Doing well at the moment Erin, hope everyone else is as well!
A bout of warm air swept by us this weekend and it was a perfect time for me to get a head-start on some garden cleaning and seed planting. Hopefully it decides to stick around for a bit longer, but that may be pushing my luck!

Hope everyone is doing well. I have had a lot going on-two recent losses, my beloved 92 year old Aunt Claudia and also our dear cat Duke, age 18. For good news we have a new kitten named Royal, 12 weeks old. He is a party every day! They are also putting a new town septic system in, which they have decided to do right on !street, what a mess. Today they did something that knocked out the water on the whole street, back now though. I am having some time off and having beautiful weather so far. Spent a lot of time sitting on the porch today! I have had both my shots and we have just started going to restaurants again, it seems good. Hope all are staying well and happy

Fangsfan, I'm sorry to hear about your losses. I'm glad to hear about Royal...it can count as a Harry Potter universe name! Funny...we're having town water put in on our street. We're all on well water, here, but due to lawsuits to a local company and the damage they did years ago with polluting, they are now installing it on our street. It's a small street, so now we have to allow plenty of time for them to make room for us to drive in or out. Once done, we will have the option to hook up to the town water (at our own expense). I don't think we will, but it will be good to have fire hydrants on our street! They're not hooking up the sewer, though...fine with me! Work is completely crazy. I have so many evaluations to do...and not enough time to do them. I also just found out that I need to use 2 personal days or I lose them...I may take them just so I can get paperwork done! Ugh! I CANNOT wait for June 18. I've never wanted a school year to end so badly! Erin

Fangsfan, so sorry to hear about your losses as well, but good to hear about Royal! What a funny coincidence this is, my town has recently begun discussions about converting us all to town water and sewers (we are all on individual wells and septic systems at the moment). However, rumors around the town are that many people are against it, mainly due to costs, but also due to all the likely road closures/delays. A bout of warm air swept by us this weekend and it was a perfect time for me to get a head-start on some garden cleaning and seed planting. Hopefully it decides to stick around for a bit longer, but that may be pushing my luck! Well it turns out that I did in fact push my luck A bout of cold weather blew through my area, temps down below freezing for a couple of nights, in typical Canadian fashion. I had to rush to re-winterize and cover up as much as I could. Unfortunately, I did lose a few of my plants and some of my vegetables are on the decline (here's hoping they will spring back, no pun intended). But that's all behind me now, weather's going to be a real scorcher these next few days!

I'm only here for a second. I will post later today to backread and comment. I love and miss you guys so much. I just had an epiphany while walking through with Crimes of Grindelwald an TV. I have to go look something up in the book. I definitely would like all of your opinions. Really, I'm not sure what all has already been discussed or revealed. I might just get to laugh at myself for being so far out of the loop. LOL. It's good to see you guys popping in still. I really have not meant to be gone so long. I think of you all often. I've also been trying to keep up with any wonky things that might be going on with the site. Please comment if there is something I have not noticed as of yet. be back in a bit.

Hi guys! All is well for us! Henri was windy and rainy, but no big deal around here. August has been busy! Aidan was in a high school version of Les Miserables...on a real stage without masks, since all were vaccinated. He enjoyed it! James, now a sophomore transferred to a different campus at his college, which is a bit further that where he went his first 2 years, so now he is living on campus, something he was not ready for 2 years ago. So far, all is going well! I can't imagine how nervous our parents were when we went off to college 3 and 6 (me) hours away, and they maybe got a phone call once a week...James texts with us every day! He seems to be having fun, and just started classes yesterday.
I went back to work on Monday, and Aidan starts tomorrow (as do our students). Paul is doing well, and is on vacation this week. Too bad it's the only summer week that was available for him to take off from work...so no vacation for us this year...hoping next year we can get a week that we are all able to take!
Let me know what you have all been up to! Erin

Glad to hear everyone was okay!
I'm doing well also, can't complain. Summer is winding down over here now, starting to get a tad cooler week by week, so we're trying to enjoy the most of it while we can.
I know we talked a bit about it before, but has anyone else heard any news about the HP Tv series? I know there were a lot of rumors about its content, but haven't seen or read anything about it lately.

Wow, I hadn't heard anything about a possible tv series! That would be so cool, do you know what channel it would be on NZ? I would love it if those rumors are true.

No I've never heard of a TV series either however sounds good to listen to it now. To tell the truth, I was a bit scared to peek in here more recently. I'd heard about those bad storms that came up from the gulf past me, then went up toward all of you. I want for you guys to be ok, always. These days the winds and such have all gone crazy. I'm glad to see all of your posts. I really didn't want to posts what's kept me from being online much this year, however it sure feels good to be able to sit here now. This has been the year of the surgeries. My hubby's had six back surgeries with more to come. Some didn't heal well so I had to be nurse and main head of the house during that time. Son had a major surgery too that went very well and this has made him more of a happy handful really. LOL! So good to see. Then I also had hand surgery (carpal tunnel) that's still bugging me a bit, but I'm far better than I've been in years. I still have four cats. OH and my daughter has moved a couple of streets away. She still engaged to the same guy from before. All is well on that front. He been working as apprentice to our good friend Howard who own/runs a company that's carpenter or house repair company. -------- OH! I"ve already started decorating pumpkin's and ghosts in my house. Have any of you guys started decorating for Halloween?

We haven't started decorating yet...but Aidan and I are heading to Spirit of Halloween this morning! Don't know what we'll decide on... Also this year is strange because usually, Aidan and his friends have their plans all laid out...this year (they're all 15/16 now), they have no idea what they're doing... Meanwhile, Paul and I have a party we have to plan costumes for...neither of us are huge on wearing costumes...I'll have to think of something simple... Erin

Miss C, It sound like you've had a lot going on lately! How are you holding up?
We've been ok. Aidan continues to be involved with theater, but this year, is focusing on tech..specifically lighting. He is running a spotlight for the high school play this fall, and then in the spring, is going to be the lighting designer for the middle school play...he has a LOT to learn!!!
James has taken to dorm life fairly well, and continues to come home on the weekends.
We are hoping that, now that a lot of colleges are having students in person again, that routes will open up, and Paul can go back to his former position...which is more money. While we've been thankful that he wasn't laid off (as many in his company were), the drop in pay, though doable, has not been fun.
I hope your husband's surgeries go well, that you are able to have some time to yourself, and that you are all happy and healthy!
Erin

Hello friends, been meaning to check in on you all, but life has been very hectic as of lately.
My father broke his leg a couple of month ago, after falling off a ladder at his house (cleaning the gutters of all things!). It was quite bad, broke it in a few places, but the doctors told him he was very lucky it was just broken bones. My parents live a few hours north of me, so I decided to stay with them for a bit while my father's leg started to heal. Good news is that he is doing great and it won't be too long before he is 100% again, according to the doctors.
I've decided to get a head start on the holiday decorating this year. Finished up all the outdoor lighting and decorations this past weekend, while we were treated with an unusually warm couple of days. It's so short the holiday season and this year I want to take time to enjoy it.
Erin, great to see Aidan getting involved! I used to run lighting as well during high school for musicals and orchestral performances. Loved the behind the scenes work, plus I was able to watch all the performances.
Miss Charlotte, I hope your hand is healing well!
