The movie I was watching just went off. I thought I had another all set up and ready to watch but the channel didn't change. Here's to show how lazy I am, I decided to watch the next one on. I totally forgot that Molly Weasley played in a movie with Helen Mirren called, Calendar Girls. I have not seen this one in years. Actually, it's pretty good. *snickers* I ought to go look up the trailer just to post it here. This is an outstanding movie Miss Charlotte. I remember it so well because one of our local favorite restaurants is actually a Tea Room where we can enjoy High Tea lunches complete with the Sandwiches and then the biscuits and clotted cream (though Duddahs can not eat the Cream). Took Mom to Mother's Day there and they had the best Salmon and Caviar Scrambled Eggs with fresh cream cheese and spring onions. Inside the Rest Rooms, the owner has an image over the toilet of one of the original Calender Ladies, she is naked with a large sun flower over her private's and she is pouring a pot of Tea in her brightly lit English Kitchen. Below this is a little sign that states "We aim to please, so you aim too please."

Oh I've seen this movie back when it first came out. I also forgot to add in there, that the guy who plays Aberforth Dumbledore also plays Helen Mirren's character's hubby. So, there are two HP characters in this. I loved this film when I first saw it too. Such fun. And to think it was based on a true story.

While at Shell Cottage, Duddahs rented and absolutely LOVED the movie "Quartet".
It stars Dame Maggie Smith, our very own Professor Minerva McGonagall, Michael Gambon, Professor Albus Dumbledore 2, Michael Byrne who played Gellert Grindelwald, Luke Newberry who played Teddy Lupin.
Duddahs strongly recommends this movie..

I hate to give things away, but let me give you a little outline;
It is based on a retirement home for Musical Artists who are in need of financial living assistance.
The ego's and travails that occurred during their careers come to roost when they are then living together under one roof.
If you love Dame Maggie Smith, you will find her at her finest in this movie once more.

I had no idea the actors who played Gellert Grindelwald and Teddy Lupin were in it too! I think I definitely need to check it out now too. It looks excellent from the previews I saw and what Duddahs said about it.

It always brings a smile to my face when that happens.

Back in his early days, I fell in love with him when he played in Dracula. I know it's a weird movie, but I really liked it. So I went out and tried to rent many things with him in it, to see if it was the role or the actor I liked most. I LOVED him even more in Immortal Beloved... the story about Beethoven's life and love. But some of his other stuff sort of just left a sour taste in my mouth... ew. And believe it or not, I am one who did not think he'd make a good Sirius Black. I'm glad he took it. I like him better as Sirius than I do as Commissioner Gordon... but he's OK in Batman too. ... I went to the movies this afternoon. We loved the first movie called RED. It's hilarious! So when RED 2 hit theaters today, we went to see it. Well, to my surprise it was funny to see Lupin riding on a motorbike. He was a bad guy named Toad. I laughed my butt off at his part. The interrogation scene cracked me up.

I had forgotten that I had purchased a few BluRay movies while on vacation earlier this month.
One of the movies was called The Reader. A tremendous movie starring Kate Winslet and Lord Voldemort himself, Ralph Fienes.
Duddahs highly recommends this movie if you have not seen it yet. It was made back in 2008.

I just read that Alan Rickman plays Ronald Reagan in the movie The Butler that's out now. Professor Snape in the White House! Oh you are kidding right? You know.. I've been wondering about him for some time now. It seems like ever since the Potter movies have wrapped up, we are now seeing so many other projects our beloved actors and actress' have moved on to take part of. NOTHING from Alan. He's such a great actor in my opinion I wondered why? For a while there I was scared that he was going to be forever associated with Snape that this might be hurting the rest of his career. Yet, we see Maggie Smith in tons of things since then. I've heard of many of the other projects that the trio has played in, but never see them out over here to watch. This also makes me wonder since they might not be American films that we are not going to see them out over here. I am only guessing what is going on here. Last I heard was over at the Leaky Cauldron where Alan was shooting a film where he's a singer or something. He's grown his hair out long and shaggy... or it's a wig. Anyway, the shots I've seen have him sitting on a stool on stage with a microphone in hand and an overhead spotlight shining down on him. Whatever happened to that movie? And I've not seen the one that Emma Watson was shooting a long time ago where she's playing some troubled teen.. the shots show her with tattoos and skimpy clothing like she must have been some girl living on the streets. I LOVED Perks of Being a Wallflower. It made me cry in fact. But this is an entirely different film. I've only seen Dan have ONE movie come out that I can recall. LOVED and bought the Woman in Black movie. You guys all know how much I love spooky films and this is a classic from my point of view. And I've never heard of this one... The Butler? Is it really playing now? I've got to go check it out. The last time I saw Rickman up on the big screen, other than the Potter films was when he played the Sherriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood. (ok... that's it. I've got to add in my favorite drooling icon here to the listing.)

Yes, I think it's based on a true story about a butler who was in the White House under several different presidents. Oprah Winfrey plays the butler's wife. I'm pretty sure I heard Dan R is in a new movie this fall, can't remember for sure what it's about though. The first movie I ever saw AR in he was a lot younger, one of those period pictures, maybe Sense and Sensibiity? Emma Thompson was in it too I think. Very droolicious Miss C(AR that is)!

That he is. So soft spoken too. I'll have to say the first movie I saw him in was not one that was good to catch the ladies eye... He played Rasputin on a very very early HBO movie. I tried many years ago to find it on video, with no luck. It's still on my wish list to get though, to add to my AR collection. Still, it was very memorable role to say the least. I do have the DVD of S&S. It's one of those Ahh. movies to die for. The one I heard Dan is in, he wears horns on his head. I don't think I'm going to watch it. I mean... uh.... I think he's trying out his acting chops to see or prove to himself that he can do anything he puts his mind to. I hope he settles down in a few certain directions, and not all scattered about like that. This is a bit much as far as I'm concerned. LOL. Poor guy. He does not have anything to prove to the rest of the world.. my goodness, that kid can act, there's no doubt about it. Here's do Dan.
