Happy valentines day!!! In Chamber Of Secrets, Harry's 2nd year in Hogwarts, Gilderoy Lockhart sent out singing valentines....
Harry got one---
His eyes are as green as a fresh pickled toad, His hair is as dark as a blackboard. I wish he was mine, he's really divine, The hero who conquered the dark lord.

February,1994 - their 3rd year. Actually the weekend before Valentine's day, Hogsmeade weekend. Harry wears his invisibility cloak and sneaks out of Hogwarts. He plays a prank on Malfoy and company, but in the process his invisibility cloak slips, and Malfoy sees him. Harry rushes back to Hogwarts in a race to get back before Malfoy can get to Snape and catch Harry. Snape does confront Harry, asking him what his head was doing in Hogsmeade, but Lupin intervenes and saves Harry from any punishment.
Hermione also receives word from Hagrid that Buckbeak will be executed.
Edited: autocorrect changed my misspelling of valentine's to father's..lol

Mid-end of February, 1996, in their fifth year, Harry has his reoccurring dream, and this time, is about to reach the open door at the end of the corridor, when Ron snored loudly waking him up. Harry felt disappointed that he hadn't reached the door, and guilty at the same time, for not practicing occlumency which would block these dreams.

Ooo.... That reminds me... long before the last book was out, I had many theories I was trying to post before the time was up. DARules asked me if she could write one on harry's dreams for the QUibbler thread over there. Time got away from her so she never did get around it.
However, for her to think there was some significance to Harry's dreams througout the books... not just this one... shows she most likely had something along the same lines as I did. He was much better at Divinition than he thought. I mean, if you were to look up every dream he had, I'll bet you could see something foretelling.

Near the end of February, 1996, their 5th year, Rita skeeter's interview with Harry appears in The Quibbler. Harry recieves many letters, both supporting him and not. There is such a ruckus, that later that same day, Educational Decree number 27 is made official, making possession of the magazine an offence worth expulsion...which only makes it more enticing to the students, who find many various ways to hide their copies. Seamus apologizes to Harry, now believing him. Within a few days, the Quibbler reprints it's fastest-selling issue ever.

LOL I thought that with this past week being vacation week, and no real plans were made, that I would have so much time to devote to this thread...however, the kids and I have spent most of it having fun (or just being lazy) together. I am now putting together posts for the rest of February, to make sure I get all of the info. I have on here!

Cool.... no worries, I've been lounging around quite a bit this past couple of weeks with my kids. I've missed a lot of work this last weekend and this one now. Here I thought I would be here to make more posts... but like you said... having fun with the kids (my daughter wants me to take her to see Dan's movie again, Woman in Black.) And i've been laying around napping off and on all week. So I do know what you mean.. and no worries. You'll get to it when you can. AND we all do enjoy reading your posts. what I find is fun to think about.. is the particular time of the year that Harry and friends are experiencing different things. we look forward to what you tell us.

February 1995, the second task of the tri-wizard tournament, the lake task, takes place in Harry’s 4th year. Harry swims to rescue Ron from the depths of the lake. He arrives at the captives first. In his worry over what would happen to the others, he waits to make sure that they are saved. Cedric Diggory comes and retrieves Cho, while Viktor Krum gets Hermione. When the hour is up, Harry fights the merpeople to rescue Fleur’s sister. While it turns out that wasn’t necessary, Harry does get points for showing “moral fiber”. He also gets a kiss from Fleur, who is grateful for her sister’s safe return....as does Ron, for helping him.

February 1996, 5th year. Harry once again dreams of Voldemort. This time he IS Voldemort, questioning Rookwood. Apparently, Avery had told Voldemort something, that turned out to be wrong...but Rookwood is able to give him the information he needs about retrieving “it”. We later learn that “it” is the prophecy. Avery had apparently thought that it could be retrieved by an imperiused Bode, but Rookwood put him “on the right track” again.

Keep up the great work Erin. This is one of my favorite threads to visit every day to hopefully read something to spark that excitement once again.

February 1994, Harry’s third year, Harry notices Cho Chang, seeker for Ravenclaw, for the first time, in their quidditch game. He thought she was “extremely pretty”. Cho turned out to be a good flyer, tailing Harry closely during the game, and distracting him from the snitch. As Harry pulled out of a dive to attempt to get rid of Cho, Malfoy and co., dressed as dementors, came out onto the field. Harry, without thinking, aimed a perfect patronus (not yet corporeal) at them, and caught the snitch, for a Gryffindor victory.

Hey thanks for posting this... I was trying to remember real hard if Cho was a seeker or not. I thought she might have been. I was going to put her name down on one of the game threads... word association. I just could not remember if I was correct or not.
Thanks!

March 1, 1980 Ronald Billius Weasley is born to Arthur and Molly. He is their 6th child, and 6th son...all with flaming red hair.

I wonder if it was a Leap Year when Ron was born? Then poor Molly would have had to wait an extra day to give birth to him!

Around the beginning of March, Harry's 5th year: During an Occlumency lesson, Harry deflects Snape's "Legilimens!" with his own "Protego!" and is treated to glimpses of Snape's childhood, which showed Snape as an unhappy child, and teen.

In their 6th year, on Ron's birthday, he ate 1/2 the box of chocolate cauldrons sent to Harry from Romilda Vane...and filled with love potion. This lead to a rather comical situation...and then a scary one, as Ron took the first sip of celebratory wine...which was poisoned. Harry was able to find a bezoar, which saved Ron's life.
Absolutely one of the best sequences of scenes for Ron (Rupert Grint) in all of the Harry Potter movies.
