If any of you ever go to www.ew.com (Entertainment Weekly) there is all kinds of info on the movie and some pix, just thought I'd mention it. This is so funny. I received an email that has those very images and this morning, loaded them on TP so to place them here. I'll post those here after I'm finished with my spree. Yes, I'm trying to get here in between muggle tasks.
You and I have the same idea. OH and I"ll check out YOUR link to see if there are more that I didn't get. I think I have about 7 or 8 of them. OH and PLEASE DO post links to anything you find. I usually hope that one of the links I placed here in the side bar (over to the left) might catch people's eye so we can point out new stuff we all might want to know about upcoming news. I can't wait for this movie to come out. It looks to be such fun. Thanks soooooo much fangsfan for thinking of us.

Well, I think if I remember the caption correctly, the girl in the last one is Newt's wife Porpintina. (I probably have that spelled wrong.  ) (I tried to set up a Twitter account about a year ago, but never could figure out how to use it. So, I get these random "emails" of SOME things I'm actually interested in.  This one was sent to me via the email I found yesterday.) I saw David Yates in one of these... can't see it now. Oh well. Anyway, what I think I will like best is that JKR is doing the screenwriting. YAY! Go JKR!!!! |

Ooo! I'm hoping to be able to look around to find out more to update. I can't wait. I did see the actor chosen to play Newt is playing in a new movie coming to theaters soon. I plays period films quite well. (That's it... he played Steven Hawking too. Good movie. I know one thing I never realized, is that his voice box thingy has an American accent. I didn't realize he was not an American. ) |

Thanks Erin for your great find and also for sharing it with us.
What do you guys think those black things are? At first I thought it might just be cobblestone roads, like they have in Europe. I change my mind. They have to be the Hebridean (Black) dragon scales.
OH and it seems there's ANOTHER Harry Potter name I've been saying wrong all of this time. LOL. I've always pronounced it as SCAMander not ScaMANder.
I LOVE the idea that he brought them over here in his case. Gives more of an explaination of why he's over here doing his work and not over there. I always thought he was supposed to travel the world anyway, but I thought it was to find and discover. Looks like someone might be chasing him or that he's on the run. I love the set up. This is going to be a really fun movie series. I can't wait.
Funny, recently I was thinking how sad it was that we really don't have any good movies to get excited to see come to theaters. The Hobbit is done and all parts out for purchase/rent. I love the Marvel films but not too excited about the next ones to come. I really am on the line to see Ragnarok come to pass in the Thor film line. Wait... I DO want to see the new Star Wars movie, but I'd have to go alone. Ugh. At least we have Facebook to mark the calendar for. November 2016!!!!! Woo Hooo! |

Well, I'm beat. Time to hit the sack. I have everything set up the way it's supposed to be and even updated the plugin that Wormo made for us. All I can think of is maybe TP must have a glitch tonight. I'll work on this again in the morning. I'll delete this post then too.

I was pronouncing Scamander the way you did Miss C. I have a theory that however I think a name should be pronounced, pronounce it the other way because I always get it wrong.  |

I really didn't think there was another way to say it. LOL! Hmm?  Makes me wonder who else has a name that could be pronounced in a unique way. LOL. I never was sure how to pronounce Scrimgeour or however it's spelled. I actually saw him in my minds eye very differently than how the movie had him.... more lion like features. I imagined whiskers.

I was looking up different Harry Potter images on google yesterday then wondered if we might have any cameo's in this film? Can you imagine since Albus Dumbledore was a good friend of Newt's if we might get to see a much younger Dumbledore? If I remember correctly, Albus was supposed to be red haired and red beard and sporting a spiffy purple suit when he went to find/meet Tom Riddle at the orphanage. Then THIS film's time era is to take place BEFORE the Tom visit. I think it would be so cool if we do get to see Dumbledore even for a single scene in any of these next three films.

Love the new banner! Spoiler Notice.... The Lumos Maxima incantation at the beginning of the trailer is very POA-like. This had to be done on purpose, I think to identify that this film is part of the Harry Potter universe. Like an homage to the HP series in a way. What do you all think? |

Actually, it IS part of the Harry Potter universe. It's just a few decades before Harry was born. I too thought that right away with the Lumos Maxima scene. I felt like it was a perfect way to start the magic of this first of three films. Oooo! I can't wait! |

Duddahs would love to know if they are going to make a virtual map of the places that will be visited in Magical Beasts.. Duddahs loves New York city so much and is extremely familiar with so much of it's hidden treasures. Even though Duddahs has slowed down over the decades, he still makes major efforts to stay, walk and explore areas that others would easily overlook in Manhattan, even those who live there. I have brought locals to places they never knew existed.

Glad to see Eddie Redmayne is in this. I've heard he's a wonderful actor but never got a chance to see him in anything. Movie sounds great.

Some I'm not really interested in. But the Theory of Everything (Story of Steven Hawking) was pretty good. I never knew he was from England since the talking device Steven uses has an American accent/voice. I also, thought he had Cerebral Palsy like my son, but boy was I way off. No where close.
I think he's going to be pretty good as Newt.
Who'd have thought that Newt was kicked out of Hogwarts for endangering human life while at school. THEN Albus Dumbledore stood up for him. This also makes me wonder if Hagrid might have known/met him back when he was younger. Makes me want to go look up what year Hagrid was born. They seem like they have a lot in common.
It also appears to me that Newt is on the run. Why? Is he smuggling something into the United States that is not supposed to be here? It's obvious that he's going through muggle customs, but that would not mean he's hiding something from the US Magical leaders. Still, it looks like he is.
I'm also trying to identify the creature that looks sort of like an ant eater. Any ideas? Wait... I just rewatched it again and I believe it's a NIFFLER!!!!! One scene shows it's holding a change purse. It's got to be. Oh I'm so excited. |
