I am wondering what different formats others have with the EA Harry Potter Games and what the differences in those platforms might be..
I have all of my games on PC...

Ok... showing my ignorance here...
I've notice there are many different formats for the Harry Potter Lego's game... I've been thinking about getting that one on PS2.. Since I don't really have any newer gaming systems... not so say that with Christmas comming.. what I might get.
Still, yes.. what way to play the HP games do you guys like best?

I have SS, COS, and POA for Gameboy Advance, POA, and GOF for Gamecube, COS for XBOX, and OOTP and HBP for XBOX 360.
I also have Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup for Gamecube.
I find, naturally, that the graphics are better on XBOX 360 as opposed to the other consoles.

i know the graphics and gameplay are different for each of the formats, at least in some of the games. i know for certain that the PC is different from playstation and PS2.
i have philosopher's stone for the PC (wish i had it for playstation, it's extremely rare and it has been for years. there are only certain games i will play on PC, i hate using the keyboard for gaming.)
i have philosopher's stone for the PC, CoS, PoA, OoTP and HBP for the PS2. my fave HP games are OoTP, HBP and lego HP

I have all the games for PS2... favorite so far is COS. I remember the tiny thrill I got the first time I flew around Hogwarts on a broom. That was so cool! And the mini games added lots of punch to the game play.
I prefer console play... I still have my old Nintendo and N64 consoles! (Loyal Zelda fan here ...have Link, will travel. Woot!)

I have everything on wii...I don't know any other systems, but I LOVE the wii. In addition to HP Lego, we have the EA Half Blood Prince. That's fun, too. I love that you can stand there and use the remote like a wand..you have to move it certain ways to cast certain spells...and you have to put things into potions, stir them and fan the flames to make them hotter....it's a lot of fun! Anyone watching, and not knowing what you're doing would think you're nuts!

Like I had said, all of my EA Harry Potter games are on PC.. Even my Myst game is on PC... I have one of those very first game units, I think it is called and Atari... Have not seen it in decades, it has been in the attic since I moved into this house 21 years ago.
I have to say that CoS is by far my favorite game even if it is less visually exciting, the gaming is great.
My next favorite would have to be Order of the Phoenix... Love creating the swamps!

I am shocked!!! I just happened upon a surprise that got my hopes up then dropped as soon as I tried this out. See... I'm in the process of doing laundry.. then as is my daughter's age.. I can tell her to put all of her dirty clothes in the bathroom hamper but little makes it there... Well, I"m finished with the washing of "clothes"... now for the towels and tons of bedsheets etc.. So today I'm putting away the things that she needs hung in her closet from yesterday's duties.. What do I find? A scary closet that is for certain. I"m frowning... going grrr. I just found she's been collecting toilet paper rolls for ages and hiding them in her closet! The garbage already ran today so now I have this to deal with... So I get down and start pulling all sorts of... out of her closet... Things that have been lost for ages are now found.. Then the reason I am here on THIS thread sort of giving a little rant... I find she has all of her computer games just shoved anywhere. Well about springtime over a year ago.. I remember taking her to a place called Granny's Attic. An antique/second hand shop filled with all sorts of treasures from the past. Well.. I remember she chose two of the Harry Potter EA games.. They were not packaged in the original packages but instead in a clear protective CD box. I have both the Chamber of Secrets and the Sorcerer's Stone EA games that are in spic and span condition.. Now to see if I can play them... (thanks erin )

I am going to have to get myself a Wii one day...
I bought one for J.J. a couple of years ago and he loves it. Said it was so much more fun than his Playstation thing...
See, I am so dumb I do not even know anything about the gaming platforms except I know how much they cost...
That as a Dad, I do well... Pay!

I"m one of these people who tends to want to stick with what I like... something I know well.. Why give up what I like if I have no complaints and want something better. It's the world who wants to keep trying to outdo it's self to the point we have to learn something new and dump what we already were happy with.... Or that is how I see it. As for platforms... I only seen this term recently. I guessed it meant different types of gaming systems.. BOY do I miss Atari! ;D But as a kid we also loved our Intellivision. (I loved playing Pitfall.) But it was a pain to have to hook up a different box thingy every time I wanted to switch to a different game that might not have been with the earlier system.. I Know.. I know... they were put out by different companies... different brands. Now we might get a Wii once they have been around a bit and the price is not so heafty. but by then.. there will be something else around that would be new that bumps the Wii (boy I almost made a typo.. I called it a Wee. ;D ) but the Wii will be bumped off the New list by that time.. Yet I see it sticking around since it's so well liked. I'm almost afraid to try it out for wanting to get it right away. ;D

Miss Charlotte,
Did you ever get your EA Harry Potter SS and CoS to work and what do you think of them if you did?

i wish i had philosopher's stone for the playstation!! (got to love PS2, it's backward compatible) it's extremely rare, i looked for it everywhere some years ago and i'm from a BIG city! i was lucky, though, my best friend's son had it for the PC and he wanted my zelda ocarina of time game, so we traded. tbh, i don't like playing those sorts of games on the PC, i prefer to use a controller rather than the keyboard. i reckon i could probably buy a controller, but i have enough peripherals plugged into my PC ;D

This is really sort've off-topic, but does any here have actually Harry Potter Trading Cards? I used to have a pair, but I can't seem to find them. Are they considered rare or what?
