I wish there was a thread like this on every site I had ever been to... I mean out of all of these years being a member of the WB I still am finding out new things about the site that was something open to me for years.

SO this is a thread where I will post how to use any of the site features that you might not know how to do.

First.. since I have this locked to all members aside from Admin.. If you have any questions send them to me via PM and I will respond HERE on this thread because who knows.. You might not be the only one who can't figure things out.

So instead of this being a question thread... it's going to be an answer thread.... then the persons who doesn't know something... will remain anonymous to all.

So shoot me that owl... then off we go.

A couple of people made comments that made me realize I might need to put this up.

To choose Skin (or appearance) for your personal viewing while signed in here.


First you go to your profile. then select Modify Profile. (It's up top of the screen.)



Then scroll down the page until you find the skin option.



Then click on the little arrow and a drop box will open up to show you the choices you have... select one.




then when you are finished always remember to save it by clicking at the bottom... Modify Profile





You can go back and forth looking at them until you decide which one you like.

To post Images

Click the little picture looking button just below the S with the line in it.

Then paste in your p.bucket or TP direct link code within the two center brackets.

put the image address right here with no spaces[/img]



Now hopefully your image will be small enough to not freak everyone out by stretching the page.. but if you do need help.. But if it is large... Never worry.. We are all friends here so no one will be mean and clobber anyone.. Just POKE me and when I get here next I will resize and fix your post..

For the meantime... leave the link without the "img" or "/img"... When I fix it... I'll add them in at that time.

Resizing an image for posting using Paint.
First... I know there are more than one way to do this on other sites.. the codes for there might work here.. but I'm so old school that once I get one way stuck in my head, then that is what I do from then on... for me that is easier than trying to rewire my old brain sometimes. Yep... this is sad.

First, you have to have the image already saved to your computer... I mean, if it's an image you took with your own camera... Don't ask me how to get it onto your computer from there because I am totally lost on that point.

But if you have saved to your computer.. then good... OR if you find an image online somewhere... say you google and find an image you like..

~ Hover your cursor/arrow over the image then right click.
(This will open up a window that will give you options.)

~ Click on "Save Picture As..."
(Rename it or not is your option. But this will put it into your Picture section on your compter.)

ONCE ON YOUR COMPUTER
Most computers have a Paint Program... I"m still trying to learn other types of image programs... Ones where we can learn how to create cool pictures, avatars, banners etc for ourselves. But Paint is easy to resize for me for now.

~ Open Paint.

~ Click "FILE" (located up top left side of the screen.)

~ Click "OPEN" (make sure this opened up your "pictures" and not documents.)

~ Click on the "IMAGE you wish to resize."

~ Then again click "OPEN."

Now the image should be seen on your paint window.

~ Click "Image" then "Resize/Skew." (This window below should open up.)



~ Change BOTH of the Horizontal and Verticals on the top (leave the bottom ones alone unless you want a crooked picture. ;D )

BUT when you change the image... you have to use the SAME number... say you want it half the size, then put "50" in both spots. You might still have to do it again and again until you get it the smaller size you like. Still, You can always click undo if you did something too much.

~ Click "OK" to see the new resized image.
Sometimes you have to play around with it... It might take a few tries to get it they way you want.

Once things are just right....

~ Click "FILE"..... "SAVE AS"... And definately Rename this new image so you may keep the original and now you have the resized one as well.

Resizing to a specific size.... say for an avatar or banner restriction. I'll update this information later... There is another step involved.

Then go to an image saving site like TP .com/

Save that code to post the image here. Good luck... If you have any questions, then please by all means send me a PM to my MissCharlotte sn. I have no problem helping if I can.

Now if you don't have Paint.... I have no problem at all if you send me the images via PM and then I'll send the resized image back to you for you to post where you like.

Control panel button functions: automatically places the codes you wish to use in each individual post:

Left click and highlight the words you wish to change.

to "quote" another person's words you wish to comment on

 to use bold print

to use to make words italic's

[glow=red,2,300]to make words glow[/glow]

to strike through

to underline

to change font size

to insert an image (see above post)

to make the words move across the page

[shadow=red,left,300]to make words shaddow[/shadow]

to insert a You Tube link (see above post)

 to insert a hyperlink

 to change fonts.... I really would like to check this one out.
