YEAH! At least I'm not the only one watching SEASONS of TV shows all in one go! Now I don't feel so bad. I've got TWO television shows I'm doing that with right now. .... I was just over on the 'Harry Potter dejavu' thread a few minutes ago, as well as, I've been talking about watching a 'Lost' marathon. Well, my other TV show marathon I'm working on is the 'BBC Robin Hood' series. I am so hooked! (I can't believe I've finally replaced my Alan Rickman obsession with someone new... this time it's Richard Armitage. I thought I'd never get over AR. LOL!) Anyway... Yesterday, while I was working on season two of 'Robin Hood'... I kept seeing the name "Harry Lloyd" pop up in the opening credits. My maiden name is Lloyd, and that side of my family is from London... where many of the cast are from who play in that series. I just was not sure which actor went to that name. See, on that side of my family I have actors in my family as well. So... I like to look, and check out the family resemblances and wonder if we are in fact related... So, I googled the image for that name. Lo and behold, it had to be him. I love his character on Robin Hood, but I despised his character when he played on 'Game of Thrones'.. He's the dragon girl's brother in season one. UGH! >:(His death was a horrible one even if it was long coming. Still, I'm left scratching my head wondering if he might be a distant cousin of mine.

I am so excited to get the third season DVD-I have to save up some money first-lots of unexpected bills this winter. I'm still on my third go around of reading the books-also I think I heard season 4 is starting in April?

I finally splurged today and bought season three DVD! I plan to start watching after I leave here. I try to just watch two episodes at a time but it's hard not to stay up and watch the whole thing all at once!

Our cable company has a promo going this week...free HBO on demand (not the actual group of channels) and so, since I've been in bed, I've been re-watching episodes in preparation for the new season....can't wait! I'm also re-reading the books..there's just so much to remember, I figure it can't hurt!

Really, You can do this? I know I've watched many series online, but I didn't know pay channels like HBO would allow us to do that online. (Mostly, I find series people hijacked and put up on Youtube and would watch cool shows there.) I ought to go check the HBO website, since I never thought about them having one. We had a bad thunderstorm last Sunday night that took out our satellite service while my daughter and I were trying to watch the most recent Once Upon a Time episode. We missed about 20 minutes of it and I told her we can hook up the internet to the tv and watch it later. I know from a couple of years ago that ABC channel would let us watch the most recent 5 episodes free. I hope that Game of Thrones might be like that. I did get to watch the first episode of this season when we had a free HBO preview weekend. I think they did this last year too. LOL. Yeah.... I get it. Just to get us baited and hooked into watching the first episode and tell us too bad if you can't pay to watch the rest of it. I think if we could afford it this year... and it does not look like we will.... I might try to keep watching if they tone some of the horrific stuff down. I'm still hooked on what will happen to a few characters like... The Dragon girl and John Snow. I'd love to see where the young girl's storyline go. She thinks she's without a family aside from her mother's sister. I don't see that lasting long. Still, it was a bit hard to watch her commit murder so easily in the last episode... somehow I find it hard for me that it was not so bad to watch her do that. It's like her innocence has been lost in revenge. LOL. Many ways I find I'm rooting for her to succeed. Now I feel bad for saying that. ... OK.... SO can anyone tell me about what point THIS season starts on tv and the corresponding book? Since I most likely won't get to watch it on tv, at least I might just go buy the corresponding book to keep up with the story that way. I kind of get the feeling I might can deal with the book much easier than watching it. Still, I WANT TO SEE THOSE DRAGONS GROW!

Miss C. The 4th season is basically the second half do the 3rd book. Reading it would help you understand Arya better....like most books vs. screen. Though I will say that HBOs adaptation is excellent! ..if not a bit more....shocking.

Though I will say that HBOs adaptation is excellent! ..if not a bit more....shocking. Erin Oh I understand her and I think that's the thing that helps me to root for her in her goals. It's just that this would not be my normal thing to root for if it were real life. Honestly, I think I'm shocking myself on that one. Thanks for telling me where to pick up reading. Who knows... it's a beautiful day I might just make it to the bookstore and pick up that book to start off reading, now that I know where to begin. And what I'm hoping for when it comes to reading the book in unison to where they are telling the story on TV... is to sort of be able to make it a bit less shocking. Funny... I know I have a huge imagination I wonder now if I might end up creating things more shocking in my mind when reading, than HBO does. LOL! Thanks again.... book three it is!

So I've just started watching Game of Thrones as of today! Yeah, my cousin (who has been begging and nagging me for almost 2 years to watch it) finally convinced me to do it. I've seen bits and pieces of a few episodes and I know roughly who is who, but I hope I don't get too lost in it all.
Everyone I know seems to watch it and love it, so I'd thought I'd give it a shot and see what it's about. I hope it's good!
