OH I remember Space 1999 from ages ago. I've wondered if rewatching it these days would be as much fun... glad to see it's holding up still. I didn't know you can find old shows like that online.. I really do need to get out more online to check out what's available.

I bought the shows like space 1999 and ufo and star trek voyager/ds9 and many others so I can enjoy them and learn from them since I am trying to learn how to make movies.

So, my better half and I and several good friends sat and watched the entire Academy Awards last night.
We all came away feeling ripped off. Who is going to pay us back for the 3 1/2 hours we waisted?
Unfortunately as pretty as Ann Hathaway is and as Handsome as Franko may be considered they just bored us all to tears.
The only good thing to come from the show was the closing act with the group of grade schoolers from Staten Island New York singing Over the Rainbow!
That is what they should have opened the show with so more people could have seen and heard them.. I fear too many people either fell asleep, changed the channel or just dropped dead of shear boredom and missed the kids...

I was wondering if anyone else here watches "So you think you can dance".
Having grown up as a competitive skater, I was kinda forced to take Dance for about 7 years and actually seem to be surrounded by Dancers or ex Dancers...
I like this show and my friends and I have been known to gather round and watch it together from time to time.
With the new season having just started and the new season of America's Got Talent, I would love to know what the others on this wonderful place think about the shows and the contestants and who they think will and will not last?
I got a bid nudge from my Jennifer to write this one, so in a way, this is her foray into the Lovegood Lounge.

I actually haven't seen those shows Duddahs...but I know the ones you mean! I do like to watch "The biggest Loser" when it's on. This past season was my favorite. It was the one, I felt, where the contestants supported each other, and did less game-playing than any other season. I also like Jillian Michaels, and am not sure about her replacement for next season, Anna Kornikova (sp?).

Oooh, America's Got Talent is enjoyable. My favorite so far this season is the woman who brought that parrot in...The one that could do all kind of tricks. That was so cool!
I haven't really watched the Biggest Loser...Although the premise is certainly interesting!

I seem to have gotten myself hooked on (watch your language)'s Kitchen and Master Chef.
What in the world will I do with my time when Jenn gets back home?

I was just sitting here for the few minutes I have at home this evening.... (karate night in a bit.) I was flipping channels while I eat my dinner and found an old movie that I love and have not seen in ages... I do have it on VHS.
Fiddler on the Roof.... on TCM
Tradition...... Tradition!
Tradition..... TRADITION!
OH what if feels like to have a daughter who seems to be in love with a boy every time I turn around. LOL.... Exhausting that's for certain. I better understand the father's predicament since I'm an old fashioned kind of old lady.

Two NEW TV shows on that I really like so far.
One is GRIMM and it is on Friday nights when nothing else is on.
Then there is Once Upon a Time, or something like that. It is on Sunday and on ABC at 8pm. They moved that show with Tye Pennington to Fridays. MOVE THAT BUS!

Yes... those are right up my alley to watch... but they just come on on the wrong nights. I'm going to have to catch those when they have a marathon. I did get to see part of one of them the other night... but for some reason, I had to miss most of it. I remember saying I wanted to see it before it aired, but I still missed it. Then the other one I missed entirely missed. ......... MY NEW show that I like is called Fact or Faked. It reminds me so much of my beloved Ghost Hunters, where they go out and try to debunk, or recreate the paranormal situation to find out what really is going on. They are like me, believers, but a stong skeptic first. As a kid, I always did that with the horror films I watched... I was hard on those images that were supposed to scare us... I'd say you can see the wires on that guy... he's not flying off that cliff..... OR that guy has his arm held behind his back... you can tell it does not look real.. that his arm is not chopped off. But now a days with computers they take the fun out of that anymore.

Heck nothing has been right since they got that bunch off of Gilligan's Island."

All my dogs have loved peanuts too and nuts of any kind. I've seen commercials of that show Grimm and thought I'd really like it too. I work evenings so would have to tape it though, it's something I should check out.

So who is your favorite character? I'm still not sure if it was this show that I caught a bit of or the other one that is similar. All i recall was the big bad wolf and red writing hood. They were in this world trying to live like us as best they can. All mixed amongst the muggles without them finding out. Was this Grimm or something else that I'm recalling?
