2.They came from near, they came from afar. They came by vessel and chariot via the stars. We are a head of what and where we come from. Now get along Men and Woman and let us show them how it is done. This sounds like the Triwizard Tournament's contestants... The Durmstrang and the Beaubaton students... then the near would be Hogwarts contestants. Yes Miss Charlotte, the answer is The Triwizard Tournament Champions! Congratulations!

1.My end came about a long time ago, while the deaths arose right under their nose. But I have returned I am proud to say but for some reason there is one too many too play. Is it possible this is the Goblet of Fire itself? It wasn't used for a long time because of deaths in the tournament-and the one too many could be Harry-the extra champion in the tournament. Fangsfan1, your understanding of the Riddle is nearly spot on but the subject itself is incorrect. You are so close you can almost touch it! So please do try again!

NZ, you are addressing what is given in the riddle but not paying enough attention to the second line. It is a given it is the Golden Egg but you are missing the rest for the correct answer. Please do try again if no one else has figured it out first.

I was totally off track on #4. I was thinking it was the portkey at the end of the maze. Because of the line about a mother losing her child (Cedric was killed) and the portkey was the cup that got the gold winnings. But I see now like Fawkes says I wasn't paying attention to the second line. #3 is a poser!!!

Points for Gryffindor. They were taken away from them for sneaking out at night.. then given back causing them to win the house cup in the first book.

I really do like your answer even if it is not the right one. Now see if you can see a common thread between all the other riddle answers that might help you on your merry way!
