Andy the sheepdog has just lost another point in his battle to stay off Santa Paws' Naughty List. Andy loves paper of all kinds, napkins, paper towels, etc. Last night Fangsfan's sis had brought in groceries and unpacked them and forgotten and left a roll of toilet paper on the counter. Andy stood up on the counter, pulled down the toilet paper roll, unwrapped it and proceeded to start eating it. It is a constant struggle for him......

Yes they are adorable. I've seen them before but definitely worth looking at again. It is a goal of mine to learn how to post pix like these on line, I have no idea how to do it.

Duddahs opened a free imgur.com account. Downloads the images from his tablet or laptop, then simply clicks on the image that was already downloaded to his imgur account. On the right side options will show, click on bbc code and it will copy to your mouse, then just paste it to the message here. It really is easier than Duddahs makes it sound once you do it a few times.

Sharing my post on Facebook with you all. And thank you Erin and Duddahs for your kind words.
Andy, our beloved Old English sheepdog, passed away early this morning. We were blessed to have him for 15 years, a very long time for an OES, but no one is ever ready for this. Andy had so many friends and I wanted to let everyone know.

This is a hard thread to post on. Still, I have to share. Back in June and July, when I thought my life was beginning to smoothen out, my hubby brought home one of my daughter's babies. See, my daughter moved out and lives with her boyfriend. I don't want to say too much because it's not such a good situation. Here's one little bit. We finally helped them to find a place to rent (a duplex) but they have 11 cats that they don't want to find homes for. YES ELEVEN CATS. We've been at them since the babies were born to find homes for them while they were little. Long story, it's been a nightmare. They do have less than 11 cats now... I think 7, but I'm not sure if they are telling us the truth. Anyway, we already have three of our own and that's too many indoor cats. Now we have four. This one is like a spider monkey. Black with brown spots. My eyes would cross every time I'd try to look at her. The center of her face is blacked out because the color of her fur. She's skinny as can be (half starved looking). She's about 18 months old. Came to us covered in fleas and it didn't take long before I informed hubby he brought home a cat in heat. He just looked at her and said "Ohhhhhh." "So that's why." Because of the virus in the world, our vet won't let people come into their office except one at a time. It took THREE weeks to get her into surgery. I'm so very glad all is well now. That was the longest three weeks of cat fights that had to be broken up. Oh yeah! I grew up calling these kinds of cats Speckled cats. Hubby grew up calling them a Brennel cat, which I never heard of before him. Daughter knew as well as a friend told me that she's a Black Calico. That's what she is. To me, it looks like someone was eating spaghetti sauce and sneezed it on a black cat. I'll try and post a picture of Sophie tomorrow. She still acts like a spider monkey to me. She loves to run sideways up and down the hallway for what seems like forever. Fangsfan, I miss your Andy too..... truly.

Thank you Miss Charlotte, he is still missed every day in my household. Best of luck with your new kitten-I think you are doing a wonderful thing to give her a home. I still have my cat Duke, he turned 18 on August 31st.

Well, we've had a bit of a pet adventure.... Almost 2 weeks ago, I found out that a cat was living in our cellar (Evidently, Paul found the broken window, took out the glass, and put up some things to temporarily block it...and then forgot about it). I posted the best picture I could get, to different facebook pages for missing pets, and called our animal control officer, who is wonderful in trying to find where lost pets belong. The cat evaded the ACO, but I was able to lure him into our dog crate, and using a rope as a pulley, I was able to keep him in there. He is at least part Maine Coon, and very handsome. We had him in the crate overnight, and then a couple of people who had seen his picture came to see if he was theirs...also no luck. Meanwhile, Aidan is literally IN the cage with the cat, and the cat was not minding it at ALL, and Aidan named him Lion. The ACO put me in touch with a cat rescue, and the woman came to pick him up. She was so nice, and spent some time talking with us while looking over the cat. He was dirty and had ticks...and blood in his urine. She's been communicating with us, and tests came back negative for all the conditions you would want them to, though he did have bladder stones, for which they had to do surgery. He has recovered well, and now needs to be adopted. They offered us first dibs, and we think that Dobby may be ready for another companion. SOOOO...on Friday, we will be picking him up to bring him to our home! Aidan named him Lion because of the mane-looking fur around his face...but of course, I'm equating it with Gryffindor!
Pics to come! Erin

Erin that's such a great story, hope Lion is enjoying his new home!
I discovered a few months ago that a group of chipmunks had been living under my backyard shed. About a month ago, one decided to jump up onto my window sill and watch us while we ate lunch, dinner etc. I felt bad for the little guy and starting to leave a peanut or two out on the sill. Pretty soon, he started joining us daily on the window sill, and wouldn't you know it, showed up at the exact same time each day. I haven't seen him for about a week now, so I'm assuming he's checked in for the winter.

My Dad makes friends with a chipmunk every spring-fall. He doesn't know if it's truly the same chipmunk as the previous year, but he will go and sit on his deck, and the chipmunk will come up and climb up on his knee, and get the peanut! It took some time...but it's so funny! I saw a chipmunk sized picnic table online, and it is the cutest thing! Lion has settled into Aidan's room nicely. He likes anyone, but Aidan is his buddy. He is still having issues with blood in his urine after his surgery, so we're checking in with the vet today, on that. Poor thing must be a bit uncomfortable, even with his meds. We are going to hold off on introducing the cats, though they each know the other is there, until we get his medical issues under control. Right now, they're both curious, and a little wary of each other...through the door. I'm going to try to get a picture on here...Tiny Pic no longer does image hosting...so I'll try something else... ibb.co/BLmydDgibb.co/6PR93x4Looks like you just need to click on them. Erin

Hi guys! 'update on Lion. We contacted the rescue about his ongoing medical issues, and they took him back for a few days to make sure he was okay. They also switched up his meds, and then he came home again. He was much livelier when we took him home the 2nd time! He is playful, but OH, so GENTLE! He lets Aidan pick him up and cuddle with him. If I come in the room and sit down, he'll curl right up with me. He often crawls up and puts his legs over your shoulder, and just snuggles right in. So cute! We've been having the cats trade places, to get used to each other's scent. Lion is wanting to meet Dobby, and keeps trying to go through whatever barrier we have up (closed door...stacked baby gate with a sheet to block visual contact, etc.). He's gotten out a couple of times, and he runs right up to her like he's so glad to see her, but Dobby is not yet ready to accept another cat. At least the worst she's done is hissed at him...she hasn't tried to fight him, and once we get him back on the other side of the barrier, she forgets about it. She doesn't seem stressed, except for when she sees him. I brought him in to meet our vet, and she said it can take a few months before cat's are ready to become friends...though honestly, if it were up to Lion...they'd already be friends!

@erin , I wonder how things are now? My new Sophie cat is no longer skinny, she's just right. Now we hear our two youngest chase each other up and down the house, I feel like I have two little kids in my house again they are so loud when they rough house. I wonder about yours?

Hi Miss C! Things are moving along! We can now leave the 2 cats together, unattended. Lion has learned that Dobby is not quite ready to be pals, but she's now ok with him laying down near her. If that's as far as we get, that's okay with me...but it would be nice if they become pals...I'll give it time.

So nice if they can become friends. I always feel better leaving them when I know they have a buddy to hang out with!
