Yeah! Did you get the first book, or more?
Actually, I just finished book 2, and I have the next one on hold for me. There were a few story lines that were different, but have looped back so that they are at the same place at the end of the book, that they were at the end of season 2. I hear that season 3 is the first HALF of book 3.

Well, I went to Walmart and got it there. I didn't see any other for that series. They already had this one marked down a couple of dollars. Really, right now they are pushing the Hunger Games since it's coming out this weekend. I wonder if by the time I get finished with this first book if they might have more of this series available. No matter if they do or don't. They do have them at the book stores I go to. I saw the whole series there the last time I was there. Cool!
So you just finished book two? ok... I might get to begin this one tonight.. Still, it will take me a while. This book is not a small one. LOL. If you will, when you begin to read the next one, let us know what you think so far.
Hey Fangsfan... Where are you at during your reread?

I'm about two thirds through the 4th book with my rereading. The 4th book is a little different because a lot of the main characters like Tyrion and Dany aren't even in it. I didn't know if I'd like it but found I really liked this one as well.

Whoa! PLEASE don't say why you are upset with him... No spoilers, I want to also feel that upset if it's something is supposed to. LOL. BUT just saying what you did, makes me want to hurry up and get there myself.
OH Goodness! I still have not started the first book. Son's keeping my extra busy this weekend.
OH and I was watching a Jackie Chan movie... I think it was Shanghi Nights with Owen Wilson.. and there was that guy who runs the brothel from this show. I've been trying to figure out, is he the guy they call "Little Finger"? I keep hearing about people talking about someone by that name, but not figure out who. LOL.

OK... At least I know who they are referring to when they use that name. That is so mean though. LOL.
Oh and with your comment, it makes me wish I could read faster. At least I know I have something to look forward to that will most likely cause me to have an emotional response... that the story does not eventually get boring. ;D

You can pre-order it now from a few web sites. Sources say it will be released in early 2013.

I don't know if any of you go on the website Westeros.org, but someone has startedd a thread where they're sorting the characters from GOT into Hogwarts houses-Cersei is in Slytherin, Jaime in Gryffindor, etc. It's kind of fun to think about where the SH would place all these people.

I heard from the lady at the video rental place here in town she said that it's most likely due out when the next season begins airing on TV. I am not sure but that might be what??? March next year?
Oh I love that... sorting these characters into Hogwarts houses. I thought I was the only strange person to do that to people on other shows... Sometimes I see people in real life and then think they should be in Slytherin. LOL.
No I've never been to that site. I posted a link earlier on this thread where it has each of the cast members with their character names and pictures. I think now that I've finally begun reading this book that I might have to put it on my favorites. I see what you two are saying, it's really hard to keep track of who is who by just reading. LOL!

Neat! That's funny! Cersei is definitely a snake! Joffrey, too. I think Arya would be in Gryffindor, and Tyrion in Ravenclaw.

I got up early this morning... did a bit of housework and since my house was so quiet, I picked up this book again. I'm only a few chapters into it. YOu guys are right. It seems to be going along very much like the show on HBO. I'm taking a break right now and if my house continues to stay calm, I might can read a chapter or few more. I"m also getting a few more details I might have missed... na. Things they left out. But it's helping me to better understand the characters. COOL!

OH my... I had to come in here and post this. I've been reading this morning. Taking a break for a few before going back at it. Funny, I caught myself hearing the words of dialogue in an old English accent... or one appropriate to the person. How weird is that? LOL.

OK... This is my cheat sheet. It seems like all summer long I've been wanting to do so many things to the point my life needs better organizing for me to do so. So far, I've noticed without realizing it, I formed a pattern. YAY.. I LOVE patterns. I seem to be spending a day doing one or two things for fun in between all of my responsibilities of life. A couple of days ago, I spent time here posting. Another day at another site. Yesterday, I read four and a half comics in my great big book of comics while at a doctor's appointment. Today, I'm reading Game of Thrones. Oh by the way, there is a marathon. It starts tomorrow night. My time, (Central time zone) it runs from 7pm until 2pm on Sunday. 20 episodes in all. I have a handful already recorded, but I'm going to go for the rest. I already have my DVR set to go. Anyhow... as you might have noticed, I'm putting up a cheat sheet. I completely understand why you, Fangsfan, said you needed to reread this book series. It IS hard to keep track of the characters names and such. There is so much going on and so much to remember. I never realized there were so many characters. I've taken to making sure I have the computer nearby, just to visualize a character from the show, once I come across a name I'm not sure about. I love this story... so full of adventure and action. I love the time period. To see the trials and tribulations they go through and how they handle things. I have wondered if it really was much like this in those days. Too often, Hollywood will glamorize the stories written... Of course have the main characters always end up saving the day or at least surviving. This story seems to me more shocking when you don't see that happen. I'm very interested in seeing how Arya comes through and I have yet to get to that part in the book. OK.. I need to stop rambling and get back to reading. Oh, I'm sorry to the members of this site. I know by me posting these images they are stretching the page. It's just easier to post these in bunches than one row at a time. I never realized there were so many people to keep track of. Instead of clicking on their site, I can come here and see the names and the people and say, " OH yeah, I remember that guy." Also, I thought it might help our conversations when referring to a character in a post. Or maybe that is just me. Something else to note: if you click on the link to their site, you can also click on the character's name to get a description of who they are if you were wondering. www.westeros.org/GoT/Characters/i45.TP .com/10dtp53.jpg[/img] i46.TP .com/2wrp3io.jpg[/img] i50.TP .com/t0kwgg.jpg[/img] i50.TP .com/34ytfue.jpg[/img] i49.TP .com/wmjuyd.jpg[/img] i46.TP .com/vmujyv.jpg[/img] i49.TP .com/29b24x3.jpg[/img]
