, $16.99-a fair price!! YOu would not believe this... Well, a few nights after the movie's release, I was at work and found PART of the empty package of the BluRay version of DH part one. Procedure had me look up the code on the back of the box and fill out a form before I turn it into claims for broken or stolen items. Well, since I didn't have the upc code I had to find a copy that was in tact and use that one to get the code. I searched all over the display and never could find it. We sold out of ALL of the BluRay versions of DH part one within a few days. We had plenty of DVD's though as well as the rerelease of the others in a multipack.

I believe the redemption of Dudley Scene and the confession of Aunt Petunia scene were very important to how we ultimately feel at the end of Deathly Hallows 2. They made another big error there I believe cutting these out. They did leave in Hedwig's death scene. Oh and I agree with you.. They thought that by cutting these scenes that were telling a side storyline.. one not necessary. I DO think they were necessary. But I've always thought the film makers put little importance into the Dursley's as a whole. That is why they were left out of so much of the movies they should have been in. Some of these scenes not only were important to how harry reacted between the two worlds, but could have added a lighthearted touch to such darker movies... Well, aside from these left out scenes from DH. I really felt for Dudley, but I think they still could have written more from Petunia. I found they way they did her scene a bit lacking from how I read it from the book. Yet I saw how they shot Dudley's scene a bit more fitting than how I saw it from the book. Does that make sense?

Watched a movie the other night called The Kids are Alright.
It is about a family with two moms. One being Jessica Lange the other Mandy Moore and co staring Mark Guroffalo (sp).
I highly recommend the movie. It is so well acted and comfortable in the way it is done that I am so glad we watched it. Jenn wanted to see it, I had the disc from netflix for over 3 months and kept putting it off. She packed it for watching on vacation.
I am glad she did.

We watched a spectacular movie last night.
It was called The Help...
If you enjoyed Steel Magnolia's you are going to love this movie too I believe.
Going to see War Horse this week. Just dying to see it too. I am getting ready to see the Broadway Show again soon too.
My sister and brother in law are wanting to see it so that is why we are going in to the city for a weekend to see it as well as some other restaurant and show viewing.
I hear that Evita is coming back to B'way too!
Oh and we got tickets to see How to Succeed in Business again, this time with Darren Cris in the role that Dan Radcliffe played. Yesterday was Dan/s last show along with John Laroquette.
While we are in the city, we are going to also see On a Clear Day with Harry Connick Jr. We were hoping to get Matinee tickets to see Hugh Jackman's show but we will have to be lucky at the Box Office I guess. Can;t get them online.

Finally can return it for a new movie too. Loved it, made Duddahs feel good. Went to bed with a smile on his ole beak.... SQUIRREL! Sorry for not posting much these days. Turns out when the weather gets hot for a bit then cold for a bit then hot and cold. It takes it's toll on a body. It's just now a few after six pm and I'm already curled up with my fuzzy blanket, waiting for Survivor to come on. My poor son. I asked him if it was ok for me to go ahead and put him in bed early, he was alright with that. It's going to be just the two of us tomorrow. Daughter will be in school. Hubby gets his cast off of his foot for the first time after the one they put on after surgery. So, he's going to drive himself. I just don't feel up to getting out for a while. I'm pooped. Still, I have been renting movies and watching them in between important people dropping by my house ... in and out for about a week. All is well. I'm just ready to relax and not have to deal with people right now.... yep, one thing about a fuzzy blanket, you can pull them up over your head and make the world go away on your side for a while. LOL. While son was sleeping yesterday morning I watched the good ole fashioned The Wonderfulf Wizard of Oz. Honestly, it's been on tv throughout the years, I just never really watched but my favorite parts then allowed others to take over the tv for the rest. I got to watch the whole thing and loved it. Still, movies like UP... I love them too. I've seen in once back when it came out to rent. It's fun. Love the dog. The one I can't wait to get my hands on is the movie called Brave. See my avatar if you wonder why. I have been dying to watch it ever since I saw the first advertisment for it. Really, I should change my avatar since I pampered myself a couple of weeks ago and got my hair cut much shorter. (See Regina from OUAT. Except mine is more red then her beautiful black/brown.) Anyway... sorry for the ramble, I have it set up that my son and I will watch a few other movie cartoons. I rented Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio and Beauty and the Beast... all Disney. Like you said, it's always good for a smile on your face to watch movies like these that we love so well. My chili is getting cold. got to go.

If any one wants to watch a great movie, check out the 100 Foot Journey starring Helen Mirren.
It is not only a fantastic movie, it is one that should have been give the nod for the Academy Award with Helen Mirren also as Best Actress.
