Our beloved Hagrid joined those great wizards we've lost on this earth, on October 14, 2022. Robbie Coltrane was the perfect match for JKRs character, which she first based on a biker she met in a bar, who talked with her about gardening. She later said she pictured Robbie Coltrane in this role...and he was perfect for it!
We first met Hagrid in The Sorerer's/Philosopher's Stone (as seen here: www.imdb.com/title/tt0241527/mediaviewer/rm769024768?ft0=name&fv0=nm0001059&ft1=image_type&fv1=still_frame&ref_=tt_ch )
While a little too accepting of dangerous creatures, he loved every one of them...including the human ones.
