This is a thread unlike any that I remember seeing, reading or contributing to. I wish to create this thread in order we allow ourselves to post a thought, a moment in time, a scene or simply an impression about any particular thing from the WB Harry Potter movie series. For Duddahs, there are so many moments, so many feelings, so many memories, tears, terrors and yes even deep regrets that occurred during the decade plus since the very first movie adaption of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's/Sorcerers Stone was first released. Here is one of the most painful moments for Duddahs from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It broke Duddahs heart along with that of Dudespup's when we finally realized that the original Albus Dumbledore was indeed never going to return, even by the use of magic.

I agree, I missed the original DD so much, it was never the same. Here's one of mine. I remember watching SS for the first time and how much fun it was seeing if the characters on screen matched how I saw them in my mind. I remember being especially delighted with the actors who played Snape and McGonagall. The movies weren't perfect but I did think some of the casting was wonderful.

Interesting thread Duddahs. I remember watching the end credits of DH 2 in theaters, the night it premiered, and feeling bitter-sweet about it at the time. I was so happy with the entire film, especially the way the epilogue played out, but on the other hand I knew the series had come to a close, after all these years.
Looking back at it now, I mostly feel happy about that moment, since I know that (mainly through this site) that Harry Potter hasn't ended, at least for me.

In Duddahs mind was a completely different picture of Ron Weasley, especially his height. At this moment in SS, I realized how perfectly cast Rupert Grint actually was. I never looked back and when I have re-read the books, it is from this very image that I see Ron in my mind now;

I think I remember reading JKR say something similar-she said that since the movies started she pictured Rupert Grint when she thought of Ron.

I remember reading about the Quidditch games and then the first time I saw them depicted in the movies-it really brought to life how exciting that game was.

I'm kind of an old movie buff. So I loved the scene with Grawp and Hermione which seems to be a tribute to the old King Kong movie. I got a big kick out of that.

The very first time Duddahs witnessed Dudespup get visually excited while watching SS in the theater. Dudespup nearly jumped out of his seat as did all of the others in the theater that night.

Another moment in time for me-the first time they showed Buckbeak. I thought he was beautiful and a lot like I pictured him in my mind. I can see I'm going to have so much to post in this thread...

Harry Potters truest protector in Duddahs opinion. Even more so than Albus Dumbledore and Severus Snape or even Sirius Black. It is the one and only;

Love him and loved getting my first sight of Fang the Boar hound too. I just wanted to put my arms around him and give him a big kiss-Fang I mean(OK, Hagrid too).

Another moment in time-this sounds silly but I loved talking with Grandpa Lovegood about Umbridge's cat plates-Harry thought they were foul but we both loved them. Then when the movie came out-there they were! Cat plates that actually meowed-I got such a kick out of the moviemakers including this small detail.

Aunt Marge was a very confusing character for Duddahs to picture in his mind when he first read the series. The movie character of Aunt Marge surpassed the imagination of this old owl.

Another moment in time for me had to do with Scrimgeour. I had seen him in the movie and not thought too much about it until someone on the HP actors in other movies mentioned he was in Love Actually. That's one of my favorite movies-I hadn't recognized him as Scrimgeour at first! I had to go back and watch it again-they were too such totally different characters. I still so a double take every time I see Scrimgeour now.

Duddahs was watching PoA last night due to being the night owl he is. This moment was so very important to Duddahs and there were many such similar moments in the movie.

I loved that scene too Duddahs and I always liked seeing those little scenes. Have been watching DH 1 today and there are some there too. I like the part where Ron tells Harry they'd be lost without Hermione along "But don't tell her I said that."
