Love the cheat sheet-I haven't seen any of season 2 yet so had fun seeing what those actors look like. Went to Book a Million today and now they have two Game of Thrones cookbooks out-an official one and an unofficial one. More books for my wishlist.

Cookbooks? I wonder what sort of food they will have in there? Sounds interesting. I don't dare go into another bookstore soon or else I'll have to have something to take home. I'm still working on what I have. But this is so fun.

I"m getting ready to go curl up with the book right now.
I did have a long week, but before the week began, I did get a few more chapters read. Then I went and watched the first two episodes and was surprised just how close it followed the book. Cool!

They do seem to follow them pretty closely. first season...really, to a T. Second season veered a little, but wound up the same at the end of the season, as at the end of the book. Can't wait for season 3! But it will be a while! They can get away with it, because the years really go by fast in the books. So the kids aging really won't be much of an issue.

Yeah, I've noticed that... the series shows the kids being about three years older than what they were in the books. Still, it does not mean much for the storyline.

I think some of the (hem, hem!) romantic scenes might be a little awkward if some of the actors were younger, that's why I figured they changed the ages a little. I am still on my reread with Dance with Dragons and today read where the eyes are the most vulnerable part of a dragon. Deja vu! Didn't they say the same thing in the dragon challenge in GOF?

I think they did, Fangsfan! I'm on A Dance with Dragons, too, but not that far into it, to have gotten to that point. I'm just hoping to get it done so I don't have to renew it yet again!

Fangsfan... Dragons! I can't wait! Erin, I know what you mean.... I honestly have to have it all quiet and ME be wide awake to read something in order for it to sink into my head. If not then I'll read and reread the same page many times. SO... right now, I keep toting my copy of the book with me, just in case I get the time to read it. So... there it is on my table beside the couch, collecting dust.... I have to read some more in it soon so I won't have to go back to the beginning again. I love the book, it's just time to read anything in the past couple of weeks. Too bad, I can watch tv when I'm worn out, it's not that hard to fall asleep watching a show and then to rewind it once I wake up again. I've litterally read several pages of books while I've been asleep and then can't remember where I've left off when I was awake... That is freaky. LOL. ok... tired and rambling. Got to go. I'll post more tomorrow. It's bound to be quiet for me here then. I hope you both are doing fine.

Lol, I keep seeing ads on Facebook for Target that say "winter is coming!" ...and all I can think of is house Stark of Winterfell!

More HP connections with GoT....
Catelyn Stark is the same woman who plays Mrs. granger in DH. Grand Maester Pycelle did the voice of Aragog. Aberforth Dumbledore is going to play Mance Rayder..the King-beyond-the-wall.

Wow, Aberforth is not at all the way I pictured Mance to look. For some reason he kind of reminds me of Robin Hood so I guess I expected him to look that way, just my imagination though I guess. I'm almost through with rereading book five, keep putting it off because I hate to have it end.

I'm really getting into this series. I can't imagine where you are Fangsfan, except for remembering right before DH came out.

Well, Cyrian Hinds doesn't really look like Aberforth...he's a lot younger, for one. We have a while before we know!
By the way, I finished the 5th book. Anxiously awaiting the 6th, even though they've made me mad a few times!

Oh I was just telling someone earlier today that it's the sign of a good writer if they can evoke an extreme emotion from the readers, no matter if they really are happy with the way things turned out or if they make them mad. Then I come in here and see your post. I can't wait till I can find out why. Most likely I'll feel the same as you. LOL.

It seems like early Sunday mornings turn out to be the best time for me to pick up this book and read... Wish me luck! *waves*

My hubby surprised me the other day with the DVD set for season one. Here he does not even like this show.... and of course he's not much for books of most kinds either.

OH I can't believe this. I"ve pretty much torn up my house over and over again all weekend long. I can't seem to figure out where my book went.
