I really did enjoy all the theory threads that would pop up after every book. They were great fun to read and think about and there was always that one crazy one that you'd think was far-fetched, but once you actually thought about it, made some sense.
Years ago I was set on figuring out who James Potters's parents were. When JKR released her drawing of the Black Family Tree, I was so sure that Charlus Potter and Dorea Black's only son was James Potter. I posted the theory and actually enjoyed the back and forth discussion about it. I still stuck with that theory, right up until a few weeks ago, when Pottermore was re-released and info about James Potter's parents were revealed.

Speaking of Cardman, I only knew him through the 1 Mill for DH thread. He was one of the original supporters of the idea and would pop in every so often to contribute.
He even shared a screenshot of the One Million for the Prisoner of Azkaban thread that actually reached 1 million posts. I might still have that somewhere...

I think a lot of the million threads were done by the time I got there, I would have loved to see one that reached a million. That's why I was so thrilled when one was started here, I had always wanted to be part of one of those.

Me too Fangsfan, I remember seeing the OOTP and HBP ones and thinking that they needed a DH one. I didn't post too much on those ones.
I think the OOTP one got up to 55,000+ posts and the HBP one to 12,000. Very good considering the wb boards were slowing down.

We spoke of all the WB smileys earlier, do you remember the little snowman one they had? I can just picture it, would be perfect for this time of year.

If you are referring to the one over at the Book series board, that was him under a different SN who basically made over half of those post to a million. I remember those days so clearly except there was some girl to whom he would pass the torch to (when he finally went to bed each night) where SHE would pick up posting nonstop until he woke up and took back over. I remember my bad attitude got in there.... Yes confession time on my part- it caused me to create my "Toad-Lady" SN (Umbridge) to go in there and fuss at them. Back THEN, I always was bugged by the fact that thread was placed on the "BOOK DISCUSSION board" instead of the General board. I mean most of those posts were not even discussions. He'd post an image that had nothing at all to do with Harry Potter JUST for the post count. I mean, what does Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck have to do with Harry Potter? It was not until he was posting Egyptian images that HE absolutely had no idea what they were, (sex objects that they used to help with fertility.) I called in the Mods to TRY to put a stop to it. They came in and deleted hundreds of non potter related posts that I had tagged... but the count remained the same.. I think.
YOUR Millionare thread is much more productive and fun to post on. It's ALL Harry Potter related. Even if your discussions EVER stray, it's not going to be 80 to 90 percent of the entire thread. UGH. I will admit that I had words with Cardman back the. We ended up being good friends. *sighs* I did tell him that that was me as the old Toad-Lady too. SO he knows all. I really needed to chill out. Oh well. I know many here miss him. I do too, from time to time. He did have a way with some of the games like Scarabble Harry Potter style... oh and remember "Jo-pardy?" LOL! He gave me all of the tiles and images he used for all of those games. I still have them all! I just don't know how to set them up so we can play them here. He gave me permission to for here. Ugh. *sighs* Those were the days.

Nope, you even played the cool games that he put up on that thread over at the book series board. But really, as long as he was promoting people having Potter fun... why not?!!! See that was the one part of that thread I think was the best part... when all of the people would gather in and play some sort of game on there. It was always on topic.

You know, I have those smileys. I thought I saved them to my p.bucket/TP and tucked the codes away on my other sites (test site) but I can't seem to find them.
SO, I'm off to find my thumb drive where I saved all Harry Potter stuff to.
Be back in a bit.

Yes it was the one on the Book Series thread, One Million for the Prisoner of Azkaban. I don't know if I actually contributed any posts to that count, I lurked on the boards most of the time back then. It was cool to see though. That's one of the things I didn't want happening when I started the DH version. We could easily have a higher number of posts by just posting random things, but I think the meaningful posts we all make (and the discussions that follow) make the entire experience much better and more interesting.

Yeah, he was so proud of the POA one. He showed that screen shot that he made of that one several times. LOL. I can't remember though, if he said that he had that one over at the Book Series board or if it was in General. Maybe Duddahs knows? I really had left the WB along with my first role play group during the time that movie came out. Besides I was over at the Slytherin boards in my early days. I would not have even noticed it back then. Hey... maybe later I'll EDIT to put in the codes ON that post I made above to those smiley's so anyone could use them.... OR I could add them on the smiley thread I made years ago and only just now found where I stashed them the other day when I made the site map. Maybe I'll do both. Glad you guys liked seeing those old familiar faces. ... Hey, here's to show that I'm really getting ready to get some posts going for this next spree... I have in the COS movie now to refreshen my memory. Love that film. This evening I'm planning (keep in mind that my plans always seem to fall through) to take family out to go Christmas light looking. We heard that we have one family in our town who's gone all out. They somehow have it to where you can tune in on your car radio to play music that the light display will flash in sync to that music. Guess it's time to go find out. Plus I'd like to go to Hot Springs, they have a HUGE town display that you can walk around in. It looked beautiful from the news crew's view. SO... I know part of today will be spent away from the house. Still, this plan to go do this might be shot due to the fact half of my family didn't go to bed tonight until nearly 4am...

Right now I'm doing a surprise for our site, so I can't really get to finding that thumbdrive at this moment. YOu know how that is when you put things in a safe place so you won't lose them, only for you to forget where that safe place is? UGH! I have FOUR very important thumb drives all too safe to find. LOL!
OK.... Why I quoted your post.... I know you were over at the WB in a different part of the site where others from HERE were regulars as well. Were you, or did you happen to safe any images of any kind/sort from over there? I'm sure this thread would love seeing any at all. If not, oh well. That was a while back anyway.
