OK,,, I was wiped out after shoveling and snow blowing I sat down after dinner and watched a movie called "The Time Travelers Wife"
It was wonderful and I would strongly suggest it. You will need a box of Kleenex near by though... Trust me on that one.

OK, I have been keeping a movie to watch for a while due to the passing of 3 of my dogs over the past year and a half. It was very difficult and even though I had wanted to see this movie, I knew I was just not ready for it.
So last night I finally broke down and rented Marley and Me.
All I have to say is that I am still not sure if I was ready to see it. It was a wonderful movie but I honest to goodness cried like a little girl.
I do not know how people could have even gone to see this movie in the theaters unless they do not care how they look to others after the movie is over with.
If you have ever loved anyone or anything and it has loved you, you will just love this movie but be warned, bring paper towels as Kleenex will not do it.

JB, Nice to hear someone else mention Love Actually-it's one of my all time favorites. There were so many different storylines and they were all great-I can't pick my favorite. Plus it had HP actors in it.

Oh that is so funny. Back when Love Actually came out. I remember the rest of my buddies over at the Alan Rickman Forum and I could not wait for it to hit theaters... I ended up waiting until it was for rent. I thought it was ok... but I agreed with my AR friends... I wish Alan could have had a better role, not some guy who cheated on his wife and got caught. They did show the depths of emotion that must happen along with that situation. But I'll have to say that my favorite part of the whole movie was our foul mouthed Scrimgeour... Yep I know that was a really awful part to play and the fact that he cracked me up shocked me. Still, I love the song he sang and how they encourperated it into different parts of the other storylines.... wait.... it's been a while since I saw it. I might be remembering it wrong. Maybe I ought to dig it out and watch it again this weekend. JB.. yep... Sweet November was definately not something I expected it to be... but when I saw it, I loved it.. I could just tuck JI into my pocket and take him home with me. This movie is definatly a tear jerker too. Just thought I'd tell you that Duddah, since you seem to have posted about movies that needs tissues. Grab a box and enjoy. .... well if you watch it that is.

I watched the Social Network the other night and I have to say, it was fantastic!
I would not doubt it may be on its way toward an Oscar, that is if it did not peak too soon.

Over the last couple of days I watched both The Social Network and Inception. I really liked both of them. They are both the kind of movies you have to pause if you have to go run to another room for a second because if you don't, when you get back all will have changed and you will be lost. Yes.. you have to pay close attention.
I never get on facebook or the facebook what it was called originally, so I thought this movie not only would tell me how the site got up and running but more about the site it's self. I did notice there in the beginning that he was on livejournal, which is a site I used to spend countless hours at myself once upon a time. I've never been to Myspace nor anything else like that. Still, I was surprised I didn't come out learning more about the facebook site than when I stuck in this movie... I just know there was a lawsuit that I never heard about before. Then there was a person called the napster. I thought it was a made up character on the movie The Italian Job... which honestly I loved that move more than these two put together.
Inception was incredible. I really got it from a friend who turned it off about twenty minutes into the show because they said it was too much thinking. LOL. They told me there it is if I want to watch it that they thought it was a movie I'd like to see. Funny because it was on my to get list yesterday at RedBox. Honestly, if I had not paid close attention to the first third of the movie, as well as on my own visualize ALL that they were talking about during this time, I would have been completely lost for the last two thirds of the film. Then I also loved the weirdness of the dream mapping. Just brilliant. I've ALWAYS wanted to have some of my dreams be where I personally could choose what and where and when the dream would be about. I think what helped me from the beginning was the fact that I had already heard of shared dreaming as well as (I forget the actual name) but it's when the military during world war 2 came up with spies who could spy on th enemy from remote locations to see where and what the enemy is and up to... wait that might be psychic thing not so much dreaming..... Oh well, it did sort of hit home with me during this film. Anyway, there still were lots of plot turns and twists that was not planned out during the first third so we had pleany new stuff added in there.
..........
Then last night I also finally got my hands on the movie I've been waiting to see called RED. It's so funny... A must for those who like action films... and humor. I'm not normally a fan of most of the actors in this film... John Malcovitch has always given me the creeps but was my favorite person here... Cracked me up! I loved him and his little pig... then how he'd say things and the rest thought he was crazy. Morgan Freeman was as good as always. Helen Mirren was a surprise to me that shte took a role like this but she did shine. It shows her ability to act any type role. I'm not really a Bruce Willis fan since they canceled Moonlighting back in the 80's. This was a surprising role for my for him as well. Then there was the guy who played on Lord of the Rings. My daughter looked up from her computer and said Look there's Bones from Star Trek. Yep... A shocker that SHE not being that much of a ST fan saw the ST connection before I had. LOL. This story is a good one... I'd say rent it if you want something a bit more lighthearted than the first two films I mentioned. LOL.

I want to see the new Thor movie and Green Hornet, but I haven't got the time. I've seen advertisements for both... You'll have to tell me about the Green Hornet when you do see it. I'll most likely watch it when it's out for rent. Thor looks to be too good to wait!

Thor does look salmost too good to be true, so I have some sceptism reserved, but I am really excited about the Green Hornet due to the way it breaks from a traditional super hero movie. btw did you know that originally the character Britt Reid who is the alter ego to the Green Hornet was the grandson to the Lone Ranger?

i know this is an old movie, but it is another brilliant film!! it's 'mask', starring cher and eric stoltz...amazing movie and acting! it's about a young teen with a very rare condition that has distorted his head and face. it's another tear jerker, too, but has lots of funny and tender moments, too.
;D you lot must think all i watch are tear jerkers hehe...not so, i love all sorts, comedy, fantasy, action, sci fi and some dramas

We watched Inception this weekend. It was good! I was confused for the 1st 5 - 10 minutes, but then everything got explained, and I was able to follow it. I don't want to give any spoilers, or I would say my favorite part. Maybe I'll tell it when others have seen it. A very cool movie. And Leonardo DiCaprio has come a long way since Titanic!

Just finished watching the movie La Mission with Benjamin Bratt in the lead role..
Magnificent movie.. Deep, controversial, thought provoking and just brilliantly written and acted.
A movie that any parent or potential parent should have to watch.

Has anyone ever seen the movie Dragon's World? It was made by the people who did the dragons in Goblet of Fire.
