sorry misscharlotte-- I just found out couple days ago--that date was just a rumour. So I don't think it will premiere in the UK for awhile. It will premiere season five in USA in jan 2013, probably on the syfy channel. . That I know for sure.

Well it's been pretty good so far and looks to have an even better season starting tonight. Woo Hoo! I've been watching a marathon of this show all day long. It's still going on until the season's premiere tonight in a few hours. Funny thing though... I feel so dumb. ALL day they keep having the announcer guy during advertisements for tonights show speaking... He kept saying, "Before there was a boy with glasses or a sacred ring.... " of course they were setting up the wizard Merlin's intro. I feel so dumb because the whole day long, I kept wondering what in the world they were talking about..... "a boy with glasses?" I kept thinking Merlin never wore glasses.  FINALLY I GOT IT! Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings.  |

yeah, there has been marathons on here, too. 2 days running, as far as i know. (last week)

I read the terrible news that after 5 seasons, Merlin is being cancelled by the SyFi channel.

Yeah.... I"m still keeping up with this show. I've been rather busy and keep forgetting to tune in on Friday nights to watch. No worries. I have it DVR'd. I did watch the first episode for this season. I was just telling someone last night, that as soon as I catch up watching all of my Doctor Who's I've recorded, then I'll begin my marathon of this show. I'm just a bit saddened that this show is ending. OH and speaking about Doctor Who... I thought I posted it here.... I guess not. The other day I saw this Merlin, play in one of their episodes. It was so funny to see. Sad though that it was not one of the better written ones. |

I finally got back into Merlin. Never watched it on Syfi.
I have been watching season 2 on DVD from Netflix.
Watched the first 6 episodes so far.
I am also starting Downton Abbey from season 1 from Netflix in between..
Just too much good things to watch!

More than half way through season 3 as of last night... Way to go Dudddahs!  I had the DVR set up to record this show. (First, I'm posting from the recent posts thread) Anyway, I was saddened to see that they seemed to be disappearing from my recorded list. Turns out that I have pretty much reached my limit as to things I've planned to watch then delete. So if they were not locked, they were recorded over by something else I've been planning to watch.  So I only had about 3 shows left. I was wanting to wait until I had a marathon's worth and watch them all at once. My life has been so busy to the point that I totally forgot about it until it was too late... well close to too late. So, I emptied many movies that I don't need and reset my DVR to record the marathon they are having this week. I do have a few more than 3 now. Hopefully, I'll catch up this weekend. I plan to have a chilled out weekend to say the least. Hopefully my marathon will have a good number recorded by the time I'm ready to sit and watch. Cool. However, what is killing me. Things are a bit rough moneywise. For some dumb reason the VA and Social Security have once again denied my hubby his disability increase. He's got our congressman involved because this is simply rediculous. (They say he can work. Reality, he can't sit, stand, walk or lay down for more than 15 minutes at a time without his pain increasing. He has to take a sleeping pill in order to sleep at night. Sometimes that does not work. He was sure they would not deny him since his own specialist/doctor's have increased his percentages due to proof of his claims of pain. He even has another surgery planned within the next few months.) Anyway, money is tight and so we need to cutback on what we have been spending for a while. This means, one will be a smaller TV package. No more of my TWO favorite channels. The ones I watch most are BBC America and Animal Planet. (Merlin, Doctor Who, My Cat FromHell, Must Love Cats, Top Gear, Graham Norton Show, Too Cute) Merlin is on BBC America. I'm either going to miss this one end or see if it's on Syfy channel. Thank goodness I'll get to keep Once Upon A Time, but that one's season finale is on Sunday. I'll also get to keep Survivor... but that one's also going to wrap up on Sunday. And then Game of Thrones, which is just getting going. We are planning to keep that one package since it's half price right now. OH MY.... Sorry for rambling.  |

Watched the first four episodes of season 4 this weekend.
Miss Charlotte, I could not help but think of you at the end of episode 4 of season 4.
If anyone is still watching this series as Duddahs is, he will not give away the ending of that most enjoyable episode.

This morning I just watched the last two episodes. Without giving anything away, I'll have to say they were the best of the series. I missed some of the episodes where the new Mordrid came to be a regular.... but since I've caught the last several ones... I was not so lost watching the ones I did today. WOW.... So Powerful. YOu are gonna love them too.

i haven't seen any of the new ones, which is a shame. i haven't seen anything on space channel, so not sure if they cancelled it. at my new place, i just have basic cable and no space channel. i'll have to buy the DVDs.

Oh JB... It is such a shame but the BBC did cancel Merlin at the completion of season 5. I am right now waiting for the last disc of 4 episodes from Season 4 to arrive from Netflix.. It will say, Netflix has been great for this ole bird.. His chickadee Jenn loves watching Merlin with him.. We both love the Dragon so much and she has a crush on Arthur..
