Well GO! Start a thread for Doctor Who. Funny that you mentioned this. See, this morning I set my DVR to record two episodes. See, back in the early 80's I used to watch this show every weekend. Of course back in the days before there were VCR's in every home. Anyway, I need to play catch up. So I thought I have to start somewhere. Later when my house is quiet, I'll watch these shows that I've recorded. Actually, I mentioned to hubby yesterday that I want to go to my local video rental place to see if they have any past seasons that are more current.. well, you know what I mean. Anyway, I've only seen a couple of these newer shows a couple of years ago. I heard they have a new doctor. Cool. I wonder how many they've had since they renewed this show from the old days? Oh well. I hope you start a new thread for this. It's sure to be fun. Thanks for telling me when the new season is going to start. Just a couple of days away. Cool.

Sadly, I think that the Game of Thrones seasons are not available through netflix....hope I'm wrong! Erin I don't have Netflix... or if I do I never tried to use it.. Not sure how it works... if it's a website like Hulu? OK... showing my ignorance here. So far... I have about 20 episodes DVR'd. I will miss season three when it starts. My free three month usage of several movie channels on my Dishnetwork will be up the middle of October. I think the next season starts spring-ish next year. So long to wait.

I just realized that it's a Harry Potter week on ABC Family! NOT the weekend...but through Friday, they are airing GOF, OOTP, and HBP. Erin ;D I had to look at the date on this. This past weekend they had NOT on ABC Family channel, but on the regular ABC channel, another HP weekend. They played GOF Saturday night and then OOTP last night. *sighs* /////////////////////////////////////////// Here is something I've been meaning to post about. We have a brand new channel on tv that says it's an Arkansas Channel. It's called METV Do any of you out there also get a version of this MeTv? Basically, it has all of the tv shows that used to come on back when we were kids. I mean, not only Andy Griffith, but Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, I dream of Jenie, Bewitched, Daniel Boone, Bob Newhart, The Odd Couple, That Girl, Kojak, Doby Gillis, Bonaza, The Big Valley, MASH, Perry Mason, the Beverly Hillbillies, Make Room for Daddy, The Rifleman, Twilight Zone, Gunsmoke, My Three Sons... Hey, I could keep going, but I was always surprised that they didn't have more of these shows on TVLand. I watched a very very old Andy Griffith. Opie was so tiny and Aunt Bea was actually funny. She told a story of how embarrassed she was to have burried her hubby in a rented suit. That people were making fun of her because her dead hubby was always causing them to be broke and is still at it beyond the grave. The suit would have cost them 50 dollars full price, but now it's been years she owes the rental place well over 300 dollars. I could not help but crack up. I don't remember that episode. I have not watched the Brady Bunch in ages. My daughter walked up and was shocked to hear Marsha was upset because Davy Jones could not come sing at their dance. I mean, in this generation, Davy Jones is the squidfaced man on the Pirates movies. ;D ANyway, I seem to have found a single channel that I keep tuning in to watch and leave it there. So cool to see the old things and glad to be able to watch it. I just hope you all who love these shows get a channel like it too. Ours was sort of hidden. It seems like our channel 49 on our satelight is labled something else besides saying MeTv on it.

Duddahs and Miss Jennifer watched what is to be one of the last episodes of Grimm. Shame they did not stay on the story lines of the Grimm's fairy tales. The show would probably have survived longer.
Same goes fir Sleepy Hollow, the plots and story lines strayed so far off course that this once promising show simply has become a ship wreck.
Duddahs is now involved in FX shows Legion, The Americans, Taboo Feud and another she with Lois Anderson as a mother in the show Baskets..

Is that a series based on the movie? I am a big fan of Hitchcock movies. I love the movie Psycho. I'm not sure if the series he might be talking about binging on might be called Bates Motel. If so, then yes. I was watching that series about a year or so ago. It shows how Norman was back when he was a young teen and his mother was still alive. I liked it. Not sure why I stopped watching it. Maybe it moved to another time slot and I lost track. Anyway, from the commercials I've seen lately, it shows Norman standing beside his mother while she is sitting in the rocking chair. I can't help but wonder where they are on the storyline now. I might have to look them up again. Duddahs... If you are talking about something else than what I just posted, please fill us in. I'm a Hitchcock fan as well. As for the Psycho movie it's self. I prefer the older black and white movie than the remake they did a couple of years ago.

Oh you guys are way too smart for this ole bird. The show is indeed Bates Motel and Duddahs has been watching it with Miss Jennifer and Monty via Roku and Amazon.net.
Some of the other series to have gotten under our wings are Feud, the Betty Davis/Joan Crawford saga depicting the goings on and around the making of What Ever Happened to Baby Jane. Louis Anderson in Baskets, the FX drama Taboo all to tide us over until a new season of Game of Thrones and hopefully The Medici's and The Queen.

Oh you guys are way too smart for this ole bird. The show is indeed Bates Motel and Duddahs has been watching it with Miss Jennifer and Monty via Roku and Amazon.net. I watched the final episode last night. It ended in a way that I didn't expect. Since I didn't watch this show in such a long time, but yet did watch it in the early days, I did know who the people were. I am a fan of the movie. You guys of course know I am a fan of Hitchcock. Anyway, I was glad to see that in the wee early hours of the morning, they replayed the last few episodes leading up to the last episode. I hit record, so I can see how it wound up to the end. I've not watched them yet. I'll have to wait. I still wonder how he killed her. I feel it had to be an accident..... maybe he wanted her all to himself. But... Shhhh please don't tell me. I want to find out for myself. I'm also hoping that some day I'll get to have Netflix turned back on so I can watch all of the season's that I missed in between. Someday.

Some of Duddahs favorite regular viewing has gone for good it seems.
Saddest of all wii be Two broke girls.
Duddahs had resolved that Sleepy Hollow had simply run its course. Grimm too had done its best but gave us a fantastic final episode. It is a shame that the Real O'Neils never found its footing. It had some very funny story lines. How is it that Greys Anatomy is still on the air though?
Here is to the hopes that Gotham will return next season as well as a few FX series such as Taboo etc.

Duddahs has been slow binging on the series “Dexter”. Duddahs must have been living under a rock not to have known of this fantastic psycho drama series until this year. Thankfully Roku and Netflix has solved this problem.

Duddahs, Miss Jen and Monty watched a recent DVD find. It is the Little House on the Prairie Christmas edition. It has only two Christmas episodes, the very first Christmas show from the first year and one from the near the end of the series. They are both wonderful and it was such a joy to watch them all over again. Duddahs had forgotten so much about the series yet it all came rushing back like a good friend.

I saw some on SciFi channel too-the end of COS and then they played SS in honor of Harrý's birthday. I enjoyed how they added in all the deleted scenes as I usually watched the DVD's and they don't do that. I need to find my COS DVD and play that spider game again!

Those are series I've never heard of before. Are they on Netflix? For me, there are several different series I'm waiting to start up. It's already September, I can't wait for them to start. Then there are so many I wish they'd cancel in hopes that they'd have a creative spark for a great new television series to put in it's place. I'm not holding my breath.
