What if Merope had named Tom Gault instead of Riddle? Do you believe he would have still have grown up with the same identity crisis? Hmmm interesting point Duddahs. I remember, vaguely, years ago JKR said in an interview that Voldemort's conception due to a love potion given by his mother to his father means that he doesn't have the ability to love (or something along those lines). So I think it's safe to say he would've probably been a bad or evil person, maybe not to the same degree as he was though. As for naming him Gaunt, it would've probably made him more well known in the wizarding community, so it may have given him the feeling of fitting in (if he's able to feel that emotion). |

I think she might have been a powerful witch if given a chance. I mean, look what she's done on her own when her father and brother was not looking? She made a powerful love potion. Wait... I wonder if she only made her first attempt at doing that once they were gone. Still, look at the potential she had proven by doing something on her own without survision or guidance? |

What if....
The Dragons could talk that were in the First task of the Goblet of Fire? I wonder how many of the contestants might have tried to reason with the dragon for their fake egg? Or what might they have done differently considering?

I believe he would still have found a way to do it. But one benefit of this whole episode-I think the fact that they saved Draco from the fire helped improve their relations with the Malfoy family, at least a little bit.

I really don't know. We did see Sirius come from a completely different background than how he turned out. Some reason, I just imagine Voldemort would eat his young if he ever had any. I guess he died a virgin. So sad.  Well, maybe not. |

I always thought that would be a good match! Yes I think Neville might do that. Luna seemed very interested in magical creatures, she could see thestrals, and she was always on the lookout for new and unusual magical beasts. I think she would be good in the care of Magical Creatures field, as a teacher, assistant or care giver.

What if;
What if Neville Longbottom had found his voice much earlier in life.. Do you believe that he would have been then seen as the Chosen One?
In actuality, I always see Neville as the true Chosen One because it was Neville who finally destroyed the final Horcrux, thus allowing Harry to destroy Voldemort

Harry, as an adult did forget and use his wand to change the TV channel? Can you imagine the Ministry of Magic trying to sort that one out if any muggles saw? LOL!

Ooo, that would be a good place Duddahs. Thinking about it now, there aren't too many places that are as hidden at the Room of Requirement or the Chamber of Secrets. I think both are not even listed on the Marauder's Map too, the Chamber of Secrets for sure isn't.
On a similar topic, I wonder if it's possible to cast protective enchantments like Hermione did on their campsite in DH, on classrooms or areas inside Hogwarts, or would Hogwarts' own enchantments not allow for that?
