Hi, I remember you from the old WB-so nice to have someone from there stop here. That was the first website I ever really posted on so it was also my first experience of having a site close and losing touch with so many good people-it's kind of hard to get used to. So glad to know you're still around and hope you are doing well.

The HP site has TONS of memories for me! I first started going there when I was 11 and I'm 22 now. It was also the first place that I ever posted any of my writing for other people to see. It was such a great place to make friendships and I am so lucky that a lot of the people I met there I am friends with on Facebook! I did a lot of growing up on that website and even though a lot of people gravitated away from there in the last few years, it was still so hard to see it go! I really wanted to get some of my ff's up on here, but I'm so busy with my originals right now that I don't have time. I had wanted to go back and rewrite them because my writing has matured so much, but I don't have the time and don't want to burden anyone with not the best writing. Maybe once I'm done with this WIP I'll be able to spend some time on the ff's.

Duddahs believes that sometimes not altering the original and letting it be read as it was first written is it's truest form and is normally far better than a technically correct version of the same story. We learn and we also forget. We evolve and we change. It is for this reason that your original versions may still possess the innocence of youth which we as adults so cherish but will never have again. Please post the stories as is. I am sure it is no burden and they would give those of us who loved your works of fan fiction a wonderful way to experience some of our own pasts as well. |
