Cupcakes? That's so funny. My daughter really doesn't like cake, even though she's ok with blowing out candles for her birthday. This year I decided to take a different approach (and I was thinking about cupcakes anyway, but found something new.) Looks like someone took off with the top donut hole. The candles were sparklers candles. Oh such and easy, yummy quick cake to make. These are fresh Krispy Kreme glazed donuts. (the holes don't have to be powdered. I know Duddahs doesn't like powdered sugar.) My girl is 18 and I want to cry. Our house definatly feels weird now. ![]() |

Fangsfan... I know what you mean. Since I've been online most of her life, and the other day, I was going through OLD WB and ARF site posts I'd saved, I remember where she was when I was posting back in 09 and before. How I miss her being so little. I used to refer to her as my "Little One" when sharing stuff about her online. So, I know you've been there back in those days. |

Fawkes spent Duddahs birthday along side him and his friends. They brought him all sorts of fun things to play with and some new feather protection too!
Miss Charlotte, your little big one had the coolest birthday cake ever! Duddahs simply had a Carvel cake but it was good! Duddahs loves them as they do not bother his tummy the way some cakes do.

I actually made an ice cream cake once. My daughter was turning 5 that year. I bought, and still have, a cake pan where you make two different layers of the cake. Once completely cooled, if you were to place both layers on top of each other, you will have a hollow inside. You could fill it with a different layer of cake or other fillings. Really, what it was made to do was fill with slightly softened ice cream. I chose the ice cream that time. Once both layers were filled with the ice cream, you'd freeze them overnight. When you were ready, you would place one on top of the other and frost. You'd thaw it out of course long enough for the cake part to be able to cut. We loved it.
This in this picture and from what you've described is all ice cream... sounds like a brand name too.
