Wizards unite is now available!
I started to play...but now I need to find an inn to get more spell energy...they need to make that a bit less difficult.
So far it’s fun, and if you play, friend me. 6231 9521 9185

Anyone else playing?
A lot of players (on an Facebook group) are trying to level up quickly and are getting frustrated because it can be hard. ME? I'm just strolling along, playing when I can, and enjoying it. IF any of you play, please add me to your friends (my code is: 6231 9521 9185) My player name is Professor Erin. I've learned a bit about game play, so if you're playing, or want to start, let me know!

I'm still playing! Sticking to the main story, as I don't have much time to do the side tasks as well...I keep ALMOST finishing them...
I AM playing Wizards Unite, and having fun! There are side tasks there, too, but I find that they give enough time to finish them, and you don't have to wait between steps of the task, like you do in HM...which is what always gets me...

Just another plug for Wizards Unite...they have community days (which are really 3 hours), and when the weather was warm, I would go to a park in town that had inns (where you get energy) a greenhouse (where you grow ingredients), and a fortress (where you fight dark forces). Over the summer, on one of the community days, I found a group of other players, and we tend to meet up (without planning) on community days, and help each other advance through the tasks. There was one yesterday, and I needed to be warm, and in a place with free wifi (as our data was down to low speed for the rest of the month). So I went to our local mall (Simon malls all sponsor locations for Niantic (Wizards Unite and Pokemon GO). I wore an HP sweatshirt, and sat down to do the tasks. After a few minutes, I could tell someone else was using the same fortress, so I looked around, and a couple of other players were looking at me, too...so we wound up helping each other in the higher levels of the fortress, which can be difficult to do by yourself. Later, I said hello to another group who were playing together. It's been fun finding other fans!
I really like the combination of Hogwarts Mystery and Wizards Unite. Many players try to speed through, level up quickly, and do every side task as quickly as possible. I am content to play when I can, and try side task when I will be able to finish. I think I am enjoying it more, because I'm not in a rush to get it all done. In both games, you can play completely free. It may take you longer to complete. You can also spend money in game, if you wish, but all tasks can be done by payers, and non-payers, alike.
Hogwarts Mystery takes place the 7 years before Harry Potter comes to Hogwarts, and there are many familiar characters. You start as a first year, take classes, make friends (and enemies), and solve mysteries. Side quests allow you to earn extra prizes (often a limited issue accessory), or books that allow you to "buy" pets and other things. It's a fun adventure that really brings you to the Hogwarts of the books. They are currently rolling out chapters in the sixth book..I am in the beginning of my 5th year.
Wizards Unite takes place after the last wizarding war. There is a calamity that is risking the exposure of the wizarding world to muggles. Your job is to find these foundables, which are often pieces of objects, creatures, people, or even memories, and return them to their rightful place. There is a story that goes along with it (that mentions some original places/characters objects...and sometime Hagrid helps you out with some information as well), but it is largely you, in the muggle world, finding these things and sending them back. You get pieces of the story as you go through. It sticks to the canon of the books, while adding in this story (sort of like fan fiction that does not go against canon). So Harry and Hermione are working for the ministry, and many of the places you visit through portkeys are just like places from the books/movies. The game is meant to unite wizards...so they want you to get out there, and meet other players.
I like these both because I can play on days I feel like it...play for a few minutes if that's all I have. Some tasks in both games are timed, and if I feel I can do them on time, I will do them...if not, oh well.
If you haven't tried out these games, you might really like them!
