Cool. Thanks. Really, when I was surfing online yesterday, I found a thread on Google Search engine where someone wrote an article about Jon Snow's death was not set in stone. I thought, since I really was in a hurry to get back to what I was looking for, that I would have to come back and read it out of curiosity's sake. Honestly, I already chalked it up to some fan of his does not want to let him go. We all know what that's like with JKR's characters. I was one who wanted Dumbledore to be alive so badly. Then she came out and put an end to all of those theories right away.
I did think about the Red Lady being there, but with wonder. What could SHE do there at the wall, especially now that her main storyline is gone. Don't tell me anything, but if she brings Jon back that opens up so many avenues as to how his character could go. Hey didn't he swear his life (to the death) to be on the night's watch? Well, if he does come back, not only because of the night's betrayed him, he has no reason to stay. I just hope he's not changed into some dark character, but more like the person we've come to love.
Something that I was thinking about, when I was watching a scene with Dany, it seems like all of the characters that I really loathed in the beginning, I've come to like. (Tyrian) Then some I liked (if they are still alive) are turning dark. I worried that if the author is doing this on purpose, that Dany might be going bad. I didn't like that idea. SO, I'm now hoping that this is not a way to also change Jon... (Please don't confirm what you know.) Really, thanks for giving me hope. LOL!!! Now my mind can ponder as to what we might see next. With Jon dead completely, that just threw my main theory down the drain.

I'm on my fourth reread of the books (on book 3 now). I have watched the show up through season 3 but then decided to quit because I don't want the books spoiled for me-in case the show does get ahead of the books and tells what happens. I had a bad spoiler experience with Dh and don't want to repeat that again. What I've seen of the show I did like though, I thought the casting was excellent.

I hope I didn't spoil something from my last post. Hey, I'll promise that IF I do mention something in particular I'll always put up the Dark Mark and say Spoiler Warning.
Normally, for me I don't like spoilers, but in a way I'm a bit more relaxed with this particular series. LOL. I keep getting mad that they kill off someone I want to live and say I'm not watching anymore. Then I end up watching because I can't stay away. LOL

Thank you. Really, it makes me wonder if the book author was consulted when they made the show. I was really upset when Momma Stark was killed off. I can't remember her name, but the girl Tyrian loved that was Sansa's personal maid, was she really killed off too? For me, that was the saddest death of them all.

Yes, Shae was killed the same way in the books. As for .catelyn...everything happened the same at the red wedding, but then you see Arya warging into Nymeria, though she thinks it is just a dream, and she drags Catelyn out of the river, where she had been dumped...and she stirs. We later see her as a much changed Lady Stoneheart. I think they have cut off this last storyline. As for Jon, we just don't know...he was left the same way in the books...but his death was never certain. Erin

Sounds like it. I too wondered that they felt they can't fit everything from the books into the show... thus what we are shown. Still, can't wait to see the beginning of next season. Thanks.

Ah man! I as sitting at the mall waiting for my family to finish shopping when I clicked to watch this. I missed the entire last season. Hubby just transferred us from DISH network to Direct to help save some money. We get HBO and other movie channels. My first things to get excited to look up was THIS show and Outlander. SO!!! No spoilers to confirm or deny what I'm about to say... (please that is.) Where I left off, several of these faces were still alive. I know this room though with the young girl (I think her name is Aria) was learning or serving in this place. She's learned to control herself. Still, I think there was something of a change in the last episode for her. Not sure. Anyway, before we got home this afternoon, I had hubby stop by the movie rental place where I can rent this series by season. PHOOEY. It's not out until next month. PLUS at the end of your youtube preview, my THREE months free HBO, will be up just before the series restarts. UGH. LOL!! OK... so at least I can rent last season in about a month. Cool. I look forward to my Game of Thrones marathon. Still, I LOVE to try and figure out the endgame this guy has in store for us. These are faces of dead people. We know the white walkers take over the BODIES of the dead. I honestly feel the main last battle that should happen at the end of the series will be Danny taking back her kingdom at King's Landing (I hope I'm remembering that name properly.) But did you notice? Joffery's face is in there too, so it's not just good people like the Starks and Jon Snow etc. I wonder what this could mean? I wonder what my marathon will reveal for this room from last season. Thanks Erin for posting this. I'm getting excited.

I paused the video when it got close to the faces near the end....it looked like all the Starks...even some we know to be alive...I couldn't quite tell, but don't know what to make of it. One thing for sure...no one knows what's coming this season...the last season covered nearly everything in the books. Arya's story still has more to go, but that's it....kind of fun...we get 2 versions of the story! I do hope he gets those next books written!!! Erin

I only watched it the once. So funny. This is the only show I ever stand and shout NO!!!! at the tv screen at the end of the episodes. There I was watching this video in the middle of the mall, shouting at my phone. while seeing some of the dead faces that I knew were still alive at where I left off. NO SPOILERS PLEASE... but I was hoping at least Tyrion Lannister was still alive. I don't know what happened last season. Still, I don't know if his face was one of the reasons for your comment "even some we know to be alive"... might be a spoiler for this upcoming season. But knowing this guy/writer, this whole scene could be nothing more than a dream someone has... none of it true to what happens. He really likes to play with people's heads....um OURS mainly. (no pun intended)
I think it was Fangsfan who helped me to overcome my huge frustration with the Harry Potter movies. She's helped me long ago, to see the books for what they are and the films for what they are, and enjoy each in their own way. So, I agree with what you said as well.
------
OK I had to go back now that I'm on my laptop... I see the dragon girl there. Also, Sansa is there, but who is that under her? Is that Joffery's mom? I can't tell who that is under the dragon girl. I can't wait to learn more about this room.

LOL Nope...there were no spoilers in my post...I was trying to say that it seems like you can't go by the faces to see who is dead and who is alive this upcoming season...it's no help whatsoever....because it seems like everyone is there.

Eek i was asking for no spoilers. Like I didn't know that Sansa was alive at the end of the last season. I hope to get to see the last season when it comes out next month. YAY!!!
Hmm last i remember, Joffery's mom had her head shaved and had to walk naked through the streets to her home. I can't wait to find out how that turned out. Did she really reform or did she do what she had to to get out of prison. I think one of the three dragons went wild and their mother had them down in a dungeon because one ate a child. Ew that was horrible when Tirion had to kill the love of his life. I cried.
Hey i love this topic. I'm finally beginning to remember! LOL! Thanks for the teaser trailer. There's so much to think about that's to come. It's getting good. I can't wait till next month.
Hugs!

No worries at all. Really, I would not put it past this author to kill off everyone on the show. He seems to be up to something. Hmm? Probably going to bring everyone back all at once (Who knows, maybe have Mellesandra or however it's spelled do it since she's a witch) and have them get their revenge on the people who killed them in the first place. This author is a bit morbid to say the least. LOL.
Really, Sansa is not one of my favorite storylines as of yet. She finally has promise from what I remember her storyline left off for me. Now if you told me Jon Snow died before that happened, I probably would have cried.
.....
What I'm probably going to do, is wait until after I've caught up. It will probably take me a week since I have my entire family home 24 hours a day. None of them watch this show, so I'll have to wait until they are off busy doing something else like.... sleeping at night. Ugh.
BUT..... I probably will come back and want to talk about something having to do with this youtube link. But if you guys want to talk it's perfectly fine. Please do me the favor and put above the content the Dark Mark smiley so I won't read below that line until I'm ready. I know there are two more members here who are watching this show... I think.
I think my main question is.... What is this room for? I know Arya learned to control her anger and hatred there... she also learned to serve and give up everything that was her pretty much. I can't wait to see what last season has to reveal.... if it does at all.... about the meaning of this room.

The wall of faces was different in the books. Not the importance that it seems to be (though we can't really tell yet)on the show.
Miss C. Just curious...what was the last episode you watched?

Erin Well that's cool to know. It really is as though they are writing two different stories for all of us.
Season finale the season before last... SO, if it's season 6 that is upcoming... I missed the entire season 5 (maybe I might have seen an episode or two of this one but I don't think so, before we had to lose HBO.) But I've seen all seasons up to then. The finale of season 4.

UGH.... I waited to the day it came out for rent. 5 minutes after I clocked out from work, I ran down there to the video store. UGH. BOTH copies were out. They are not due back for a week. So, at least I have my name on the waiting list. I hope to get a call any time now.
*sighs*
It would have been perfect for this weekend since there's no Doctor Who on tonight.

THis is so funny.. during my leave of absence, I rented the season that I THOUGHT was the last season that I missed. It was about a year ago, when I last watched Game of Thrones. Well, I watched a couple of episodes only to find out that I missed NOTHING! UGH. LOL! I knew things didn't seem right when I stuck it in and Joffery's mom still had long hair. I KNEW it should not have grown out that fast. Then I noticed other things that didn't make sense... Jon Snow was still keeping watch at the Wall. Yep, I squinted my eyes thinking I must have missed something. SO, I skipped to the very last episode for that season. There it was, the events I already knew happened. So, I had to go to the internet and look up the last season's episode listings. *sighs* Hey, now I still want to know about Erin's youtube preview... It's very interesting and I can't wait to find out.
