Oh come now Miss Charlotte, we all know you so well,
Come on and give it another try, go ahead, I will not tell.
You should be proud to have come so close so far,
Well with you and and all of the others who have given it a try so far, we would have no true stars!

I love how your hints rhyme!
I would look it up, but I don't have access to GOF at the moment...

I see two possibilities for the third remaining thing. One possibility would be a house elf if we're talking about Dobby waking Harry up to give him his presents, but if not could it be the choir of wood nymphs?

There are also the ice sculptures at Beauxbatons. But it sounds like these are all living things so I don't think it fits.

Ah now we have two of the three, though the one most explained is from yet another book altogether you see. The Ball of the Yule did play a big part, and I know that it will come to you all now since you are all so very smart. For it was said "Everlasting icicles had been attached to the banisters of the marble staircase; the usual twelve Christmas trees in the Great Hall were bedecked with everything from luminous holly berries to real,." Ones of THESE! Oh how shiny my kin can be. ... OH.... Ok... I did give others a chance to go look it up if they could.... so I just now did. This is one of those things that we read and don't remember all of the details later on when it's time to recall them. I honestly don't remember there being any owls upon the tree as the decor... but apparently I think it was Fangsfan who guessed that one correct. "... the usual twelve Christmas trees in the Great Hall were bedecked with everything from luminous holly berries to real, hooting, golden owls, and the suits of armor had all been bewitched to sing carols whenever anyone passed them.".... GOF chapter 22 instead.

Fairies 2. Real, hooting, Golden Owls 3. Wood nymphs These are the Three living creatures you will see that were mentioned having decorated Christmas or the Yule Ball Tree.

Are you Professor Igor Karkaroff? I am sorry to say, this is not Igor karkaroff. Rallem, PLEASE review the RULES atop each of the Fawkes Burning Quiz. Only ONE correct answer may be giving in a 24 hour period. That means that if FAWKES acknowledges that you have made a CORRECT ANSWER to any Riddle on the Fawkes Burning Quiz, you may attempt another guess after 24 hours has taken place. If you have made an incorrect guess, and Fawkes has stated as such, you may try again during that same 24 hour period. BUT you posted your next guess less than a few hours after FAWKES posted your Correct Answer so please do in the future watch the timing. It is not too difficult and many have made the same error in either not reading or understanding the rules of this Quiz. If you have any questions, please ask, as Fawkes is always so open to inquiries and hopes that everyone has fun here at Fawkes Burning Quiz. Thank you. Fawkes.

I remember Pius Thicknesse was imperiused after being a short time in office. So I'm wondering if it was him?
