(Guys... I need a favor if you would please... Could each of you tell me if you SEE the birthday listing down near the bottom of the front page? SO far as Grandpalovegood.. I can see it there but only on one skin. But as MissCharlotte, I can't see it by any skin. If you all can please do a shout out to let me know if you can see it.. I would very much appreciate it. No GLG, The birthday notice appears only to show to you and Duddahs and no one else.. Also only on the Quibbler for them too.

Wanderer and everyone else... I do apologize about this... The only time I can work on seeing if any code will work to allow the birthdays to be anounced on the front page is ON someone's birthday. I've been working all afternoon and still, no luck. I'm not giving up... So I'll try again after I get dinner started for the family.

Oh also, If someone has their birthday set to private, in their profile, then it will only appear to the Administrators of the site.

NZ, this is only on your Bio Page, that does not have to do with the main page. It does not show the dates that are still hidden to keep the age private. There are things we are privy to that the general membership does not know about too. Some things such as PM's are completely private though, so do not worry that anyone might be spying. We trust the members not to post material that is not allowed.

Yeah.. I see where NZ is comment seems to fit.. but really it's not the "birthday" that is set to private but the "AGE." (you don't really know anything about age by just the birthday.. See.. just like Duddah and my daughter share the same birthday. ;D ) Still, I'm being told that just because we might choose to hide the age this would also hide the birthdate. I think someone is thinking I'm talking about on the profile page, not the info box at the bottom of the front page. See.. remember over at the other place when not only Miss Charlotte but grandpa and my Albus Dumbledore were all showing having a birthday? Well.. only one had the "show age" option clicked.. the others were for hidden, yet they all showed up. Oh well.. maybe over there they have some code installed that overrides for the announcements sake goes. because I did test this HERE.. and sure enough.. Miss charlotte the regular member can't see grandpalovegood's birthday on the profile once I hid it.. OK.. it's late.. I need sleep. Anyhow... the birthdays ALL show up on the calendar up top of the page.. so nothing really is hidden after all. good night.  [glow=red,2,300][glow=red,2,300]======================================[/glow][/glow] [glow=red,2,300] [/glow] I don't want to take away from anyone's birthday by posting this ON someone's birthday that is why I'm editing THIS post here. But I have been informed by Proboards head of Admin (that just as has been posted here already.. it's been confirmed) that IF anyone has their "age" blocked (on their profile settings) from being seen by others.. this means that their birthday will NOT show on the front page for the members. Only the Admins, as well as the person who's birthday it is will be able to view it there... no one else. Really, I don't see why age and birthday would be considered the same.. I mean.. Look at Duddah and My daughter's birthdays are both on the same day but that does not give away how old they are.  BUT In fact Wanderer did have her birthday blocked.. so when I came in here at the beginning of that day and saw her birthday being shown on the front page for ME as Grandpalovegood.. I automatically came in here to post a Happy Birthday to her.. IT was my goof that I should not have done. When in fact it was her choice for us to NOT see it... SO... My sincere apologies to Wanderer for making this public when it was not your wish.  Two Bottom lines.~ Please.. if you have your age hidden, please don't think we are being mean by not saying Happy Birthday to you since in fact they are both linked on how the site is set up. ~ But if you DO still want for us to say Happy Birthday to you but still don't want your age shown... Please send me a PM and I will personally make sure that I WILL post on that morning a Birthday Message and you may still keep your personal information as your own. We care about each and every one of our members... and feel that all of you are special in our eyes.. We never want for anyone to feel like they are slipping through the cracks.. We love you guys.
