That would be a hoot! ;D .... OK... I broke down and went and did it. I found myself sitting in the parking lot of Barnes and Noble. I didn't have any particular book on my mind until I rememberd that Magical Beasts book I had been looking for for several years. I looked around a bit... then gave up and just asked someone.. after all my family was waiting for me out in the van. So... they took me to the section... There it was where I ALWAYS go most of the time I go in there... just on the end of the isle facing where I usually look. I was particular... First, I prefer hardback to paperback. BUT I'll be tempted if the paperback is thick and full of good stuff. At least I know where to go look again if I want to try one of the others. I took the only hardback one there. I also wanted for it to be illustrated. YEAH... that is the kid in me. But I have to have quality in the writing as well. This book I'm currently reading is called, " The Mythic Beastiary..... The Illustrated Guide to the World's Most Fantastical Creatures" It has about 250 pages of good stuff. [edited by me: MissCharlotte] So many of the creatures from the HP world... as well as well known creatures that movies and television has capitalized upon is in there. But they have their own information as to details about these creatures. Some I'm glad I've never heard of so I can discover more creatures. Some are barely familiar to me, like I've heard about them a million years ago.

Oh that's sound so cool, bet I would love that book. I"ll bet you would too... Many things that I've read really opened my eyes to other magical creatures that JKR never used this particular information.

Haven't heard anything about JKRs new book...
...but I just finished The Hunger Games trilogy. Disturbing, but very well written, and a page turner. I am very much looking forward to seeing the movie soon!

I wonder about the sources.... If they might should have been quiet and not announced to the public. Hmm? I need to poke my head in on her site... It's been a while since I had been there to see if she posted anything there about this... I think one of you might have said she did... (yep.. I NEED to backread a bit huh?) ;D ............... Hunger Games? I"m so looking forward to seeing that movie. To me, I've seen the trailer for it and it looks like it might be good. Still, now from what you said about the book... I wonder what it will be like? Don't tell! Please? Just let me be surprised. Thanks.

Will do. Just for any of you who come across the name of it.... or at the time it's released... PLEASE remind us here. I'm interested in just flipping through the pages and will make a date just to go do so early on. OH my.... I have bought a stack of books over the past few weeks.... Lots to read. I'll have to make a post soon to say what they are. Funny though... I think out of all of this... I'm more in the mood to just open up Scorerer's Stone once again... Read from cover to cover curled up in a comfy seat with my cats.

Yep.... I've been to the bookstore a couple of times more recently... adding to my book collection so I can read some more whenever I am ready.
SO... What do I do today? I take with me on my outting this evening, my Scorerer's Stone book. I have the first chapter down. This time I have reread it while not trying to look for anything specific. I did it just relaxed and trying to enjoy the book. The first REAL time after I read the final book. WOW... I have forgotten much of the details.
Hmm? OK guys... Should I start a section just to discuss the chapter by chapter comments on each of the books? I know we are not all able to read the books at the same time, due to muggle life getting in the way.. but maybe I can start a section where we can comment on things we forgot during our other readings?.... or things we didn't notice before?
OK... I'll let you guys tell me what you want.
talk to you in the morning!

YAAAAAY! HOnestly, I didn't think she would work on it.. I thought after all of this time, she was wanting to, but the fact she kept procrastinating that it might be a bit more than she actually wanted to do... I'm just amazed she's ACTUALLY going to do one. Thanks for sharing with us your find.... and also I can't wait to go look at her site. Another big YAY!

OK... here is my current list I'm reading all at the same time... DH.... ok I'm listening to it right now as I type this up. So many things I feel I've missed since it's been so long since I sat down with it. The other day I read a few chapters of book one.... Yep... I'm refreshening my old brains to be potterized. Then I posted on one of these threads how I had found an old copy of a used book... copywrited back in 2001. I'm guessing it's one of the first ever written Unauthorized biographies of JKR. So funny... she looks so young on the cover... and since we already know much of what I've read so far.. It makes me wonder how much else this guy got correct and also incorrect. He does in fact keep referring to her by her full name... not realizing that the K is not her own, but added in there. Oh well. It's still an interesting read. I have half of it read so far. OH and it's called, J.K. Rowling The Wizard Behind Harry Potter. It was also on the New York Times Best Selling list back then. Cool. And... here in a few minutes I'm going to be digging out my GOF book as well. research for a fanfic short story I'm working on for here. I rarely get these windows where I know I'm going to be home alone for an extended period of time to where I can actually get my mind DEEP into thought, so I may better create my stories. Wish me luck.

Interested in the GOF story since it's one of my favorites of the series Miss Charlotte, I bet it will be great. I've never heard of that JKR book, but I bet it's interesting. I had been rereading SS but got sidetracked, I definitely need to get back to it again. Also when I was in Texas, they have the greatest book store, I think it's called Book People. They had The Annotated Secret Garden on half price, so I couldn't resist!

I've never read the book but I've seen the movie. Hmm? I have so many classics on my shelf I wonder if I have it? Oh and the discounted books or clearance section is where I go to first.
Which reminds me.... I think I'll go tackle one of my books now. Sorry about my comment about GOF. I kind of lost my train of thought since then. Maybe some time given I'll get it back. I'll still gather my notes first.. that can sometimes reignite the fire of creation.

The last couple of days, I've been curled up with one of the dozen unread Agatha Christie books from my bookshelf. This one is called Endless Night. It's about cursed land by gypsies... This young free spirited guy settles down and gets married to this young heiress. They buy the land knowing of the curse the fortune teller told them about it... warned them to leave and never look back... but instead they buy the land and so far they are having a house built on it. Tonight they should move in. Oh I can't wait. I'll say the girl will kick the bucket in some accident somehow... poor girl.
wanders off to find my warm fuzzy blanket... curls up and reads till I fall asleep.
waves... good night you all.

I've finished my last Agatha Christie book last week. It was a strage ending. I had two people who were to be the killer... the chapter before I had a funny thought that if it were the least likely person, it would be this other guy. I laughed at my thought then continued on with my original number one and two might be's. Then three pages later a new chapter began. Lo and behold it was the far fetched person that just popped into my head before. OH and in a big way too. I didn't seriously think it was him... but it was. SO.... I'm going to crack open my next book by her soon... Elephants Can Remember. This one is definately a Poirot mystery. Yay!
