Just peeked back a page... Yep that is my Boots. I miss her so, even if she was a meany cat. From what Erin says, her cats are larger than my Boots was. Boots was 17 pounds and then very furry.

Oh poor C.J. did not realize that we had as much snow as we had!
Last night, he ran out the back door and across the deck and jumped down the two stairs that lead to the back yard so he could do his business in the back bushes.
Well, he jumped out too far and found himself face planted into the side of a 5 foot high snow pile.. The entire back yard has 4+ to 5 feet of snow on it. I have continuously cut out a path for him to walk all the way around the yard perimeter and then back to the deck again.. It is so bizarre though due tot the Holiday lights still strung on the Arborvitae along the back and the spot lights which year round shine on the back row of bushes for affect... The lights are now well below the snows top and it glows from within the snow where they are... It lights up his walk and is so cool looking... He loves to run around and around but had not been prepared to be literally sticking out by his head only from the side of the snow wall!

LOL We had a cat growing up who LOVED the snow! He also liked water...weird cat... anyway, he would go out and bat at the snow, and then chase what went flying, which would kick up more snow....and eventually he would get going so fast, he didn't even bother to move his front paws...he'd just plow through the snow! We do have it on video!

Erin,
C.J.s grandfather was called Rocky and we nicknamed him the Rocket because like your cat, he would go out into the deep snow and plow through it from below the surface. You could follow him by watching the snow flying up into the air..
Rocky's father was named Samtun, He would jump from one hole to the next.. He would hate to get his feet wet or dirty so he would look for where someone had already walked in the snow

LOL, Duddahs. That cat would walk up our very long driveway after a rain, and purposely walk through every puddle. I even carried him around in my neighbor's swimming pool. As long as I didn't actually dunk him, he loved it!

OH you guys.... I'm so glad I have indoor cats. My cat Mattie gets cold so easily to the point she likes to wait until I lay down and pull the covers up. She will crawl under and lay on her side while facing me. Sometimes I won't know she's done this until I wake and open my eyes to see her sleeping face. All I'll see is her face and shoulders out from under the covers. I wonder if she thinks she's a human? LOL. Anyway, I only had one other cat who would crawl under the covers... both would shiver until they get warm. So having my cats out in the snow... well... I don't think you would find yellow snow in my yard from them. They would run from an open door if it's cold out, I'm sure.
Then the dogs we had before... They would run as fast as they could to do their business, then make a bee line straight to the house whenever it snowed.

LOL Miss C. Your cat reminds me of one of the ones we had before. She was an indoor/outdoor cat (they didn't go out much in the winter), but every night, she'd be under the covers with me. I would sleep on my side, and she'd curl up right by my belly...every night. This was the one who cried for me if I was gone for the night. I wish we still had her and her brother...those cats had the most personality...almost human! I love the ones we have now...but they're a little ....umm...duller? Very cute and friendly, and funny...but just not big personalities....they're just BIG! LOL

My Hermione cat used to cry for me when I was not there. I honestly think she might have had some sort of stroke several years ago. I mean, all of the sudden this cat who was so headstrong and never left my side unless I left the house myself. She went nearly overnight to not liking being in a room with anyone else besides me in it. I mean over a year before she would come out of my bedroom. She claimed my bathroom as her own room and she thought we had to ask HER permission before we could go in there. She'd chew us out if we closed the door and she was not in there. Still, all of theseyears later she is skiddish when that was far from how she was once I brought her home from the shelter. Still, she claims my apartment's bedroom as hers. Now for something a bit more up..... Yep.. Mattie... She's a mess. I found in my pantry a bag of Gingerbread flavored Marshmallows. They are in the shape of little gingerbreadmen too. Not the yummiest but still alright. Well, when I opened them originally, I placed the whole bag inside of a ziplock gallon sized bag to keep them fresh. Well, yesterday I found them and I was laying on the floor with my son on a blanket while I slept, woke.. ate a few marshmallows... tended to son... slept some more.. so on and so forth. Well... Last night Mattie found my bag of gingerbread marshmallows. She LOVES marshmallows. This time she stuck her head in the bag and picked one out... (I'm gonna chuck the bag anyway.) Well, she imediately tossed the little brown colored marshmallow up into the air. She played with it all night long. Every time I came across it, it was in a different room or place far from the last time I saw it. Well... apparently she took it into the bathroom and got cat litter on it.. It looks like mush. Then when I got home from work this morning I thought she had an accident outside of the cat box. Then I realized THAT was the marshmallow. Weird cat! I just love her! ;D

My cats are always bouncing around, chasing something (some toy) that they've found in the house. Today I looked, and they were batting around a snitch! We got a couple when we went to the HP exhibition. It's really just a gold styrofoam ball with plastic wings attached. So I can honestly say... "Winky and Dobby were playing quidditch!"

;D Oh that was so funny! I love that Harry Potter connection. My Hermione cat is just as fussy as Hermione in the books... Still, imagining two house elves playing quidditch is much more hilarious. ;D ..... Really, I think I might have lost my mind. Several years ago I had taken a couple of my cats that I had back then to the vet. Turned out that the vet said they had rotten teeth and needed to have surgery to get rid of the bad ones. He said to prevent this, I need to start brushing the cats teeth. I laughed my head off trying to think of anyone who has done this. I know for dogs you do need to give them chew toys and certain dog bones that will take care of that job.. but cats? Well, I have been having a problem with Mattie attacking the same leaf on one of my potted plants.. not to eat but to chew on. So I got to thinking..... I just purchased myself a brand new toothbrush... I had to because Mattie took off with my old one and I was NOT about to wash and use it after that... SO just a few minutes ago I once again had to run her away from that one plant. (note to self... buy squirt gun soon. That is how I train my cats what is a no-no.) Anyway... I sat down on my floor, propped up on my elbows and held out the old toothbrush with both hands in front of me. Mattie went to town... rubbed back and forth then brushed her mouth and whiskers.. Once she had her scent all over it, claiming it for her very own, she went to town chewing. I can't believe I"ve got a cat that likes having her teeth brushed. Makes me wonder if she might be an animagus stuck in the form of a cat.

I sort of remember a television show real hamsters. In one episode one of the hamsters races the wind in a helicopter, and loses. That is all I remember of the show. My magical creature for the day would be a stray baby unicorn. It wandered into my camp site while I was roasting marshmallows. It's been a week now with no sign of its mother, so now I'm getting a little scared for her and it. Besides roasted marshmallows I have no idea what to feed the little tyke. I sure hope I don’t have to change any diapers, because I don’t think they sell that size at the local supermarket.

C.J. just had his nails clipped, his ears cleaned and a full body wash with skin conditioning and he is all hopped up as if he were on some sort of drugs! His eyes look HUGE!

I buy my dogs bones for them to chew on so their teeth stay healthy, but I understand even then it would be better if I brushed my dogs' teeth.

Oh I am a bad, bad person, I do not brush my poor c.j.s teeth. I bought him and his parents and grandfather brushes years ago, but it was just so difficult that I found it easier to just have them cleaned when I bring them in for grooming every other week.

You don't buy him chew toys like those sticks or pig ears? Bones and such do the trick to clean as well. It makes them magically clean. If you guys start using a toothbrush, you HAVE to turn on a video camera... I have GOT to see that. ;D
