I believe you are refering to the premeire episode of Grimm where they have these girls being attacked by what would be a Werewolf of sorts.
My favorite character of course is the lead, the decedent to the family Grimm and his accomplice who also is a werewolf in disguise but he has turned over a new leaf. I think he might be my favorite on the show.

Funny since I caught it on again recently and once again, I keep rewatching the same episode of shows that I've already seen before. ;D

I can't belive it. I just read an article saying how 85 tv shows were and are on the chopping block this year. That is a lot... this also means we have much to look forward to seeing stuck in those spots. Many were already replaced because of being cancelled soon after they started.

Isn't that so sad?? this has been the worst tv season in my opinion, having so many shows cancelled that is. I did like NEW GIRL with Zooey Deschenal (sp) So---You might say that even though I live in the USA, I have become a big fan of the shows that are airing across the pond. Yeah, I get the BBC channel. Merlin, Doctor Who, Kitchen Nightmares (minus the swearing) ; Ok I have a guilty pleasure-- I watch the Kardashian shows sometimes. I like Clean House, Kimora life in the fab lane..How do I look; I guess you could say I like some reality shows. But sometimes I wonder if they are scripted. I think i'm a couch potato.

Wow... I"ve missed a lot. I have not posted on this thread in ages. Catchup time. I was wondering if anyone else here watches "So you think you can dance". Having grown up as a competitive skater, I was kinda forced to take Dance for about 7 years and actually seem to be surrounded by Dancers or ex Dancers... I like this show and my friends and I have been known to gather round and watch it together from time to time. With the new season having just started and the new season of America's Got Talent, I would love to know what the others on this wonderful place think about the shows and the contestants and who they think will and will not last? I got a bid nudge from my Jennifer to write this one, so in a way, this is her foray into the Lovegood Lounge. I cant' actually say that I've watched an entire episode of this show. I think it comes on opposite something I normally watch. The few times I did tune in... What I did see seemed pretty good. Some of the dancers are very talented. I just always seem to feel bad for the one voted off. But then again, you know how I feel about these sorts of things.

I like Clean House, Kimora life in the fab lane..How do I look; I guess you could say I like some reality shows. But sometimes I wonder if they are scripted. I think i'm a couch potato. I know what you mean... If I don't be careful I'll catch myself litterally taking with a British accent from watching TV shows and movies from over there. Sometimes, I wonder if they have better stuff than we do. Oh Doctor Who! I tried to get into the one that they have now... The one with our Barty Crouch Jr. in it. I still like the one from a million years ago. I LOVE that guy with the long scarf. Baker? I actually used to make fun of the show back when my little brother watched it. He always seemed to have it on whenever I got home from my evenings out on a date. This show would make me laugh. It was so hokey! I would point out that that is NOT a race of alien robot people trying to take over the universe... I said that is a little kid inside of an upturned trash can that has reflectors glued on it. Little did I realize I was getting caught up in the storyline. Eventually, whenever I was on a boring date, I'd sit there thinking that Dr. Who should be starting just about now. Maybe if I get home pretty soon, I'll get to watch the entire episode. THen once I got home, I'd race in there where my little brother was, and have to ask him what I missed so far. ;D Yeah... the look he'd give me! Oh and he loved filling me in on all of the stuff I never knew from past seasons. Once they showed an old episode of someone else playing the Doctor.. I was so confused. ;D I miss the way the old shows went. The new one is ok... I just can't get into it as easy. ..... British TV shows.. I actually have begun a collection of Midsomer Murder DVD's. I buy them (as well as my Agatha Christie collections) at Sam's Club. I treat myself during Christmastime and special occasions. They usually have a season at a time. OH how I miss watching this show. WOW... We just upgraded our cable channels a few days ago. NOW I get the BBC. I didn't think this could be on! OH I've got to keep an eye out for my MM shows. .... Merlin's first two seasons is out for purchase in stores now a days too. I'd like to get the third season to catch that one crucial one I missed. This season is better by far. .... Still, I know what you mean. Not too many good shows on tv this past year. I have to tune in for Survivor and Merlin. Then whenever I can catch it, I have to watch American Pickers and Pawn Stars. THose are also two shows I've watched all year. Recently, I have discovered Storage Wars. Makes me want to shoot some meatballs upside Dave's head every time he says YEP!... ugh! He's such an awful guy. You can't help but root for him to go down or get stuck with a crummy locker. ;D ..... OK... the reason i came to look up this thread. I recorded Merlin the other night from the Scyfy channel onto my DVD recorder. I don't really have the hang of how to use this machine to record all that well. I was a pro with the VCR's no doubt about it. So, I don't know how to preset the DVD to shut off when an hour is up. So... there was this other new show that just premiered right after Merlin went off. They did a back to back show. IT's called Lost Girl. I thought from watching the commercials of this show that it was just another of these vampire shows.. I wondered when someone will come up with something new. So I rolled my eyes. Well... laying in bed.. I finished watching Merlin then lost the controller in the covers somewhere. I ended up watching Lost Girl too. I caught the word Fae. I thought to myself... wait a minute that is more having to do with Faries NOT Vampires. But I knew that a succubus was more a vampire thing. So, I kept watching. It's pretty good. I have always loved the lore having to do with the faerie folk. Now, I think I've found something new that has captured my interest. Hopefully the new tv shows will learn from the ones they cancelled. Sometimes too much of one thing will alienate the rest of the audience out there looking for something better.. different. I used to love crime shows.... CSI, Law and Order. Eventually that has been done to death. All of these reality shows all seem the same... you watch only because someone is behaving badly and they call that entertainment? I don't get it. Then it took so long before Survivor's theme to vote off a person from each episode has caught on with the rest of the shows... OK, eventually, what is next? At least with Survivor you are saying good riddance to the one voted off... these others make you feel sad that people are looking for the bad.. or the mistakes made so to vote off that last person. You can't help but feel bad for them. I wonder when someone will come up with something new.... fresh... exciting.

I watched H's Kitchen last season with Gordon Ramsay, and THAT turned out to be a farce, so I'm no longer gonna watch it. (They kept one girl on there till the lasttwo episodes, , and she should have been the first to GO!)
Anyone remember THE TIME TUNNEL? I got to thinking about that one, and I wonder if it's similar to DOCTOR WHO? They traveled thru this tunnel thing that made yo u dizzy just looking at it. Yeah Tom Baker was the fourth dr who wore that very long scarf. Funny, what's old is new again. I've seen some eps with David tennant. I LOVED him as barty crouch jr and I felt he should have been given more air time. He's the reason I got hoodwinked on DW.

Well, you see, that is what makes the world go round.
Diversity.
I love (watch your language)'s Kitchen and the other show that Gordon Ramsey has on right now where he makes over a restaurant, and then there is the other show where they have non professional chef's where Lydia Bastianovich's son Joe is one of the Judges along side Ramsey and a Chef who was the youngest ever to win a Michelin Star.
I enjoy the cooking shows since I myself am an avid amateur chef/cook. Then again, I must have a million House Hunters and House Hunters International still on my DVR waiting to be watched.
I never could get into Dr. Who, the original or this lame new version. Just not my cup of tea I suppose.
Then again, I still am enjoying watching Grimm and Once upon a Time, New Girl and Big Bang Theory. Survivor has always been a guilty pleasure as Miss Charlotte can attest to. Then there are Dancing with the Stars and So you think you can Dance...
I have sworn off American Idol over a year ago and am not going to give in to temptation to go back. Good riddance to bad rubbish I say.

House Hunters? I never recoreded them. I always watched them when i saw they were on. I love watching the Home and Garden Network especially when I was trying to get ideas on how to change things in my house etc. Those home make over shows... loved them... Flip This HOuse... yep. to see what they would go through.. sometimes I didn't like what they did, but then again sometimes I loved it. I never could get into American Idol. I watched the first version back over a decade ago that was hosted by that guy ... I think Ed MacMahan. (I probably spelled that wrong) But anyway, that was enough for me. I will say... that American Idol did put out some pretty good singers. I just can't stand that one guy who used to put everyone down. He's just one of those guys I'd like to make sure his seat has wheels on the legs so that I can roll him out of there the instant he condemns the first person. Like my mother used to tell me... "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." Appearantly his mom never told him that. Cooking shows... I discovered Paula Dean. I never knew who she was before I had people keep asking me where her cookware was located. I mean, I had this bewildered look on my face thinking they wanted some lady's pots and pans. Of course eventually I was clued in. THen about a month ago, I was sitting here flipping channels and caught her 30 minute show. WOW! I want her cookbook!!!! She makes cooking look easy. Things I have tried so far turned out the way they were supposed to. That is a rarity. I love her show I just can't figure out when it's on to make sure I can watch it every time.

OH NO!
Paula Dean? Fun woman to watch but everything she makes if filled with Butter! I am not a Butter person. I use Olivio in almost all of my cooking unless it is something that just can not be made with it such as the Biscotti I made for the Holidays... Those take a pound of sweet butter for every batch made.
Unfortunately Paula Dean came clean that she has Type 2 Diabetes. That is from food normally. She has known about it for about 3 years even though it has just recently been reported.
I remember when the Galloping Gourmet show made all of this fantastic food back about 40 years ago, then his wife became ill from heart disease and then he completely stopped making rich french foods all with heavy sauces.
He did come back decades later with a healthy cooking show, but alas, no one wanted to watch that kind of cooking show in the 80's and now he would be just too old for anyone to really care.
Now give me reruns of Julia Child and I am a very happy owl....
And for my cookware, nothing beats the All Clad and I have T-Fal for the Nonstick pans... But it is the All Clad that I use every day.. Same with my Calfalon non stick baking pans...
I do want to try this new ceramic frying pan that I saw recently. It is not too expensive so even if it does not cook well, I can always give it to someone who might like it.

Oh yes... I know that Paula Dean went public about being a diabetic... within the last couple of months, I believe. But what people fail to note that she has been publishing many of her recipies along with a second version which is for a lighter recipe. The thing about it, I would not be cooking ALL of my meals using her recipies... just something occasionally. It's like how I like the Harry Potter cookbook. I've only tried out a few of those recipies and only a couple of times. Not even enough to call occasionally. The thing I like best is WATCHING Paula cook. first she uses things I already have in my cupboard. But most of all she gives out little tid bit helps that make things look so easy. I have learned many things I have been doing wrong. Things the cookbooks don't tell you. For instance, I HATE rolling pie dough. Why? I watched her make home made cheese biscuits (even then she gave her original recipe and a lighter version on her show... what to substitute or do differently) I learned why my pie dough and rolled biscuits always end up so hard and too floury. She barely rolled the dough at all. I think she counted One... two... three.. with a turn each time of the dough. I'm so tired of canned or frozen biscuits, and we do like biscuits and gravy in the mornings sometimes..... (normally I eat cold cereal.) OH and I found out that I have been using the wrong rolling pin all of these years. Mine is one long stick.. no handles but it's contoured to taper off at the ends where the center is the thickest. She said it's better to get a more uniformed flat cookie dough to use a straight flat rolling pin. (my mom always used a drinking glass to roll and to cut the biscuits.) OH and I love to add a bit of cheddar to my scrambled eggs but I hate what it does to my pans. I've been adding it to the eggs while they cook. She said after you are finished cooking the eggs, leave them in the pan and sprinkle over the eggs a bit of the grated cheddar, then quickly cover the pan with a lid. The heat from the eggs will melt the cheese and no mess of cheese in the pan. OH and I have been adding a splash of milk to my eggs when she said don't.... to add a tiny bit of water and it will turn out much better. She knew I'd squinch my eyes at that.. but I tried it and she was right. This is so cool! So it's more her methods and tips I'm picking up on. Still, I get so caught up in watching that I don't write anything down to know what the ingredients are. That is why I want her cookbook. ;D As for me, I'll confess... I am a butter fan. Always have been. I remember being a little girl getting into trouble because my mother would find little finger prints in the butter bowl. Well, for that matter, what I call butter is really Parkay. It has zero trans fats and Omega cholestrol. Made with nonfat real milk. It's supposed to be better for the heart than real butter. There are very few recipies that I have to actually go out and buy real butter for. THen what's left over just sits in my butter tray in the fridge. Yep... I've grown up... no grown up fingerprints.

It stars none other than Jason Isaacs...
Our very own Lucius Malfoy!

Lol...I hadn't checked this thread on a while, and tuned to "Awake" last night, and had no idea it starred Jason Isaacs! Without the English accent...which was strange... I hope they re- air the pilot...I couldn't really watch it, since I have to write progress reports...it's that time of year again!

ooohhh I missed a lot!! I watch the view sometimes but It's not my favorite talk show. None of them are. ever since Oprah ended hers, I've been in Neverland. No, I don't get OWN on my cable line up.
Ok this is kind of a poll.
which show do you think is better? Doctor Who or the Star trek franchise? (Yes I've seen ALL the ST episodes but not all of the DW stuff)
Me? I cast my vote for Doctor Who. It keeps getting weirder and weirder. I LOVE it!!!
got to go!!
edited on May 10th to add---
Ok looks like no one wanted to take my poll. BORING!!!
I've just gotten SHER locked again. I'll betcha some of you know what I'm talking about, so if you DON"T, know, I'll be glad to tell you. HINT---it started on May 6th, on PBS here in the states. I LOVE IT!!!!

Watched the final episode of SMASH last night and boy it did not disapoint in the least..
Can hardly wait for next seasons shows...
How Jenn got me hooked on that show, I will never know but boy it was a fun ride...
Now sometime this week, I have to watch the final episode of Once upon a time that I have on DVR as well as the final of Desperate Housewives.
OK, and Dancing with the Stars too.. Yep, I got suckered into watching and getting hooked on all sorts of garbage TV but it is a bunch of good clean fun stuff. I am not into those Detective shows or the Hospital shows and to be honest with you, I am a bit lost on Monday nights without my Monday night Football.
If it were not for the New York Ranger, I would be out of luck for watching any of my teams of late.. The rest are doing poorly already.. Just think of my NY Yankees.. Come on boys get it together!

I have been watching Smash too, I have every other Monday off so have seen about every other one. I agree I thought the last one was really good. The songs are great and I heard they're going to have the Smash soundtrack in stores too. My team is the Boston Redsox Duddahs-they aren't doing too great either!
