Duddahs received his DVD yesterday but will wait for the weekend to watch it. Can hardly wait to see what they added for special features and what is extended. Hope everyone is having a wonderful day. OH YEAH! The extended ending is only about a minute longer but it will blow your mind. My hubby and I was watching it. Hubby sat through most of it, but had to leave for the last part. He missed ALL of the parts where Leta started explaining her past and to the rest of the movie. He also didn't see the version at the theaters. SO! Then there's my son in his room with his company. I'm in here in the living room alone watching the movie..... I had me a little freak out that sent my cats in two rooms flying. OK enough said. Well except..... If you don't want any spoilers... DON"T listen or watch any comments on TV or the internet. No one will try to keep this quiet, if you don't already know it.

Ah, a few added juicey tidbits but still a very dark and not inspiring film overall.
Duddahs hopes this is just a brige movie and that the remaining films will embrace at least a modicum of joy and fun.

So I got the DVD, and watched it...and didn't see anything different....then realized I needed to download the digital copy to get the extended cut. We did watch the deleted scenes from the disc, but wasn't going to watch the whole movie for the extended cut...I tried going to the end, but it must not be at the very end, because I forwarded to the last scene and saw nothing different. Where can I find the extended ending? Erin

I recommend watching the interview between Ezra Miller and Evanna Lynch...it is heavily suggested that the whole Credence is a Dumbledore thing will be adequately explained... I still haven't had a chance to watch the whole extended cut...though I have watched the deleted scenes...Miss Charlotte...what was the scene that blew your mind? Curious minds want to know... Erin

So, what are peoples thoughts concerning Credence’s heritage and do you think the ship that sank was either the Titanic or the Lusitania? Oooo! I never even thought about that. I love the idea about the Titanic. Here I watch all sorts of documentaries about sunken ships and treasures or historical mysteries about things of this sort back in this era of time. Although I will admit not watching much about the Lusitania. Was it a passenger ship? I caught a couple of days ago about what (I think it was Grindelwauld) if it wasn't him, it was Albus…. I planned to go back and rewind to listen more closely, but I have a full house right now and didn't get a chance to. Sooooo…… I had a new thought about him that I never had before. I'll post it again when I'm more awake in a day or so. So, far, I DO have NO doubt he is a Dumbledore, or else he could not have the baby phoenix come to him. I think some people might think it has to be Fawkes. I think there's a 50/50 chance that it is. Still, there's no way to tell. I feel that Albus wants to find him to keep him from being a danger to himself(Credence) and those around him.... like muggles or anyone Grindelwauld points him at. I honestly don't think there's anything Grindelwauld could say to Credence to make him kill Albus if he thinks Albus is his brother. So there has to be more to the story that we don't know yet. We know that Credence was a "boy" so he was younger than Albus and Grindelwauld. He might be a twin literally a twin of Ariana. Why split them up? OK Maybe he witnessed his sister's attack by the muggle boys, as well as his father killing the muggle boys? Then seeing how this affected his sister this might have made suppress his magic. If he was there for any of this then he'd remember Albus and Grindelwald as well as his mother before her death. Right now... my thoughts say that Grindy's revelation of Credence's real name sounds too close to Ariana's to the point it sounds like a twin brother's name. Just a guess for right now.

Duddahs has a truly fearfully worry that Credence is not Albus Dumbledores brother but may be his nephew. It it cannon that Ariana was attacked by several muggle boys who in tern were killed by the father of Albus, Aberforth and Ariana. Duddahs truly is worried that the attack upon Ariana may have resulted in a pregnancy and the birth of an offspring such as Credence.

Duddahs also watched the interviews but a horrible theory has presented itself to this ole bird. Please read Duddahs recent response to Miss Charlottes recent post for more insight to this troubled feathered friends thoughts.

Duddahs also watched the interviews but a horrible theory has presented itself to this ole bird. Please read Duddahs recent response to Miss Charlottes recent post for more insight to this troubled feathered friends thoughts. I would hope so much that JKR would not go so far as to take this storyline. Honestly, she killed two babies in this last story and tried to have a baby Harry killed at the start of the Potter series. She's often said she's never written her books just toward any particular age group. There's no telling if the might go that route you are referring to.... I just hope not still it's a possibility. ……………………….. My theory ONLY IF Credence really is a Dumbledore.* I think one MAJOR thing we might have to keep in mind, even JKR tells us all, she does have a problem keeping up with dates and times. I mean, even note McGonagall is not supposed to be teaching at the school yet. My earlier thoughts that Credence could possibly be Albus' little brother, can't be after all. I was thinking he could possibly be Ariana's twin, but then ALL of this is messed up. Ages are completely off the charts. I didn't look up this date, but someone said Albus' father went to Azkaban in 1890 and eventually died there. A youtube clip I saw shows Credence's birth record. The date has November 9th 1904. (Right now it's past 2am I'm trying to remember what year the Fantastic Beasts books take place. Isn't this the mid to late 1940's?) IF Credence really is a Dumbledore he has to be either Aberforth's....na. I'm leaning more toward Albus' child. We know that JKR has the theme of the love potions and the child conceived under such conditions... I think of Voldemort. He was extremely dangerous. Although, I believe the only difference with these two, Voldemort could not love, where Credence craves the love of his parents or family. He's still unstable. Credence looks just like the woman who was on the boat. She had to be his mother. Was she fleeing Paris to America because of shame of what she did? Did she not want Albus to find out she had a child? Surely he didn't reject her so she ran? I wonder if my line of thinking is correct, how this might have gone? This would be a HUGE reason why Albus would want someone on HIS behalf to go find Credence. To find him and bring him to him safely. Just imagine how powerful a child of Albus' could be. WOW. Then to be untrained, unloved, out in the world and to have an obscurus feeding off this child? No wonder Grindelwald believes Credence is the only one who can kill Albus. Turn the power of a Dumbledore into anger, then send him to home saying, there's your father who rejected you at birth. (disclaimer. image from: Pottermore Love Potion) Attachments:

Very interesting thoughts Miss Charlotte.
I believe the series is actually taking place post WWI and pre WWII. Duddahs also believes the Grindelwald Character is based on the rise of Adolf Hitler late 1920’s to mid 1930’s.
What has swirled around in Duddahs head and it may be way off base is a theory that Credence may have been conceived by Ariana Dumbledore in the attack upon her by the 3 muggle boys.

I might should post this later on one of the new threads.... I love Pickett. I love finding little ones at the stores and then hiding them in my hanging pots in my living room. It's fun to see the look on my guests faces when they notice the bowtruckles peeking out at them.

Big news to share: Apparently Johnny Depp, who plays Gellert Grindelwald, has been asked to resign from his role, amidst legal battles.
Just seen this news pop up on Tv right now, don't know too many details about it however. If it is true, I wonder who they are going to cast as his replacement.

I saw the same. I wish we knew the true story. From what I gather, he lost a libel suit against a newspaper in the UK, that he accused of unjustly calling him a "wife beater" But from what I can gather from all the stories, it seems he may be a victim? If that's the case, I wish WB had waited on this....but of course, if he is to blame, I wouldn't want him in the cast, either.
I liked his Grindelwald.

I think Mads will make an excellent Grindelwald...just the way they went about this rubs me the wrong way.
I see a lot of people blaming JKR for this...I don't think she had a say, though.

Ooo. I haven't heard anything about the newspaper lawsuit. Or anything about all of these updates. Thanks for posting. Although, When he was going through his divorce she said it was because of his abuse. I know it was all over the news long before the first Newt Scamander film was cast. When the film came out fans were in outrage that Johnny Depp was part of the Potterverse from the beginning. I was just sad because I am a Pirates of the Carribean fan. However, I'm glad she's doing well when she played in Aquaman. I loved that movie too.
Wasn't Mads in Lord of the Rings as the guy who turned into the Bear? I'm almost positive he played the bad guy in Doctor Strange. It's going to be hard to get used to a new Grindelwald. They could just have him take off a Johnny mask and THIS time it be the real McCoy. I'm going to go check out that link to check out what happened that i missed.
thanks guys.

From everything I've read, SHE was actually the abuser, and apparently there is video proof. A lot of people feel that JD ;may have defended himself when necessary, but even she said he just walks away. None of us really know, of course, but it feels wrong that WB would ask JD to leave a movie, but not ask Amber Heard the same thing...especially when it seems that SHE isn't the victim here...THAT'S what rubs me the wrong way...the huge double standard.
I also love PotC...he was amazing in that role!

Ooo Really? I honestly don't keep up with anything. I love Johnny Depp and have watched most of his movies. Some are just too far out there for me. LOL! But that's ok. I love strange things/films. LOL. When it comes to these gossip columns I try to turn the channel. I see them all like Rita Skeeter, or the Daily Prophet. Who can you trust? Still, I would trust what NZ posted about the recast. I agree with you too, it's not like Johnny was convicted or broke his contract with WB, they should not have recast. Also, I seriously doubt that JKR had anything to do with this. It seems like the world has gone nuts these days.
