Duddahs knows that Newt got his bow trickle back but did he ever recover the niffler that was hiding behind the picture on the wall of the destroyed apartment?

Duddahs wonders how many of the Loungers have watched the movie more than once and what did you discover on the additional views?

That would be so sad especially since it's the beginning of a series of films. Ill comment more later. I'm on my phone right now. It's a bit hard to type.

While rewatching Fantastic Beasts last night, Duddahs noticed a little something that he had not noticed before. When Perceval Graves initially walks on screen his face makes an odd motion from the chin down. Duddahs recognized it as the same facial contortion made when characters from the Harry Potter movies would take the Polyjuice potion.
Also did anyone else recognize his nearly identical speech pattern that was used by Dudley Dursley while in the park scene of Order of the Phoenix?

Duddahs is planning on yet another viewing while he is at Shell Cottage starting next week. His eyes are now trained on the hidden Easter Eggs.

Just walked in my bedroom, where my husband fell asleep while watching Fantastic Beasts, and it was at the end of the movie. I just love the last 30 seconds...when Queenie smiles at Jacob, and he slowly smiles back...I smile every time, too!

In the scene after Tina turns in the briefcase, and Graves is questioning Newt, Newt tries to tell him that Tina is innocent. Graves responds with "She used the same sentence". I guess I'm just not paying very good attention, but what sentence is he talking about?

Duddahs is so very intrigued as how Johnny Depp will develop the Grindlwald character.

Me too! I expect a lot from the Grindelwald character...I tend to like Johnny Depp's performances, when his character isn't so very strange. I think he might be good at evil...

I guess I'm just not paying very good attention, but what sentence is he talking about? Erin I think he was talking about that they were both going to "get" the same sentence of death. I had to think about it too at because at first it didn't make sense to me either. She really didn't do anything to break the law. She was the one who turned Newt in. But now she was a witness to the conversation where Newt realized Graves was asking/wanting to know if he could "use" the... um.... oh the dangerous black cloud thing. Graves had to get rid of her quietly too. This is the only thing that made sense to me. You know, earlier this morning, I was thinking of what I wanted to do today. I had put my foot down and told hubby, NO appointments today or the rest of this week! NO people coming over either! I want it quiet! I want rest! So, this morning I was thinking..... what a great thing to do? ? Watching Newt sometime today.

I'm going to be back in a few minutes, I just want to post this first. I've heard there is a trailer for the next Fantastic Beasts movie, but I can't seem to find a real movie trailer. I think I'm not looking in the right place. Anyway, I'd like to see about putting announcements like this, up on the HOME or front page of the site, but for right now, I'm putting this here at the Head table since this thread is our main meeting place to talk about anything.... and again on the Fantastic Beasts thread. ( I'll backread your posts in a few minutes. I didn't realize it was already after lunch. I need to go tent to son. I know he's got to be hungry by now. Eeek. ) Here's what I found right now: You have to hit full screen to get the REAL affects. www.fantasticbeasts.com/#/trailerwww.fantasticbeasts.com/#/trailerA quote from Mugglenet.com says:

Erin I finally got around to opening up the screenplay...I heard the line wrong...he says "receives"...not "used"...not sure how I got that mixed up...but now it makes much more sense!!! Erin

rin68nyr I was thinking about opening up that book for another go through just the other day, well probably after Christmastime is over. I'm ready to settle in for another good read. I miss reading from the Potter-world like the old days.

Yes Fangsfan1, JKR said there are five installments to this series. It almost sounds as if she has another series in the back of her mind.
