Ok, so my first question to you all is: What is your favourite part about Winter in the Wizarding World? It can be scenes, ideas, traditions, or anything. Wow.... I had to step away from the computer only to find I've missed a lot! I'll be gone a lot today as well.... appointments in Little Rock, so I hope I can still add to this spree before midnight tonight.... especially since I find that the spree deadline is today.. EEEK. OK... My favourite part about winter in the Wizarding world.....? Hmm? I love the never melting snowballs... I think that was part of the Harry Potter series. I know the other day I was telling my daughter, who didn't remember doing this because she was so young... she wanted to keep her very first snowball so she stuck it in the freezer. I think I threw it out sometime in July. It's just so funny for me to think of someone so young wanting to do such at a thing. I think back then I thought of the magic people in the Potter world could do to preserve the snowball so they would not melt and how this would be very handy.

I think it would be cool if at Hogwarts someone were to have bewitched snowmen to do as the suits of armor's did during Christmastime.... and sing Christmas carols.

Not to worry Miss Charlotte. I've actually been thinking, since it's the holidays and we are all a bit busier than normal, I've decided to extend the post spree another week, right up until Christmas. This way there's no pressure to post before the deadline or anything.

I think if I had to pick one favorite thing about winter at Hogwarts, I know this might sound silly but I think it might be Hermioné's jars of blue fire. I love the idea of having a way to keep warm, even during a power outage. And also you could be outside and enjoy some of the beauty of winter without freezing.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that there was a scene in PS/SS where Fred and George (again) bewitched some snowballs to stay frozen and bounce off Professor Quirrel's head. It would be very handy to freeze snowballs, but they might hurt a bit in snowball fights!

Miss Charlotte, I just love the idea of the caroling snowmen. I'm going to try to come up with more ideas for wizard snowmen now!

Wizard snowmen: My first thought would be they would make them in the image of famous wizards-I would love to see a Merlin snowman!

Then as a joke, you know how instead of cursing they'll say Merlin's beard or Merlin's eyebrows? Í can picture Fred and George making a snowman of just a big white beard-people would ask what it was and they'd say Merlin's Beard!

Wizard snowmen: I'm sure they all probably make snowmen and put an engorgement charm on them to make them tower over everybody.

Wizard snowmen: My house would make a row of snowmen each holding a small ice sculpture of a different letter spelling out HUFFLEPUFF.

Imagine, at every entrance to the school or in every courtyard, a group of jolly snowmen singing wizarding version of Christmas carols. It would make the holidays there even better!

Quiz Master Nz101nz
They could have duels using icycles for swords.

How about Quidditch games with teams made up of bewitched snowmen riding on icycles?

They could have snowmen running their own sweet shop-snowball ice cream cones, icycle lollipops and brittle made from sheets of ice.

Another thing I wonder-do the magical creatures at Hogwarts like the centaurs and the mermaids have special ways of celebrating Christmas?

Haha now I can definitely picture snowmen duels and the snowmen moving around, similar to the massive chess pieces in PS/SS.

Wizard snowmen: Even the way they dress, it would be cool to see the snowmen in wizarding robes, rather than the Muggle clothes we're used to seeing!

Another thing I wonder-do the magical creatures at Hogwarts like the centaurs and the mermaids have special ways of celebrating Christmas? I never thought of the creatures celebrating. Probably the more human-like ones like the centaurs or giants would do something-it'd be interesting to see what though!
