Alan Rickman played the much misunderstood Severus Snape. His portrayal is arguably a perfect representation of the character. His death sent ripples of sadness throughout the Harry Potter fandom. Alan Rickman passed away on January 14, 2016 (14/1/16).

Here, he is portrayed as what his character truly was...Harry's protector.
