Hey.. I'm all excited to see Thor 2 The Dark World. They said that the guy who directs Game of Thrones is the guy they got to direct this next Thor movie. They wanted it to be much bigger, deeper into the world of Asgard and... well more grand of a scale than the last one. Basically, they felt it needed to upgrade from being so comic bookish like they felt that Kenneth Branagh (Lockhart) did it in the first Thor movie to compare with the last Avengers scale of a film. So far, from the commercials, this guys pulled it off. Can't wait for Friday.

Another DVD came in today.. Going to wait for Jenn to come over and watch it when she returns from a business trip.
Somehow Men in Black 3 got onto the Q before the rest of Game of Thrones.. So happy for that as Duddahs really does not wish to watch GoT without the prettier half here.

The dwarf grows on you...doesn't he?
Erin
PS - It's a great series to read, too! Not quite as risque as the show...

The dwarf grows on you...doesn't he? Erin PS - It's a great series to read, too! Not quite as risque as the show... He does! I remember for the longest I could not stand the nasty little guy, but he's turning out to be one of my favorites... now if they don't kill him off we will be alright. I'm not holding my breath on that either. Whoa! Funny how when i just click to post on this page, I think the snow on this site has just picked up a bit. LOL! HEY.. just thought about the Wall and all of that snow. Oosh! shivers.

Tyrion is actually my favorite character. Here's my top ten.
Tyrion Arya Bran Syrio Brienne Jamie Sam Sandor Dolorous Edd For the tenth still trying to decide between Pod/Eddard/ or Knight of FLowers.
I know, can you imagine winter that lasts for ten years, don't think I could take it.

So far, these are the only characters I like at all. LOL. And in this order. Daenerys Targaryen Jon Snow Arya Stark Ygritte Bran Stark Samwell Tarly Catelyn Stark Tyrion Lannister Shae. I like her spunk. These below I'm on the line with: Petry Baelish I may not like his choice of occupation, still I find his character interesting. I can't wait to see where it goes. Margaery Tyrell is growing on me. I hope she does some good and I'm keeping my fingers crossed she gives a certain young man what he deserves. I still don't know how these characters are really like from reading the books. So, it's only based on their characters on the show. ================== I just took a peek at your list Fangsfan and realized I completely forgot about Eddard and Brienne.

Well, normally, I just say the dragon girl or maybe refer to her as "Danny" Then there is Baelish or Littlefinger... which kind of stuck in my mind because I think it's bad to refer to him in such a way. Then there is Margaery Tyrell.. I had to look her name up because I normally refer to her as that girl who kissed Captain America in his first movie. Eddard Stark I normally refer to him as the guy from Lord of the Rings. When I saw fangsfans post mentioning Brienne... I always loved that name and for me does not fit such an amazonish type woman... still, I love her character too. The rest, yes, I remember their names. LOL.

I love that name too. Brienne the character to me represents what a true knight should be-I think she's a better knight than most of the men in the series. One minor character I absolutely adore is Syrio Forel who was Aryás fencing teacher-and is probably dead though there are a lot of theories he's still alive somewhere! For a minor character he made such a huge impression on Arya's and his teachings help her to get through every bad situation. And dead or alive he risked his life so she could escape.

I am right there with you FF.... He is truly a brave and heroic unsung character.
It would be nice if he were to still be alive!~

finally started watching this amzing series last week and almost caught up. i'm now at series 3, episode 8. i haven't really given much thought to favourite characters, the actors all do a brilliant job. i do like jon snow, khaleesi and arya. that king joffrey, i can't stand the sight of him, that misogynistic, sadistic, pompous.....grrrr. can you tell i hate him? mind, as an actor, he's very good, just hate his character and every time i see him on my monitor, i want to reach in and throttle him LOL you know, i thought that this was a british production, but it's not, it's american, but has been filmed in many locations, like scotland, ireland, iceland etc. another thing: there are hp actors in this, too!!! woot woot! natalia tena (tonks). michelle fairley (mrs granger), ralph ineson (amycus carrow), david bradley (argus filch.) a fair few of them!!!
