Oh gosh! This is going to kill me to not be able to tune in next week. This episode was so good. OH yeah... I broke down again last night and tore through my house trying to find my copy of the book. Nope... it's hiding too well from me. SO.... I've spent the whole day out of the house enjoying our 70 degree weather. The first day of sunshine in weeks and another storm front will be here tonight bringing down the temps again. SO.... while I was out I made a point of going to the bookstore to purchase another copy. All they had were these larger versions of the book. I love this. It's much easier to read now that all of the words are not all smooshed in there together. So I guess you know what I'll be doing tonight. I have so far to catch up to where they are on tv. Hmm? come to think about it. Do any of you know where we might could see this besides on HBO? Some sites you can pay to watch some episodes online. I"m just wondering how much that might be or if it's worth it. Erin.... so glad you were able to watch it last night too. It was worth it.

I am so far behind on the tv series, I have the first season but have to buy the second season and watch it! Money is a little tight right now what with vacation and family birthdays but it's on my list. It was a lot of fun with the first season being able to watch one show right after another without having to wait.

I know what you mean. I was only lucky that I was able to purchase the DVD's for season one. Thank goodness for income tax return. Hmm? I wonder. It's been a while since season one came out to buy, I wonder how long until you could purchase/rent season two? I wonder if there is a site out there with that information? To me, season two was the best. If it's out soon, then you could tell us what you think. I know Redbox has pretty much taken over putting many video stores out of business... but we still have one in town.... thank goodness. (knock on wood.) Maybe I'll go look it up online tomorrow, then post here what I find.

I know you can buy both seasons. I know you can rent individual episodes on demand...I can't check how much right now, because we still have free HBO...might I still have it come Sunday??? I'm not sure if you can rent them elsewhere...HBO tends to try to get their revenue through direct sales as much as they can. I doubt you'll see them in Redbox any time soon.

Hmm? So far, I have not noticed any tv series for rent at Redbox, only at my local rental place. They have about half an isle for all of the different series people wish to catch up on what they missed. Erin, I'm not sure what you have. We have Dishnetwork. For us, there is this one channel (103 PREVW) we can tune in to where it tells us all of the free channel previews, and days they are showing for us. Some are free for a month only, but this time HBO (and a few other channels) were only for a three day weekend. I think it we got Epix for about two weeks. Yeah, they like to tease us like that... making us want to upgrade to get HBO just to watch this one show. The little meanies. Oh and thanks about that. I must have had a brainfart last night. I remember holding up seasons one and two deciding on which I wanted to purchase since I could only afford to get one. Maybe by my birthday I will be able to get season two. I still would like to see if they have it for rent at my local rental place. If they have it, it might be in other stores up there in Fang's part of the world. Maybe?

We have Verizon fios. Right now we have all HBO and Cinemax channels free. Not sure how to check how long we will have them, but it's usually just for the weekend...I'm surprised we still have it. HOPING its still around come Sunday!

Verison? That is our cell phone company. LOL. I"ll keep my fingers crossed that you still have it. I think ours ran out at midnight last night. Not sure because I have not turned on the tv just yet this morning. I think one of my favorite scenes was seeing how much the baby dragons have grown and that one went fishing. That was cool. I"m just hoping that what happened to that one guys nipple is not in the books. However, if it is at least this way I'll be prepared to read that.

One cool thing I noticed in this new episode... In the opening sequence, when they show Winterfell, it is full of black smoke.

Wow. I didn't notice that. Here I've watched it a few times already. I wonder if next week's will be like that? OK. I've got a question. As I've mentioned before I"m still on book one, but something I didnt' understand, that guy at the beginning of this episode, whey didn't the white walkers kill him? That one just stood there looking directly at him hiding under that rock, still walked on. I didn't think they were selective but killed everyone. Was it this way in the book too?

Nope...that scene actually takes place at the beginning of book three, and it is a bit different.

Phooey. Right now money is very tight. Still, I could trade one bill for possibly upgrading to HBO package. I've been seeing ads even this evening where we could get it at half price for six months. So I had my hubby contact our Dish service. He said he was told it's 18 dollars more a month than what we are paying that that the half price deal is over. Yeah right. I asked him if he called the particular number that is on the add we keep seeing. He said no. He called the regular number. Maybe I'll catch it on again tomorrow.... better yet, I think I've seen it advertised on last Survivor I've got recorded. Maybe I'll find out tomorrow. 18 dollars is a bit more than what I think should be.

Yeah, and I found out that you can't just rent an episode like I thought. Oh we'll. I'm thinking, if I order it for one month, starting the 1st Sunday in May, I can catch up on past episodes, and watch the the last 5 new episodes, then cancel.

You know, that is a good idea. So the first of May huh? I might try that too. But I have to see how things are going here at that time. I"ve been googling images of season 3 and have already come across several new people for this season. What is killing me are the spoilers I might find image-wise online. Here, I can't help but look.

I would wait until the First Sunday, to ensure that you have it through June 2...if I've figured everything right, June 1would the final episode, so you don't want to cancel until June 2.

Oh I feel so guilty. My hubby knew how much I wanted to keep HBO in order to watch this show. Well, Friday when I was out of the house tending to things, he got a call from our Dish network office... something about payments or something. Then while he had them on the phone he asked them what's up with that deal to get HBO for half price for six months. Then the fact that when he looked into it a couple of weeks ago, someone told him that was over. Then we still keep seeing the advertisments for it. They said it's still going. Well, when I came home he surprised me. I got to see last weeks episode last night. It ended with Jamie losing his hand. And the current recent episode tonight. OH and I saw that one coming. There is no way she's selling her dragons, not even for 8 thousand soldiers. And I knew she knew exactly how to speak their language. I was hooping and hollaring. I would not be posting any of that except I know I'm the only one interested in this show who has not gotten that far in the books. I told him of your calculations of when to start your HBO back up. I can't wait for you to be able to watch it again too. I still have at least one or two episodes I've missed during this time. So there are a few things I'm scratching my head over. It'll just take time that's all.

I started watching, and have caught up to the latest episode. They changed a few things. Spoiler Alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!In the books, Robert married a different woman...but I don't think it will change the story line at all. Also, Sansa was having the dress made for her for Joffrey's wedding, and when she got to the wedding, it turned out to be hers, and she found out at that point that she was marrying Tyrion. He never told her before it happened. I cant' remember if Tyrion was equally surprised or not. The other change, is that Melisandre never brought Gendry back to King's Landing, so I don't know where they're going with that. Things are really going to be picking up from here! I can't wait! Erin

Erin Whoa! OK.... my bad thing with names. Robert is the king who just found out he's going to be a daddy? I think that is who you are talking about. I am finding it interesting that Gendry was the one Eddard Stark was finding out about. I had not made that connection yet until she told him who he was. I was saddened to hear I think they said there are only three new episodes left. I mean I feel like they just started this season. I still have yet to watch the one episode I missed.... number 22. The one thing that is bothering me is the torture (I'm bad with names... Theon Greyjoy?) is being put through. Not only that he's going through it, but I don't understand why? The episode before he was looking for the two boys (and our Tonks who was on the run.) Next thing I know he's tied to that cross in some dungeon, being tortured horribly. Could anyone help fill me in on what's going on there? It makes no sense.

Actually, the last time you saw Theon, he was giving that great long-winded speech at Winterfell, and he got knocked in the head. I can't remember now, who has him..but I don't think we're meant to know just yet. HBO is really exaggerating from the book. Yes, he was tortured, but not in the ways they are showing...he did lose a few fingers, though. But I dont recall in the books that he was tricked into thinking he was escaping, or women came to torture him in other ways. I really have to read those books again! LOL
