Another one that's wrenching my heartstrings...
Dame Maggie Smith/Professor Minerva McGonagall has left us.
So many moments I loved with this character, who held her student to the highest standards, and with the utmost respect.
"Have a biscuit, Potter"
"It unscrews the other way..."
"May I offer you a cough drop, Dolores?" "He has achieved high marks in all Defense Against the Dark Arts tests set by a competent teacher."
"Take Charms, and I shall drop Augusta a line reminding her that just because she failed her Charms OWL, the subject is not necessarily worthless!"
She always stood her ground for what was right, and had some of the best lines, as a result!
Other works include: Downton Abbey, Sister Act, David Copperfield, Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, and even guest starred on the Carol Burnett Show...along with far too many roles to list here.
Professor McGonagall, Dame Maggie Smith, with utmost respect, in life and on the screen, we will miss you. Our own Duddahs will be honored to escort her to her next adventure.

So sad to hear about her passing, such an icon both on and off the screen... RIP
Thanks for sharing these quotes, Erin, my favorite of hers has always been "It unscrews the other way..."!
