i agree with you, duddahs...rickman's snape wasn't as harsh as the book snape. he was still hard on the gryffindors, harry and neville, in particular. rickman made snape sexy to many a fangirl lol...his voice and the way he moved. snape certainly wasn't sexy in the books!!  he was a very intriguing and interesting character in the books, though. his behaviour was understandable, though, considering his childhood and his poor excuse of parents. not to mention his school career...where he was a target of the marauders. |

I agree with you completely Duddahs! Rickman did make Snape's character a lot more "bearable". I think it goes without saying that he played the role perfectly though. We've discussed before which other actors/actresses would play HP characters well, but I think we were all pretty certain that no one could play Snape's part bettter than Rickman. It's a shame that he wasn't recognized better for his role!

Whoa, lots of chatter since I was here last lol. Then I lost this thread and had to get directions haha I'm awesome. I FINALLY got Word on my laptop so I am hoping to be able to sort through all my documents and actually get some fan fiction up on here!

I'm also going to update how to better navigate around this site. It's been so long since I was new to a proboard site, it's hard to remember what I need to fill you guys in on. I also sent Winky to sort out some of the short stories over on the fanfiction section by authors. We do have them on a single thread... but it was suggested that by author might be handy too. Oh and anyone can start threads here.  |

So reminds me of JKR giving the "reprieve"  Here... I was certain they stayed their hand because of the new movie that was going to come out. I mean... the WB will need a place for the fans to get together and talk about it RIGHT?   They give us the announcement then pull the rug out from under us. Way to go people!  However... we still have to say it was a good long goodbye. We did have the chance to find people we had not seen in ages.... at least for a few minutes there. I guess what I missed is that I was planning on backreading there this evening and tomorrow morning since this past couple of weeks has been a bit much here at home for me to find time to do much of anything even HERE...  Magikalmom started a new thread and I wanted to read it. I didn't get to read a word. UGH! And I didn't get to save Fangsfan's last few pages of Limericks. Phooey. I post over there on that thread more than I did the one she has here.  How weird am I? LOL |
